Story
Meet Violet! 🐾Violet is a spunky 1-year-old Malinois/Shepherd mix currently living in New Hampshire. Her litter was sadly dumped on the streets shortly after being born in mid-September, and she came into care on December 21, 2024. Now a healthy, happy 44-pound girl, Violet has recently been spayed (October 27, 2025) and is up to date on her 3-year rabies vaccine.Violet loves to play, whether on her own or with other dogs, and would likely thrive in a home with male dogs only. She may do best in a home without small children, as she doesn’t have experience with them yet. She has some basic training but will need a patient adopter to continue teaching her. This sweet girl is also a big snuggler and enjoys spending time outside whenever she can. She's a great traveler in cars so would be an amazing partner if you like to go to go to fun places to hike! The Malinois breeds are not for everyone - even mix breedsTemperament & Behavior: • Intelligent & trainable: Learns quickly and thrives on challenges. • High energy: Needs 1–2+ hours of daily exercise. • Loyal & protective: Forms strong bonds with family. • Sensitive: Responds best to gentle guidance. • Strong prey drive: May chase moving objects, including other animals. • Social: Early socialization is key to confidence and calm.Name: VioletBreed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 1 year (estimated)Weight45 lbs : Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Youngins’ make her nervous! Story
Hello world. Our names are Demi (F) and Russell (M). We are barely over a year, nearly did not survive as younger pups, and then given the gift of love and kindness. So, here we are today. Our mom did not survive the cruel owner. But dad was his pride and joy, a large Belgian Malinois. Our owner did not care if we lived or died. At one point our littermates were coming down with parvo. This person did not care that our littermates were suffering. This very kind lady was persistent (all 5 feet tall). She came day after day until one day she told them she wasn't going to stand by and let us die too. Demi had all but given up. She was too weak to walk. The owner surrendering them loaded us up in her minivan. After a lot of TLC (tender loving care), medicine, and time, we came back to life. Today (08/13/2024), we do not slow down for pictures. We slow down enough for treats, dinner, and getting into our playard. We love all sizes of other dogs, we have been exposed to cats but have too much energy and love of life to say we are cat social. We love people, sort of leash trained, crate trained and for the most part house trained. We do get in a whole lot of playing and forget to go to the door. Our ideal home is active. Older children would be good. Have time to make us a part of your family. We want to please you. We are not a bonded pair. We would do great with or without another dog as company. Please request an application alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. Once you have received your application please fill out in full including your references email addresses. Next step is to submit your deposit to reserve me for your adoption.  See you soon Demi Female Spayed Breed Belgian Malinois mix Color Black and White Age 17 months old (As of 08/13/2024) Weight 49lbs Great with people, older children, dogs Adoption donation $525 Carlton Rescue- Operation Puppy Love 501c(3) (Like us on Facebook)

This young man is a perfect representation of the Belgian Malinois breed, powerful, extremely intelligent, great instincts, thrives on training and of course is an absolute love sponge! Klaus is 18-20 months old, will weigh in between 70-80 pounds when grown, classic smooth coat, perfect gait, perfect symmetry, super open, extremely confident and loves playing with other dogs and of course kids! This guy is a riot to be around, loves to play, loves to hang out, is completely satisfied just being with his person or persons. During our training and socialization and training programs “Sir Klaus” revealed that he is highly motivated to bond, thoroughly enamored with training, an open and friendly demeanor, super social skills with both dogs and people, analytical skills that are off the charts and of course a strong but in control protective instinct. As the trainer for Klaus, I can tell you that he has few if any limitations, his level of performance is directly dependent on the quality of his new owners input of time, training and unconditional love.

Story
Moose is a big, goofy sweetheart looking for his forever family! He’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly — he loves fetch, tug, puzzle toys, car rides, and being part of whatever you’re doing. When it’s time to relax, he’s a total snuggle buddy. He’s incredibly smart and already knows sit, down, paw, touch, stay, and wait. He’s food-motivated, house-trained, and a fast learner. Moose walks nicely on leash but can be a little nervous around cars or other dogs. Since he’s still in his “teenage phase,” he’ll do best with someone experienced with active working breeds who can give him structure and continued training. ⭐️ Training Support A generous donor is offering $500 toward a professional training package for Moose’s future adopter to help set him up for success. If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy who makes you laugh and loves to cuddle, Moose is your guy.

Story
Bailey Robinson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Bailey is a special lady that will slowly and quietly work her way into your heart. Having spent most of her first year living outside with minimal human interaction she is slowly learning that being inside is pretty nice and humans can be too! She needs at least one other dog and a fenced yard. She extremely shy and skittish (flight risk at first), but will open once she builds trust and feels safe, but it will take time. Bailey loves to eat and is extremely food motivated, the quickest way to her heart is peanut butter and freeze dried liver, but really any treat will do-even apples. Once she trusts you she will come to you for pets and love. She needs a very patient adopter willing to give her the time to adjust and trust, but it is well worth it. She is incredibly sweet. She will benefit from professional training to help her continue to make progress. Teens and older only, busy kids are too much for her. She'd also prefer a quieter household while she settles in, too many visitors make her nervous. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. Story
Jazzy Dean is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Sweet, Spunky, and Full of Life. Jazzy prefers off leash play with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard. Jazzy is always up for an adventure, especially car rides. Jazzy is a petite Shepherd mix who lives by the motto play hard, love harder. She’s crazy about respectful kids, dogs, toys, and belly rubs & she’s got the cutest little widow’s peak to top it all off. At the end of the day Jazzy is happy crashing on the couch with her favorite people after a day of play. Jazzy’s a wild hearted snuggle bug who brings the party and the cuddles. Story
Foster Salty Belzoni Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Foster loves playing with his toys and relaxing outdoors. He is great on leash and stays right by your side, though he will want to chase small critters. Foster prefers to be the only pet in a calm adult home with grown children, as he does not like to share, especially his food. New places and car rides can make him anxious, but once he settles in he enjoys adventures. At the end of the day he is a big cuddler who wants to be close and keep his people safe.
