Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Abel is affectionate, playful, smart, and obedient. He's also house-trained and a loyal companion who loves to cuddle, especially with his head on your lap, and is always ready for belly rubs. Abel enjoys a solid 10 hours of sleep, as long as you’re right there sleeping, too. He settles beautifully after a 5-10 minute romp with a ball or frisbee, a game of hide-and-seek, or a nice walk filled with plenty of sniffing and marking. And while he might pull a bit (okay, maybe a lot) on his walks, he’s well-mannered in the home. He even knows a few tricks and performs with or without treats! You can trust Abel to be calm and content when left out of his kennel for several hours—his longest solo time was seven hours, and he simply rested and kept watch for any "dangerous" Amazon trucks. Abel would love a home without kids or other animals, where he can relax without being disturbed during meals. He’s independent about his space and prefers not to be poked or prodded. When grandkids or visitors are over, he happily hangs out in the bedroom if needed. Truly, Abel is an easygoing guy who’s ready to bring so much love to the right home. He has a few quirks, but don’t we all?   Abel does take an oral medication twice a day to help prevent seizures.    Abel is from an owner surrender. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet sweet Ethel! Here are some quick stats on her! -Very treat motivated. I was able to use her own food to make her stick to my side in the yard. Additionally, used this method for recall/sit. - She loves kids as long as they respect her space. She does scurry away from quick movements but will forgive you if you hold your hands down and palms up. - She's eager to please. Very trainable. Super affectionate. Doesn't do furniture unless you ask her to come up. She only comes half way. - She is dog friendly but requires slow intro unless there is a barrier. -Loves attention. She'll lean into you and nudge for pets.   Does she sound like a fit for you??   Ethel is from an Owner Surrender. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hudson, plays gently with our cat and loves to run around the yard. Ideally, he would have a place where he can run and expel some of his teenage energy. Hudson has a 100 different facial expressions and cute head tilts when he’s curious and listening. His ears and their different positions are to die for!  He is sweet and gentle and hilariously engaging. He can also be quiet and often puts himself to bed when he is tired. Hudson loves to play and be near you. He also is great at going to another room to rest if he just isn’t vibing on your current activities. He likes pets and attention from his humans but he doesn't snuggle. He’s an incredibly handsome boy who is smart and fun. He’d make an ideal partner for hiking, long walks, and families with older kids. He will need a little bit of training but overall it’s a really great boy who’s just waiting for his forever home.  Hudson is from a local reservation. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Oso! I am a sweet, gentle dog who loves spending time with my humans. I enjoy playing outside, napping on the couch, and getting peanut butter treats from my foster dad. I am a very laid back dog who just wants to hangout and enjoy life with my humans.  I am a bit shy and a little timid so meeting new people is a little scary. Once I get to know you and start to feel comfortable, I will give you kisses and even snuggle on the couch with you. I tend to warm up to women a little faster than I do men. Finding a family who will be patient and understanding while I learn and gain confidence is very important.  I really enjoy being outside! I get the cutest little zoomies and will try to get my humans to play with me. The cold doesn’t seem to bother me one bit. I am a little shy when it comes to going to the bathroom while leashed. Because of this (and my love of playing outside!) I would do best in a home that has a fenced in yard.  Hanging out with my human is my favorite thing. I prefer to be wherever they are (I am a great companion!). We are working on kennel training, and while I do well, it isn’t my favorite place to be. I would much rather me laying on the couch near my foster mom. I am not super talkative unless I am playing outside or alerting my humans that there is someone new at the door. I have done well with other laid back dogs but need to find a home with no cats. My foster family thinks I am going to make a wonderful companion for a loving family!    Oso is from a local shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Jayda, I’m a sweet little girl who has a lot of love to give. I enjoy running around the yard with my foster dog playing the catch and chase game. I am a fan of hiding and have burrowed under my fosters deck, so I will need a yard that is escape proof and an adopter who can watch me closely until I get confident that I do not need to hide.  I am still working on confidence in the home, my kennel is my safe place. I enjoy the kennel door being open so I can hang out in there when I’m feeling unsure.  I’m a beautiful gal that has so much potential as someone’s best friend I just need time and patience to thrive. * Jayda needs to be adopted into a home with another dog present to help show her the ropes * Jayda is from a local reservation. Story
Location: Marion, SD My name is Peyton and I'm ready to meet my forever family! I'm calm and timid at first but become a goofy and outgoing girl once I warm up to you. I'm still learning how to dog, I don't know how to play yet. When I get excited, I don't know what to do with my paws and they just go crazy and there's no controlling them. I am good with cats and like other pups! I don't know if I like children (haven't been around them) but my foster mom thinks I would since I love everyone and everything, I do use my paw to get attention or to show my love (sometimes I don't know my own strength). I now know what "sit" "come" and "no" mean. I am not food aggressive, submissive attitude, extremely treat motivated and I loves to cuddle with people. I love snuggles and I make the cutest sounds when I yawn! I have a good amount of energy so I'm looking for a large yard or someone who will be very active with me. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Gunner is an adorable sable male GSD. Gunner lost his mom suddenly and needed a place to go, so we took him in. Gunner had a knee surgery previously, so he does walk a little funny, but that does not stop him from playing with his jolly balls! Gunner should be the only dog in the home at this point in his life. He is crate trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Experience needed for Gunnar, he’s a great dog, but needs a strong handler. If you are interested in learning more about Gunner, you can apply on our website www.skylarsscholarships.org (the application is listed under the “more” tab).
