Story
I pulled Sunny over a year ago from a high kill shelter in SoCal. He was with me for a short time before he was fostered for 6 months. He’s now back with me, as he reportedly does not seem to like small children. Sunny is also very prey driven. Therefore, he CANNOT be in a home with small pets of any kind. Sunny is a very intelligent, playful, sweet boy who loves to be with his people. He will do best in a very active home that will keep up with his training and exercise needs. I will not entertain applications for homes that are not extremely active or do not have high energy breed experience. Info on Sunny: 2 yo neutered male UTD on shots Good with older kids Great in the car Housebroken and crate trained Very intelligent and willing to learn Transport can be arranged for the right home.

Story
👑TT(F), Belgian Malinois/mix, ~6 months👑 🦾TT is a pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. The only girl in her litter, TT has taken on the role of the boss—and she wears it well! ⚡️Independent, smart, and confident, she’s always a few steps ahead of her brothers (and probably you, too). But don’t let her boldness fool you—TT also has a sweet and gentle side and is learning that it’s safe to lean into love.🫶🏻 💔TT and her three brothers were found abandoned in a ditch, and while her start in life was rough, she’s ready for a fresh chapter. 🩷She’ll need a patient, understanding home that can guide her as she figures out what it means to be a beloved family member. Like any pup, TT is still learning the ropes—house manners, training, and all the good stuff that comes with being someone’s best friend. 🦴 🎾 🏡If you’re looking for a strong, spirited, and sweet pup to grow with, TT might just be your girl. http://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TIP-A-367

Story
Meet Opie!! Meet Opie! He was an owner who surrendered to a local shelter and needed rescue only because the stress of the shelter got to him. Opie is 4 yrs-old GS Malinois Dutch shepherd mix. Sadly he's lived a very confined neglected isolated sheltered life. In other words, he had lazy 💩 owners. As of 11/4, Opie is a sweet, gentle giant but reserved and timid. We have learned that allowing him to approach you on his time is best. 12/22 He loves his people once his trust is gained. Which takes 0 time and effort on the human part. 2/10 Everyone he has meets he has done awesome with. He is willing to try but does needs encouragement. He strives for guidance and needs consistency, routine, and simple daily exercise as well as structured discipline. He is a simple dog always wanting to please. But his confidence cannot be rushed instead when meeting any new folks he needs people to ignore him as if he's not present, do not approach, touch, talk to him or make eye contact and this alone makes meeting anyone easy and possible. 2/17 Opie thrives with companionship and desires physical and verbal acknowledgment from his people. He wants to belong and be part of his people every day life. No reactivity toward cats, or dogs, nor does he have any resource-guarding behaviors. He however is a follower and he needs constant guidance. Opie is good on a leash, still needs work but it's manageable. Very food and praise/affection motivated. 1/22 Opie is currently ongoing heartworm treatment and doing well. Opie is a dog that requires more than basic dog knowledge. He needs leadership and guidance and someone confident and in control at all times. To be continued: Opie is house and crate trained, neuteted, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, corona, 3-year rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Opie like every AHS dog comes with our lifetime support. Updated: 2/26/2023 We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets. 🐕 Brent is a puppy with a heart full of love and a naturally loyal spirit. He’s the kind of pup who will happily curl up next to you one minute and stand tall by your side the next. Sweet-natured and attentive, Brent is already showing signs of the faithful companion he’s meant to be. 💙 💔Like his siblings, Brent had a tough start to life—found abandoned in a ditch—but he’s learning quickly what it means to be safe and cared for. He’ll need a patient, loving home to help guide him as he grows into the confident, well-rounded dog he’s meant to be.📚 🎾Brent is still a typical puppy in many ways—full of energy, curiosity, and needing help with the basics like training and routine—but his affectionate nature and natural instincts make him a truly special boy. If you’re looking for a pup who’s as sweet as he is watchful, Brent might just be your perfect match. 🏡 http://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TIP-A-366

Story
🩵🎧G Unit(M), Belgian Malinois/Mix, 4 years🎧🩵 🛡️🎖️G Unit isn’t just a name — it’s a badge of honor. This resilient soul was found locked in a storage unit, abandoned and starving, clinging to life. 😡When rescuers found him, he was barely hanging on, given a heartbreaking 0/9 on the Body Condition Score. He had no food, no water, and no one — but he never gave up.❤️‍🩹 📝Now, G Unit is writing a new chapter. With each meal, each kind touch, and every tail wag, he’s showing us the power of hope. 🕊️At the shelter, he’s quickly become a favorite. Sweet, affectionate, and endlessly loving, G Unit greets everyone like an old friend. Despite the cruelty he endured, his trust in humans is unshaken. He doesn’t just want to survive — he wants to live, love, and be someone’s loyal companion. 🐕🌟 ⏳G Unit is ready for a forever home where he’ll never be forgotten, never be hungry, and always be loved. He’s not just looking for a second chance — he’s offering one, too. 🏡 Are you the hero this hero’s been waiting for? http://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TIP-A-357

Story
Hi, my name is Carl and I'm looking for my very own adventure buddy! I am approximately 5-6 month old and they call me a Shepherd mix. I am a sweet, active boy who loves my people and being goofy. I am learning basic commands, crate and house training in my foster home. My foster mom says I am highly intelligent with maybe a touch of ADHD. :) I love playing with other dogs, but I can be a bit protective of my favorite toys and food. I love all people, but may bit to much for smaller humans. Since I'm so energetic, I would love to meet a family who can keep me active, burn off all my energy, and teach me new things. My foster mom says I would make a wonderful hiking partner. I need a 6 ft. fence or to be 100% watched at all times outside as I can jump high and fences are no match for me! :) *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Story
Benny is approximately one year old and already knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and stay. PLUS he's already crate trained! :) His fosters say he is a TOTAL snuggle bug and loves attention. He does very well with his foster brother Winston and loves to wrestle and go on walks. Benny is a BIG fan of all things chew toys and loves chewing on bones. He is high energy and can sometimes get mouthy when he's playing. But even so, Benny currently lives with a baby human and he is gentle and sweet, just watching and doing his best to play along. You couldn't ask for a better friend. Benny was found as a stray a few weeks ago and his finders decided to foster him. His family never came to claim him so we're hoping his next home is FOREVER. Could you be the right family for Benny? *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Meet Marvin – Your Future Best Friend! ? Say hello to Marvin, an adorable German Shepherd puppy with a big heart and even bigger ears!
