Although Meili may be shy initially when meeting strangers, she continues to make great progress especially when it is done calmly and slowly. This brindle beauty is eight years young and loves taking walks in quiet places without lots of activity and commotion. Although she walks well on leash, it is suggested to use a harness which gives her added security and also helps the handler with any potential pulling. Meili is not interested in playing with dogs, but does fine walking with other mellow dogs and has participated successfully in a six week agility session with other leashed dogs. She adores car rides and soft music and would make a great travel companion. She is very food motivated and has been learning the “wait” command as she anticipates that special treat. Once she trusts you, she will be a faithful companion and will enjoy being close and lying by your side. She loves to watch you with her soulful eyes and the tip of her tail moves joyously when you speak to her. Meet Cookie, a true sweetheart! She is a 2yro Dutch Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix looking for her forever family. Cookie has a neutral temperament and is well mannered at home and when out on adventures; she walks well on leash, is crate trained, potty trained and knows basic commands. Cookie does well with women, children and dogs- she makes an amazing playmate! She can be aloof towards unfamiliar men, but does live comfortably with her Foster-Dad and previous male-owner who surrendered her before moving away. Cookie is healthy, spayed, and up to date on vaccines and vetting. Cookie will need a committed owner who will meet her high energy needs and reinforce training- ensuring play time, long walks, and occasional adventures. Hi! I’m Indy- short for independence. PLAY! K9 Rescue saved my life in the beginning of early July. I thought my fosters might keep me but I don’t along well with one of my foster female dogs. I’m so spunky and spirited. My foster has been doing disc work with me and I’m catching on very well. Due to having a rough early life, Ms. Indy will require lifelong meds to support her pancreas. These medications are fairly inexpensive and can be found through online pharmacies for a discounted price. PancreVed (or similar) is a pancreatic enzyme given before meals to help support proper digestion of fats, proteins, and carbs.
