QUICK FACTS Name: Sonny Age: About 6 Months Old Gender: Male (Neutering Scheduled) Breed: Malinois – Jindo Mix Color: Brown with Black muzzle Weight: 7kg / 15.4lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I came from the city shelter, where I was placed on a list I couldn’t understand. The shelter felt loud and uncertain, and each day passed quietly as I waited. Then someone chose to give me a chance before it was too late. Because of that moment, my life began to change in the gentlest way. Now I’m safe, learning to trust, and discovering comfort little by little. I may have come from a difficult beginning, but I’m ready for a softer and brighter future ahead.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutering Scheduled & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Sonny. I grew up in a shelter from a very young age, so the world outside still feels a little new to me sometimes. When I arrive somewhere unfamiliar, I may need a few quiet minutes in my kennel to look around and take everything in. But once I realize I’m safe, my bright and playful personality starts to shine through. I’m a sweet, cheerful little dog who loves people and enjoys following my humans around just to stay close. I also get along wonderfully with other dogs, and having friendly company around helps me feel even more comfortable. Treats are definitely one of the fastest ways to win me over, and they help me build confidence quickly in new situations. If you’re looking for a small, loving companion who blossoms beautifully once he feels safe, I’d love to slowly but surely become part of your everyday life.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but I’m happy to accept treats and slowly build trust at my own pace. Once I feel more comfortable, I allow gentle touch and begin to show my softer, affectionate side. I’m also comfortable being picked up, which helps me feel safe and cared for. I haven’t had the chance to meet young children yet, so I may simply need a little patience and guidance as I experience something new. · With Dogs: I’m a naturally social pup who loves meeting other dogs—I’ll happily walk up, say hello, and invite them to play. Making new friends comes easily to me, and I approach other dogs with a bright, friendly energy that helps everyone feel comfortable. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors and taking in the world around me, then relaxing quietly once I’ve had my fun. Since I’m still gaining experience on walks, unfamiliar things can sometimes make me pause and lower myself for reassurance. With gentle encouragement and patience, I’m able to settle and grow more confident little by little.   TRAINING & HABITS I have a gentle, easygoing nature and feel comfortable sharing my space, even around food. I’ll sometimes use my voice to let you know when I want something. I settle calmly and do well in a kennel. I’m adaptable with my routine, comfortably using both indoor pads and outdoor bathroom breaks depending on the situation.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES There are still many things I’m learning, especially when it comes to exploring unfamiliar environments and practicing walks, but I’m gentle, eager, and very open to guidance. With patience and encouragement, I continue to grow more confident every day.    SONNY'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2732145##

Story
Lyra’s journey may have started in uncertainty, arriving at the shelter with her mom and littermates, but everything about her points toward a bright, exciting future. This fluffy, one-of-a-kind pup—born to a Malinois mom with a mystery mix of breeds—brings together intelligence, charm, and a spark for learning that’s hard to miss. Lyra is a confident and social puppy who genuinely enjoys being around people. She seeks out affection, thrives on interaction, and already shows an impressive ability to focus once she feels comfortable. What really sets Lyra apart is her eagerness to learn. She’s highly motivated by both food and toys, making training not only effective but fun. Whether it’s basic manners, obedience classes, or even future dog sports, Lyra has the drive and enthusiasm to excel. She’s the kind of dog who will love having a “job” and a person to work alongside. She’s also wonderfully affectionate and easy to handle, taking new experiences in stride when she feels secure. That said, like any young puppy stepping into the world for the first time, Lyra may feel a little unsure in new environments. Busy streets, unfamiliar faces, and big changes can be overwhelming at first, so she’ll need a patient family committed to helping her build confidence through calm, positive experiences. Lyra will need all the usual puppy basics—house training, crate training, and guidance as she learns the rhythms of home life. The first few weeks will be an adjustment, with nighttime potty breaks and lots of new experiences, but with consistency and care, she’ll quickly start to settle in and let her playful, curious personality shine. As she grows, Lyra will benefit from a lifestyle that balances physical exercise with mental enrichment. Her intelligence and energy mean she’ll do best in a home that can keep her engaged, challenged, and included in daily activities. Lyra is a joyful, affectionate, and driven young pup who