Astro is located in Houston, Texas and is available for transport to this area. Astro is 2-3 years old. He is very sweet and friendly with people and so far has done very well with smaller dogs he’s been around. He gets a little nervous around other big dogs so we are taking it slow with him. He is very affectionate and just wants to be by people all the time. He doesn’t know any strangers and is getting work with in a foster home on basic obedience, leash walking and kennel/potty training and has done very well so far. He has been neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for heartworms. If you would like more info please email westhoustonanimalrescue@gmail.com

Story
Reese is as sweet as everyone's favourite chocolate, so why not your new favourite dog?She is a fun, loving young lady looking for an experienced home. Reese would benefit from someone who can work on her confidence as she can be quite anxious, and timid with new things. With slow introductions to new things and new people, Reese will hopefully gain the confidence she needs to become the dog of your dreams! Reese would do best in a breed-experienced home who can help her work on her basic manners, jumping, walking well on a leash, and proper introductions to new dogs. She's very food motivated, so positive reinforcement training would be the best for her ongoing training! Reese has shown dog/cat reactivity and would do best as the only pet in the home. This bright, friendly girl greets staff with a wagging tail every day, and she enjoys playing with her toys and running in the yard. Do you think you could be Reese's person? Here are some ways to find out:1. Visit our centre to meet her during viewing hours at 3202 Norland Ave, learn more about her ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or2. Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs. Please note our adoption/viewing hours 1-5pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday. Story
Hi there, my name is Zuma, and I'm the sweetest dog you'll ever meet! I was abandoned in a industrial area along with 4 other pups. We had no food or water and were so scared. We were so happy to be rescued, we couldn't stop jumping around and licking our rescuer! I never thought I'd find a loving home. But here I am, hoping to find my furever family in Canada! I'm a fast learner, and I've already mastered some basic commands. But there's always room for more learning, and I'm ready to learn whatever my new family wants to teach me. I'm very friendly with strangers and visitors, and I never show any aggression towards them. In fact, I'm a big fan of belly rubs and treats, and I'll do just about anything for them! I love spending time outdoors and enjoying the fresh air. I could spend hours laying on the grass, chewing on my favourite bone. But what I love most is being with other dogs and people. I'm a social butterfly and kennel life is not the best for me. Although I'm crate trained, I'd benefit from a home that always has time and love for me. My fur is soft and fluffy, and my big brown eyes will melt your heart. But it's not just about looks for me - I've got a heart full of love to give, and I can't wait to find my fouever family to share it with. I promise to be your faithful friend and loyal companion, and I'll always be there for you through thick and thin. Zuma is in Kuwait but ready to travel once adopted! Story
Estrella is a Shepherd x cattle dog cross weighing 45 lbs. Estrella and her litter of 5 were found near the SPCA Puerto Vallarta sanctuary. Their mum Keisha was tied up and left blind after surviving being poisoned. The puppies were in very poor condition suffering from malnourishment at such a young age. Estrella spent her early life in the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico. On walks she would always check that her blind mum was ok and would guide her along. Estrella is now in foster in Kelowna where she is living (and cuddling) with two other dogs. She can be timid to start with new dogs and cats, but really loves to walk with other dogs and is playful. She enjoys the beach, swimming and playing frisbee. She was the calmest of her litter. Estrella would like a home with a yard and would surely love another dog in the home. Estrella has been kind with people. She's a stunning dog with a kind heart. If you think you might be a good fit for Estrella please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little bit about yourself, and we can send you an application, or you can find our online application here: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw Adoption fee $550.00CDN

Story
Hello everyone, I just updated my profile with videos playing with kids, cats and rabbit. Hi there! My name is PHOENIX (Happy) and here is some info about me:Breed: German ShepardAge: 3years (22/03/2021)Gender: female Weight: 66 lbsHeight: 22-1/2 inches I had been in a car accident and my leg was infected. Sadly, they could not save my leg. So now I am a tripaw. My rescuers are having an artificial leg made for me. Gentle and playful is what you will find with me. I still get around pretty good too. In fact, I am a fairly active pup. I get along well with dogs of all sizes, including small ones and even cats (I find them curious.) I find them amusing, but not necessarily all that interesting. I am smart & easily trainable, hey I'm a German Shepard, would you expect anything less? I'm a sweet girl with a faithful and loyal nature. I know you are ready for an awesome girl like me. Just waiting for your application. I'm good with kids, cats and even a rabbit. Health notes: I am a tripaw.I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped.  My adoption fee is $700.00 CAD + applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.  Due to ongoing limits on Vancouver flights yet, additional fees will apply if flying from another city. Unaccompanied Cargo costs within Canada: $275-$500 per dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. I will be on the first available flight, as I need to leave the Middle East as soon as possible. If a flight directly to Vancouver is not found quickly after I've found a family, the extra cost for cargo to Vancouver will not be optional.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. More information can be found on our website. *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordatella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.  ##1213054##
