Story
🐾 Meet Coyote! 🐾 Coyote is a handsome Shepherd/Malinois mix, around 2 years old, and full of personality and drive. This smart boy is great with kids and does well with other larger dogs, though he does best with slow, proper introductions. Because Coyote loves to play hard, he should not be left alone with small dogs, and he is not cat-friendly. He’s an active, fun-loving guy who thrives with structure and guidance. Coyote knows some basic commands, is good on leash, and is both house trained and crate trained. He absolutely loves his toys and is very treat motivated, making him a great candidate for continued training. 🎾 Coyote’s adoption fee includes: ✔️ Neutered ✔️ Rabies vaccinated ✔️ Up to date on all vaccines ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Dewormed ✔️ Flea & tick treated Coyote is looking for a confident, active home that will continue to help him shine. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and smart companion, Coyote may be your guy! 🐶💙

Story
Corporal — Belgian MalinoisCorporal is the kind of dog you meet once and don’t forget. At just two years old, this stunning Belgian Malinois has an exceptional temperament, an impressive foundation of training, and a genuine love for his people.Corporal is potty trained, knows his basic commands, and is incredibly attentive to his handler. He is extremely food motivated and highly trainable, making him an absolute joy to work with. He appears to have already received a great deal of training, and he is eager to learn even more. On leash, he is phenomenal—focused, responsive, and often walking in what is nearly a perfect heel.More than anything, Corporal simply wants to be with people. Once he is out of his kennel and spending time with his humans, he is an absolute dream. Like many working-breed dogs, confinement is particularly difficult for him, and the shelter environment is extremely stressful. But give him the opportunity to work, engage, and be around his people, and you get to see the incredible dog he truly is.Corporal is athletic and energetic without being overwhelming. He has a wonderful ability to capture calm and settle when given the opportunity. He would thrive with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a dog who is not only beautiful and athletic, but deeply connected and eager to work alongside them.Corporal originally came to El Dorado County Animal Services from Calaveras County, where they needed to make space during the Gann Fire. Unfortunately, much of his history is unknown. He can be dog reactive, but when his handler is actively working with him, he is very capable of remaining neutral and focusing on his person. Because of this, we believe he would be best suited as the only dog in the home. This is a very special Malinois. Corporal is attentive, biddable, affectionate, athletic, incredibly well-trained, and completely devoted to his people. He has all the makings of an extraordinary working or companion partner for the right person.Corporal is a once-in-a-lifetime Malinois—and we truly believe he is destined to be somebody’s heart dog.August 16, 2026, 12:22 am

Story
Hi there!  I'm Zander, a 4 year old Belgian Malinois mix, a big boy with a big sensitive heart.  I'lll be honest with you:  I am an 85lb. emotional guy who can be a bit moody when I'm overwhelmed.  Because of my size and my deep feelings, I need a quiet home and a family who will give me plenty of time to settle in at my own pace.  Once I feel secure and settled, I promise to be your ultimate best friend and most loyal protector. I am highly trained and aced my obedience commands,  so I'm a dream to handle for an experienced owner. I prefer a calm, predictable environment and like to keep all your attention to myself, but I do get along with other dogs. An easy going female would be the best fit.  I need a home with no small animals, or children.   If you have a peacefull home and room for a gentle giant and  devoted companion, let's take things slow and build something amazing together. I am neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm negative and and microchipped. Minimum adoption donation: $400.00     Please visit our website at www.edcgsr.com to fill out an application for this dog. ##2785493##

Meet Zeus! A 4 year old Belgian Malinois mix, Zeus is an active guy who loves his people. He knows lots of tricks and loves to play ball. He's food motivated and gets along with other dogs. He's a great guy, but the shelter stresses him out so he's currently in foster off campus. His fosters report that overall, Zeus is doing very well. He is potty trained, crate trained, and does great with our 5-year-old daughter. He loves attention, enjoys cuddling, and is happiest when he’s getting lots of pets and affection. Story
Hello, we have a German Shepherd/Malinois mix. She is five years old, has had some Training and knows English and some German commands. She gets along well with other pets, and people and she loves the water, camping and the beach. Unfortunately, our lives have changed since having her, our kids have moved out of state , and we travel a lot more than we did 5 years ago. However, the biggest change is we are going to be moving and going back-and-forth from our condo in Mexico to the States and are unable to bring her with us. At times Mexico has had restrictions on bringing dogs back into the states so we just can’t chance it. We are hoping to find her a great home that has ample space for her to run and play ( we have a small backyard with no grass) and to have family to continue to love her as much as we do, if not more. It's not the easiest decision, but it is one that we have to make. So we are looking for options. Rick & Jill (xxx) xxx-xxxx

Story
His Favorite Place Is Beside YouMeet Kix—a three-year-old Belgian Malinois with a heart as gentle as they come.Kix may have a quirky way of getting around due a mild deformity in his hind legs that give him an uneven gait, but it doesn`t seem to slow his spirit down. His quaint gait isn`t painful, and what matters most to Kix is being close to his people.Give him a little affection and he`ll happily lean right into you, soaking up every pet and quietly asking for more. Toys are nice—he enjoyed playing with a few—but honestly, people are his favorite thing. Kix loves everyone he meets, male or female, and has a wonderfully sweet, affectionate nature. There`s something especially endearing about this boy. He doesn`t need to be the fastest dog in the room or conquer every adventure. He`s perfectly happy being your gentle companion, leaning against your side and reminding you that sometimes the best thing a dog can give you is simply his heart. If you`re looking for a loving, people-focused best friend who would rather cuddle than show off, Kix is ready to lean his way into your heart. Kix has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  He`s also sharing his shelter suite with a friend he came to the shelter with. Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
