Story
Juju is a vibrant, affectionate two‑year‑old Belgian Malinois who brings energy and joy wherever he goes. For the past two years, he’s been a beloved member of our family—enjoying time with both adults and children—and his playful, spunky nature lights up every room. True to the breed, Juju is bright, highly trainable, and thrives with mental and physical engagement. He’s an “all‑in” kind of dog, so he needs an owner who can commit to consistent, daily training and companionship. Unfortunately, our brother recently relocated out of state, so we’re seeking a new, loving home for Juju—one with the time, dedication, and energy to support him in becoming the best dog he can be.

Lucy gets along with other dogs, cats and people..  She enjoys walks and the dog park, but is happy to be a couch potato with you!  She would do better in a home where she won't be alone for long periods of times because her family moved out and abandoned her when she was rescued.   Lucy will require house with a yard, no apartments or condos please.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2025, 6:52 pm

Story
The sweetest babe! Hi, I’m Lula! I’m a 4-year-old, 64-pound Belgian Malinois mix, and I will be spayed soon. I came from a family in Lakeside, CA, but sadly, they had to leave and could not take me due to life's circumstances. I am fully bathroom and crate trained and working on my leash manners. I was raised around cats, dogs, and kids, so I’m pretty familiar with family life. I take a little time to warm up to new dogs and people, but once I do, I’m super sweet and affectionate. I really love playing with my ball and tug toys, they’re my absolute favorites! I also love going for walks, car rides, and of course, snuggling with my humans. When I’m not playing or going on adventures, I’m all about being close to my people. I’m a great protector, and I’ll bark if I see or hear something new, but I can always be calmed down with some gentle words. I’m very sensitive, so I respond best to soft voices when it comes to directions and corrections. I’ve never had an accident in the house, and I haven’t destroyed anything — I’m a good girl like that! I’m super playful, smart, and eager to please, so I pick up new tricks quickly. I’m great with kids and calm dogs (after we have some time to get to know each other), and I really love people once we’ve had a proper introduction. I would do best with an active family or owner who can take me on hikes, long walks, or even teach me some dog agility. I’m a wonderful companion and I’m looking for a forever home where I can be the best dog I know how to be. If you think we can be furever together, let's meet! I know my old family would love that for me... My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##2305699##

Story
Meet Breckenridge, our beautiful, sweet mama to 7 pawfect little LUVs. Can you imagine living next to live railroad tracks or anywhere other than the safety of your home? Sadly, this is how Breckenridge and her 8 puppies started life. We believe Breckenridge is around 6 y/o and a purebred Malinois. In order to ensure she receives proper enrichment - physically, mentally, and emotionally, we are requiring adopters to have breed experience. If you don't have breed experience, please be as detailed as possible in your application to help us understand your related experience and/or how you believe you'll be able to provide her with a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life. After being notified about and asked to help a Malinois mama and her puppies, we quickly got to work with some amazing people, who were able to build trust and a relationship with the unhoused community where they were living. Thanks to them, Mama and her puppies - and now Dad - are safe with us. We promise that from here on out, their days will be filled with LUV, warmth, and happiness. All Mutt Luv Rescue pups receive a full health checkup, heartworm and parasite testing, are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and s/n before they're adopted. Ready to fall in LUV? Fill out an application to meet Breckenridge and your new family member!

Story
Meet Pumpkin: From Feral to Fabulous. When Pumpkin first arrived, she was a ghost of a dog—shut down, unsure, and utterly heartbroken. She was 9 months old when we saved her and her sister from a high-kill shelter in LA. They were the tiniest dogs we'd ever seen. They were like real-life stuffed animals. When Pumpkin first arrived, she was only 24 lbs at 9 months old! She was so shut down, avoiding eye contact for the fear of being noticed, and moved like a shadow, silent and scared. But even then, there was a spark in her eyes, a tiny ember of hope. Now, at ruffly 1 y/o, this Malinois mix who had only learned that the world was a scary place is now thriving in her foster home. With time, patience, and the gentle guidance of her foster fur siblings, Pumpkin is learning what it means to feel safe. She’s learning that hands can offer LUV, that voices can be kind, and that not all humans are to be feared. Her progress is nothing short of remarkable—day by day, step by step, she’s beginning to let LUV in. Pumpkin LUVS other dogs. They are her comfort zone. Her role models and her security blankets. A confident canine friend in her furever home will help her continue to blossom. She’s still shy with people, but give her time and space, and she’ll reward you with the most beautiful kind of loyalty and LUV. Pumpkin is ready for a family who sees past her ruff beginning and into the heart of a survivor. Someone who will celebrate the little wins: the first tail wag, the first nuzzle, the first moment she chooses you. She’s not just learning to live. She’s learning to trust. And that makes her story one of the most beautiful we’ve ever told. Pumpkin is looking for a forever home with: Another friendly dog (or dogs) to show her the ropes A calm, patient environment A family that believes in second chances This is Pumpkin’s redemption story. Want to help her write the next chapter? Fill out an application to meet Pumpkin and your new furever LUV!
