Story
Currently in Vancouver!!! Meet Huchu – Searching for His Forever Home Age: 4 years Weight: 28kg Sex: Neutered male Color: Black & white Huchu’s story is heartbreaking—he was once on the euthanasia list at a city shelter in 2022, his life nearly taken before it truly began. Thankfully, he was rescued, and since then he’s been waiting quietly, hoping someone would finally see him and give him the love he deserves. Despite what he’s been through, Huchu’s gentle soul shines through. He’s polite with people and dogs, calm on walks, fully house-trained, and shows no signs of separation anxiety. At home, he’s quiet and non-destructive, happy just to be near you. He even allows his paws to be touched and stays calm during cleaning—always patient, always trusting. He’s also an excellent traveler, hopping into the car with ease and riding peacefully by your side. He adapts beautifully to home life—content, low-maintenance, and so easy to love. Gentle with a cat! Huchu has already lost so much, but he hasn’t lost hope. What he needs now is a family who will give him the security he’s been waiting for, someone who will promise him forever. Please open your heart and consider adopting Huchu. He has been waiting far too long, and he deserves to finally come home. Send in your application through our website! Story
**About Mini:** Thank you for your interest in adopting Mini. Please know that Mini is an international rescue through Taiwan. When your application is approved, you will need to pick her up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, IAH, YVR, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process for many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Mini's Rescue Story Personality: Mini is absolutely the most perfect FMD (Formosan Mountain Dog) we have ever encountered. No word describes her better than "perfect." Mini was once tied up with a heavy chain outside a house. The house was empty—no one lived there. The owner had simply tied Mini and another dog there, often leaving them without food or water. Since both dogs were chained and unable to forage, they could only bark for help. It was these barks that a member of our rescue organization heard while passing by. The rescuer tried to find the owner but quickly realized the house was abandoned. Neighbors said the owner only came by occasionally. Because the dogs were chained on private property right by the door, the rescuers couldn't take them immediately, so they committed to bringing them food every day. One day, the rescuer saw Mini wandering outside alone. Unsure why she had been abandoned, Mini was just moving aimlessly, sniffing for food, and even approaching people for attention. When she saw the rescuer from a distance, Mini recognized her. She quickly ran over and immediately lay on the ground, rolling onto her belly to show affection. Knowing Mini had been deliberately abandoned, the rescuer took her home immediately. What makes Mini so incredible is how incredibly smart and friendly she is. She immediately learned to use pee pads indoors and was accurate every time. Her calm, non-confrontational, and incredibly optimistic personality means she gets along wonderfully with people (including children), cats, and other dogs! Mini's rescuer summarizes her by saying: "Goofy, great natured, and very easy to care for." This perfect personality makes her an ideal match for both first-time and experienced families. Mini spent her early life chained up and hungry. Now, she is ready to find her forever home—a home that can give her the warmth and love she has always deserved. Story
My name is Ms. Marley and I am an affectionate, sweet, playful, smart, and quiet 3 year old gal. I am part Belgian Malinois and part Labrador retriever. I weigh about 62 lbs and I measure about 20 inches at my shoulder. There is a good chance that I will greatly benefit from a 'job' within my family home. After all, my breed background is to be a working dog. I am not likely to be a dog who sits in front of the fire and just relaxes most of the day.  When I was about four or five months old, I got a viral enteritis causing diarrhea. My then “owner” didn’t want to spend the money to get me treated so I was dropped off at the terrible shelter in Wuhan, China. The terrible shelter wouldn’t take me because they didn’t want to spend the money treating me either. A really nice lady volunteer took me to her vet to get me treated and brought me to her shelter. I have been at her shelter for about a year. I am a good girl who loves to play, being still a young pup. I get along very well with the other dogs and I also love my rescuer and her family. I so long to have a family I can call my own and to flourish with them. I'm told that I am very trainable. So far, I have some leash-walking skills and I have a nice relationship with my rescuer's young daughter. I don't know any cats so I'm not sure how I would be around them. I have been spayed, microchipped, and immunized. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2053001##

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Horang🐯 (Horang means Tiger in Korean) 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Heartworm negative. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Horang waited a long time for a family at the Cheongju City Shelter, but no one adopted her. As her holding period had expired, she was at risk of euthanasia. Fortunately, Adogs rescued her just in time. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is a bit shy and feels uncomfortable with people at first. When she gets used to them, she welcomes them, and barks happily as if displaying her feeling of intimacy! * With Dogs: Growls at new dogs at first and expresses discomfort. Recently shows her reluctance to go to where other dogs gather. Feels uncomfortable when she has to share a living space and tries to avoid going there. Does not chase after other dogs nor attack them, though. Has recently shown persistent behavior toward a new friend, so we are focusing on training to address the issue. * With Cats: When encountering cats on a walk, she gets very excited and runs to chase them. Sometimes shows aggressiveness at them, so caution is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Currently lives at our center, so it's hard to know for sure. * Potty Training: Is 100% outdoor potty trained, even though she is staying alone in her separate kennel. * Walks: Loves walks, especially running or trotting ones! Sometimes gets excited and pulls on the leash hard during walks. Occasionally, she chases after a small dog or cat as running at them. Is currently learning one by one while getting walk training! * Car Sickness: Still being observed, but so far, she doesn't seem to get car sick. * When seeing other dogs go out for a walk, she sometimes barks to express her desire to go out. * Loves treats and walks! * When with a lot of other dogs, she gets very uncomfortable and may become stiff due to the discomfort.
