Story
Meet Leeza! Leeza is housetrained, knows her basic commands, and is a very smart and motivated girl. She is, not surprisingly for her breed, extremely intelligent. Leeza's work ethic is unmatched. She is very motivated and is capable of learning commands, routines, and tasks faster than most breeds. Leeza will require a lot of activity and exercise, but physically and mentally. She loves car rides and the great outdoors. She likes to play with both squeaky toys and puzzles. If you throw a ball for her she loves to chase it! Leeza is clearly a very devoted girl but unfortunately she has not had much socialization in her short life. She does seem very eager to get to know people and other animals. She is clearly looking for her person(s) to love deeply and be fiercely loyal to. If you would like more information on Leeza, please contact Michelle at michelled@doubledogrescue.org.

Story
Meet Peaches!Sweet little Peaches is a sweet puppy with a big personality packed into a tiny puppy body! Her dad is half malinois and he is about 50 lbs and mom is a beautiful pocket size pitt at only 30 lbs. Peaches was the runt of the liter and expected to remain on the smaller side. She loves her people and a active playmate would be great. She has lots of energy that she needs to let out and someone to share that with or a doggie daycare would be a plus for her and you. She happily shares her living space with her canine foster siblings, including a GSD, Great Dane mix, and two Beagles. She has not been cat tested. She also has not been around small children, seeing she is a puppy we feel she will be fine but we suggest children over 5.Peaches is already crate trained and settles nicely in her crate. She’s still a baby, so house training, leash skills, car rides, and basic manners are all works in progress—but she’s ready to learn! Puppy classes are strongly recommended to build confidence and bonding with her people. If she is the only dog in the home the training will help with her socialization also which is very important at her age. With Malinois as one of her breeds, Peaches will need a family who enjoys training and is ready to keep her busy both mentally and physically. In return, this sweet girl promises plenty of adventures in the years to come. And yes, she absolutely loves peaches—which is how this adorable little girl got her name! All known information about the animal is listed above. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known historyName: PeachesBreed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois/ American Staffordshire Terrier   (Breed Mix is not guaranteed - no DNA testing has been done)Sex: FemaleAge: 17 weeks as of 10/14/26Weight: 11lbs as of 10/14/26 Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. Before applying, please make sure you're ready for the time, patience, and training they require.>Puppies should not be crated for more than 3–4 hours at a time.>Your home will need to be puppy-proofed.>Expect chewing, nipping, scratching, accidents, and lots of supervision while they learn.>If you have young children, be sure they're prepared for normal puppy behavior.>Training, socialization, exercise, and consistency are essential.  Unless you're an experienced dog owner and your Adoption Coordinator is comfortable with your experience, you will be required to attend puppy training and/or behavior classes. Our goal is to help you and your puppy build a happy, successful, lifelong relationship.Important InformationPaws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs are cared for in foster homes throughout the South and New England.Your adoption donation helps cover veterinary care, transportation, and other expenses for your adopted dog. It also helps us continue to save senior dogs and dogs with serious medical needs or injuries. While their adoption donations are often reduced, their veterinary costs are typically much higher. When you adopt a young, healthy dog or puppy, you're also helping us give another dog a second chance. Thank you for supporting our mission and making rescue possible.IMPORTANT INFORMATIONPaws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need. Paws New England abides by the dog importation regulations set forth in the states of MA, CT, NH and RI.

Story
For Valentine's Day, the Friends of the Taunton Animal Care Facility will cover Bella and Chloe's adoption fee from 2/7 to 2/21. Come and visit Bella and Chloe during the shelter visiting hours and make this Valentine's Day a special day for them! Bella is a German shepherd amstaff mix. She was born on 9/11/21. She is spayed and very healthy. Belle is very affectionate and is good with other dogs including smaller ones. Not a dog for a home with a cat. She loves going for rides and swimming, hiking and generally enjoys being very active. Bella is great with children but can be overwhelming for younger children because she loves to give kisses. She's always been fed high end dog food such as Taste of the Wild, Fromm brand, and Stella and Chewy. She's also used to having somebody cook for her such as green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes and chicken. If interested call Taunton Animal Shelter at 508-822-1463 and ask for Rob Shelter Manager