is ready to form a deep bond with her people. For an active, patient family willing to invest time in training and socialization, she’ll be more than just a pet—she’ll be a loyal partner, a playful companion, and a constant source of pride and love. Please complete an adoption application: https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/animals-pets/adopt-or-foster-pet/adoptions Lyra is too young to have certain procedures done, including a spay. Her adopters must be willing to return her for this surgery, which is included in the adoption fee. Animal adoptions and viewing are by appointment only. This allows our Adoption Staff to spend quality time with each potential home to ensure the most successful matches are made between the animals and their new families. *Please note: we only adopt within Ontario

Story
Another bright star from our constellation-themed litter of seven, Dorado is ready to chart a course straight into your heart. He came into the shelter with his mom (a Malinois mix) and his littermates. With a mix of looks across the litter — some bully-type, some boxer-like, even a few fluffier siblings, Dorado brings his own unique style to this cosmic crew. At just 2 months old, Dorado is already a confident, go-all-in kind of puppy. He isn’t afraid of anything and lives life at full speed — running, rumbling, and playing hard before happily seeking out affection and attention from his people. He’s outgoing, stable during handling, and thrives on interaction, making him a fun and engaging companion for someone ready to keep up with him. Dorado is both food motivated and toy motivated, which is a dream combination for training. Whether you’re working with treats or a favorite tug toy, he’s eager to learn and ready to engage. With consistency and positive reinforcement, he has excellent potential to grow into a well-trained and responsive adult. That said, Dorado is not a low-maintenance puppy. With his Malinois mix background, adopters should expect a smart, driven, and energetic dog who will need: Daily physical exercise (not just a quick walk!) Mental enrichment like training sessions, puzzle toys, and structured play Clear structure, boundaries, and consistent expectations Early and ongoing socialization in a controlled, positive way He will do best with a confident handler who can be firm but fair, guiding him with patience and consistency while channeling his energy into appropriate outlets. Like all puppies, Dorado will also need help navigating the basics of growing up: House training and crate training will take time and routine Teething means lots of chewing—he’ll need proper outlets Puppy manners (like no jumping or nipping) will need to be taught Ongoing training is essential, especially for a strong, intelligent dog Dorado is looking for an active, patient family that understands the commitment of raising a puppy—especially one who will likely grow into a larger, powerful dog with working-breed traits. Experience with high-energy or working breeds is a bonus, but dedication to training and enrichment is a must. In return, you’ll get a loyal, playful, and driven companion who will bring energy, fun, and endless personality into your life . If you’re ready to match his pace and help guide him to become his best self, Dorado is ready to be your adventure partner. Please complete an adoption application: https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/animals-pets/adopt-or-foster-pet/adoptions Dorado is too young to have certain procedures done, including a neuter. Smart, Observant & ActiveElmer is a young, inquisitive and active dog. The kind of dog who - with patience and guidance - is destined to shine even more than he already does! BIO: - Malinois mix, 1.5 years, Male (neutered)- Medium-sized (55 lb), Medium-energy- Elmer has grown up in the safety of a rescue organization in Antigua after his Mother was taken in- Elmer is house-trained, microchipped and has his core vaccinationsABOUT ELMER: - Elmer enjoys having a job to do, whether it’s exploring the backyard, going for walks or engaging in enrichment games, he’s always up for using his smarts- He’s also up for just being independent or chilling beside you - sometimes he thinks he’s a lap dog! Mostly he loves his pets and will lean in for more- Elmer would benefit from training on leash manners, he already checks in with his handler often on a walk. He is strong and will pull when something grabs his attention.- As a young dog, naturally he is still a little bit shy in unfamiliar surroundings- Elmer loves a car ride- Given his love of people, he is still learning not to ‘hug’ (a.k.a. jump up) in excitement when greeting youELMER’S IDEAL HOME:- Elmer enjoys spending time outdoors and would benefit from a household that will give him regular walks and plenty of time outside or in the backyard - He needs a family that will give him time to settle at his own pace for his confidence to grow- Elmer has not been vocal in the shelter so may good in a shared wall situation - He would do better with older children until he learns not to jump, positive reinforcement training will help with thisElmer is searching for his forever home and yours just might be the home that he is looking for!If you have any questions about Elmer contact his Adoption Coordinator at: jenc.ehs@gmail.com
