Hello world. Our names are Demi (F) and Russell (M). We are barely over a year, nearly did not survive as younger pups, and then given the gift of love and kindness. So, here we are today. Our mom did not survive the cruel owner. But dad was his pride and joy, a large Belgian Malinois. Our owner did not care if we lived or died. At one point our littermates were coming down with parvo. This person did not care that our littermates were suffering. This very kind lady was persistent (all 5 feet tall). She came day after day until one day she told them she wasn't going to stand by and let us die too. Demi had all but given up. She was too weak to walk. The owner surrendering them loaded us up in her minivan. After a lot of TLC (tender loving care), medicine, and time, we came back to life. Today (08/13/2024), we do not slow down for pictures. We slow down enough for treats, dinner, and getting into our playard. We love all sizes of other dogs, we have been exposed to cats but have too much energy and love of life to say we are cat social. We love people, sort of leash trained, crate trained and for the most part house trained. We do get in a whole lot of playing and forget to go to the door. Our ideal home is active. Older children would be good. Have time to make us a part of your family. We want to please you. We are not a bonded pair. We would do great with or without another dog as company. Her babies were born on Memorial day. I am about 50lbs now. No one really knows what we are mixed with. Only thing known for sure, I am a beautiful lovebug. I am sweet, gentle, happy girl. Did I tell you I have lots of energy and I would be the perfect running companion or hiking on trails. I love people, children of all ages and sizes, other dogs (adult & puppies & small breeds). Gally (Galaxy) is a playful, energetic, and snuggly 5 year old shepherd mix. She is 86 lbs, up to date on all shots and is spayed. She loves walks on & off leash, swimming, playing fetch, and cuddling on the couch. In a perfect world, she would spend her days outside playing and her nights curled up next to her owner getting tons of pets. She responds well to commands such as sit, stay, lay down, go, in, up, and down. Gally gets along well with most other dogs, particularly males. She is standoffish to new people at first, but as soon as you play or throw a ball, she is instantly your best friend.Gally is timid of loud, sudden noise and will often seek to run and hide when hearing things such as fireworks. She will growl at new people, but has never had a single instance of aggression toward anyone.We would not be trying to rehome our beloved dog, but have 2 small kids at home and simply cannot give Gally the life she deserves. She is perfect pup for someone looking for companionship.
