It's hard to get rid of my boy but my work schedule has changed. Gusto who just turned 3 is a Malinois Shepherd mixed. He has the body size of a Shepherd 100lbs but everything else is Malinois. He's extremely smart and protective once he's comfortable at home. He has great recall when off the leash and is 100% house and crate trained. He has the prey drive of a typical working Malinois with a great off switch once in the house. That's what made having him so peaceful. Once he's at home,he will lay around with you until it's time for his walk. He's ok with other dogs as long as they don't get out of line. He will smell them and then go about his business. We got Zuko a year ago when he was just two months old. I care for my three young grandsons (after the passing of my daughter/their mother) and thought it would be a good gift. My 85 year old mother lives with us and she has asthma and COPD so is actually allergic to him. He sheds alot and the boys don’t keep up with brushing him. He’s a sweet dog and listens when it’s quiet. When it’s noisy and lots of other people around he gets excited and doesn’t listen as much. Overall we are sad to have to give him away. We would love for him to find a loving home. He goes out every 4 hours (4 times a day) and eats twice a day with two snacks (usually apples, sweet potatoes or a dog biscuit).
