Blu did not pass police dog training because he liked to cuddle too much. Blu has passed basic obedience training. He’ll need a strong handler who understands this breed. We adopted him and quickly loved his high energy and really smart/witty mentality. He’s been around another bigger dog throughout the time and loves playing with him. I’m a sweet, fun-loving, and affectionate boy in great health, and I’ve already been neutered. I absolutely love staying active – whether it’s going for walks, runs, hikes, or playing a good game of tag. I usually get along well with most dogs I meet, though I haven’t had much experience around cats yet. I’d also do best in a home without kiddos. As far as my training is concerned, I’m fully potty trained and walk nicely on a leash. I’m crate-trained, too, but tend to howl a bit in the mornings when I’m ready to start my day. I can be a little unsure when new people approach too quickly, so I’d love someone who can help advocate for me and give me time to feel comfortable in new situations. I would thrive in an active home where I can have a daily “job,” continue my training, and stay mentally and physically engaged. A doggie sibling would be great, but I’d also be perfectly happy being your one and only. While I don’t have any separation anxiety and do fine on my own, I’d love someone who’s home most of the time to keep me company. In return, I promise to be your most loyal and loving companion!
