Story
Hi! So excited to meet you! My name is Coop and I am 9 months young. My foster mom says I am the softest, most handsome brindle ever. I also love to snuggle and am a super traveler and great on car rides. I'm awesome on a leash and love my walks - I'm even learning to stop and sit at intersections before crossing. I know basic commands and even shake! I love to wrestle other dogs, then cuddle up on the couch. Please consider making me a wonderful addition to your family. Coop is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and microchipped. Adoption fee $250.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   April 18, 2024, 10:24 pm

Story
Meet Tony, a 10-month old possible Belgian malinois/Lab mix. Tony weighs anround 50 pounds. He and his liter mates are from a rural county in KY, and in December they were all surrendered to the shelter. We were fortunate to get Tony. His foster Mom says he is an amazing boy, and she is very familiar with the breed so knows a good one when she sees it. Tony was understandably very scared on the trip to Cinn, but rode great in the crate with no crying or whining. When he was taken to the vet a week later he was just tethered, and behaved very well in the car and at the vet. He walks very well on a leash. His foster home has a GSD and 2 pug mixes. All he wants to do is play with them, but sadly they are seniors so prefer to sleep most of the time. He has absolutely no aggression, and learns quickly. He has quickly learned sit, come and shake paw. He is not even crated at night. He loves toys, and will pull all out all of the toy basket. He is also a very affectionate boy; loving attention from his people, and loves to cuddle on the couch, but we are teaching the word off and he is responding. To adopt Tony we are looking for a home with another dog who likes to play; but best would be a dog closer to his size as some small dogs may not appreciate his playfulness. A home where his family wants to work with him would be good. A fenced-in back yard is also required as he does like to run. Tony is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.

Life happens fast, if you don't stop every once in a while and look around, you might miss it! I came to GDR with my siblings and Mama, who are all adopted now yaaay, and now I'm waiting for it to be my turn to be adopted! Dodger is a happy and excited boy who loves to wag his tail and makes lots of noise, just like his sister! He has a ton of energy to spare and wants to use it running around, playing fetch, or going on long walks. He'll need lots of activity and would be great with another active dog and active kids :) Dodger is a very sweet and polite boy also who loves to cuddle on the couch or bed, or sit down right next to you. Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Hello ! I am MVP Miner and I was found wandering an Eastern Kentucky holler. Thankfully I was found by a nice family who wanted a better life for me - MVPC came to my rescue. I am a Shepherd - Pittie Mix (DNA Test). I am friendly, smart & loving. We have been working on crate & potty training. I still have an occasional accident but, am learning quickly. I can be vocal (Shepherd) but can be corrected. I love to play with my doggie friends. I don’t live with a cat but, do tolerate the old chihuahua at my foster home. I would make a great addition to any shepherd loving family!! Please understand that while I am doing well on potty and crate training, I will have accidents and may whine some as I adjust to my new schedule and family. Story
My name is Amory. Me and my boyfriend, Ansel were rescued from a breeding operation where we were found neglected, used for profit and then forgotten about. Miami Valley Pit Crew heard about us when one of their shelter partners reached out for help. They loved us so much they decided to bring us in until the most perfect home could be found. I am a stunning lady, but don’t let my looks full you, I love to get down and dirty look any good GSD does. My favorite pastime is keeping Ansel in line. I keep my crate clean and dry, and as long as I’m kept on a schedule, won’t have any accidents in my home. I would love an active family with a big yard to patrol. While I love Ansel very much, I can be placed either with him, or alone. ADOPTION FEE: $350 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes!
