Story
Although it will break all the pieces of my heart, we have to rehome Banshee our black GSD. The reason isn't for anything she has done, but she is far too high energy and my wife with her PTSD has reacted poorly to her frenetic pace over the last two years. Adding to that, she has never quite gotten accustomed to our cats, who she stalks constantly. With my wife worrying about all of these, it has been unhealthy for her and it isn't fair to our other dogs (2) and various cats (6) who have essentially been banished to side rooms that we can make safe for them. Our wish is that Banshee simply go to a good home with kind people who don't have cats. Ideally people who are young and active enough to keep her engaged and direct some of her boundless energy towards more positive outlets. She is sweet around people, but her default position around unknown dogs is to assert dominance and there have been a few disagreements with her brother dogs.

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 December 5, 2025, 9:57 am

Story
Kyra (pronounced Key-rah) is a very high energy dog and needs a lot of exercise. She is a very good girl but unfortunately we are not able to keep her anymore. She loves her ball and treats. She’s crate trained and house trained. She is very well behaved when left in the house alone. She is also comfortable being locked in her cage or left to roam free. She does get along with other dogs but needs to be introduced slowly and watched. She has met my daughters cats but was never left unattended with them or actually got to interact the cats, she was interested in playing with them. She will be the alpha if you are not. We do have to watch her around human food because she will take it if she can. She is spayed and up to date on her shots and when she trusts you, you can easily attend to any boo-boos she gets.

Story
Junie is an incrediblely sweet 6 year-old German Shepherd mix. She’s house and crate trained. She loves everyone she meets. Her favorite things are playing with her gator, chasing a ball and watching TV. She is a very happy, goofy girl. She does well with other dogs but would be just as happy to be your one and only. She weighs aprox 55 lbs.  ##2275097##
