Meet Oakley, a 3-month-old Belgian Malinois/Great Pyrenees mix with a tender heart and soulful eyes that are always looking at his person. Sweet Oakley is sure to be a “soul dog” for the lucky person who adopts him. Oakley’s breed results showed he is a mix of 14 different breeds. The top breeds are 27% Belgian Malinois and 27% Great Pyrenees, followed by 9% German Shepherd, 8% Siberian Husky and 7% American Staffordshire Terrier. His predicted adult weight could be anywhere from 68 to 95 pounds, according to the test. Not surprisingly, Oakley is very smart. He’s crate trained and almost fully potty trained at 3 months old. He uses a doggy door at his foster home. He’s highly food motivated and very trainable. Oakley and his three siblings had mange when they were found and ended up on the euthanasia list at a rural shelter before they were pulled into rescue. Oakley has had a bit of a rough start to life and can be a little shy, but give him a few pets and he is ready to snuggle. We think time and love will absolutely bring him out of his shell. Oakley is gentle and calm, but other dogs bring out his playful and silly side. Oakley absolutely adores other dogs and he immediately gets the body wiggles in their presence. We think he would thrive in a home with another dog, or a home where he has lots of opportunities to socialize with other dogs. Meet Leeza! Leeza is female Belgian Malinois/ Shepherd Mix. She is, not surprisingly for her breed, an extremely intelligent girl. Leeza's work ethic is unmatched. She is very motivated and is capable of learning commands, routines, and tasks faster than most breeds. She is housetrained, crate trained, and she knows all of her basic commands. Leeza is 2 years old (DOB 2/12/2024) and weighs about 67 lbs. She loves car rides and the great outdoors. She likes to play with both squeaky toys and puzzles. If you throw a ball for her, she loves to chase after it! Being a working girl, she will require both physical and mental exercise. Leeza is clearly a very devoted girl who unfortunately has not had much socialization in her short life. Despite not getting the attention and love she deserved in those early developmental years, she still gives love freely and unconditionally. She is clearly looking for her person(s). Someone she can love deeply and be fiercely loyal to. Leeza is up for adoption with Double Dog Rescue.
