You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out ! Talk about a Top Dog! Meet Rocky! Rocky is a Shepherd/Belgian mix, known for their intelligence and loyalty. This handsome young man is quite attractive with his black and tan coat and has a big ole main of a tail that is simply breathtaking! Rocky is an adult around a year or so who weighs about 60 lbs now, but is on the lean side for sure. Rocky is a big softie if we're being honest here. He might look the manly man but he loves people, is great with other dogs, and is eager to work and learn.  Rocky would love an active home and activities to help him continue to be fulfilled and find enrichment. He is a smarty pants, and being loyal absolutely goes without saying. Rocky has made friends with the other dogs and does well with them in his play groups. He's looking for his forever family willing to spend lots of time playing and working with him, to give him that sense of purpose he desires. Rocky just may be your  perfect match of a lifetime!   If you are interested in meeting Rocky please submit an application by clicking HERE.    Rocky's adoption fee of $450 covers his initial standard yearly vaccines, his neuter, his microchip and his first dose of flea and tick prevention.    Rocky is available for our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program.  We offer a 2-week adjustment period prior to finalizing the adoption to make sure he would be a good fit for the family.  We want to make sure everyone is happy. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.  If you would like to try a Foster to Adopt trial, please fill out an Adoption Application.  If you are only interested in temporarily Fostering one of our rescues, please fill out a Foster Application.   Meet Jade! Jade was adopted in January 2021 (fka Bells) to a family that has another alpha female dog in the home.  Unfortunately, despite their best efforts to provide extensive training to Jade, she remains reactive to other dogs and is not able to interact with their other female dog.  They are not able to play with both dogs at the same time, especially with a ball or another toy, which makes it difficult for them to provide the exercise she needs.  They do take her on walks, but they keep her on a short leash as recommended by the trainer.   We are posting Jade as a courtesy and we hope to find a foster family for her right away, while we attempt to find a perfect adopter for this gorgeous girl.  She will need a very experienced adopter, who is willing to provide additional professional training, in an attempt to correct her dog reactive behavior.  The last training session provided by her current family was a 2-week in-house session at the training facility and the trainer has recommended e-collar training going forward. Original rescue story: This adorable Shepherd blend was rescued from the streets of Tijuana by a San Diego family.  They soon realized they were NOT prepared for a dog, let alone a puppy, so they sought help from ARWOB.  Thankfully we had a foster family with space before the holidays and they were able to take her in. It is obvious she is a Shepherd mix, as she has characteristics both physically and behaviorally of a German Shepherd Dog — not very vocal, but a little whinny.  This is likely also because she is a young pup, who spent a lot of time in the yard alone, which is not great for any puppy let alone a Shepherd.  She is very social, loving, and “licky face” to people and dogs alike.  She is good with cats, but can be over the top playful, so she may get slapped in her tracks by the feline fosters. If you would like to adopt this adorable girl, please submit an application online at arwob.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application. Story
Named after the Spanish word for ‘beach’, Playa is a playful and sweet 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix who joined the Woof Gang after being surrendered by her previous owners after they realized they were unable to provide the adventurous life that she needs. She has completed a board and train previously with another local trainer in the San Diego area, but was having a hard time with a lack of structure and boundaries that she could understand at her previous home. Her training is top-notch, there isn’t anything this pup can’t do! She is reliable off-leash in the busiest of environments, sharp and precise in doing obedience as well as tricks, and could easily excel in any number of dog sports. Playa is a sweet pup, who will greet you with kisses and lean on you for scratches once she is comfortable with you… she loves to take nice, long walks or adventures with her handlers. She is currently being tested with other large breed dogs, and shows a fair amount of neutrality. She may be well-matched with a family who has an older dog to show her the ropes of fitting in, and an active family committed to upholding the immense amount of training that is being put into her by our trainers. Playa is available now, fostered out of San Diego, CA and would love to meet you! Please view Playa's available dog page on our website to learn more about our programs and apply to adopt her via the following links below: PLAYA: https://woofgangrehab.org/available_dog/playa/ APPLY: https://woofgangrehab.org/rescue/adoption-application/
