Please contact JoEllen (sagdinfo@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Mallory is a beautiful 3-year-old Belgian Malinois blend who weighs approximately 70 pounds. Maybe since Mallory is a little older (and/or because of what she is mixed with) she is calmer than most Mals.  She is a little leery when she meets new people, but once you pass her test, she will melt your heart with her sweetness.  She strives to please.  She loves to cuddle, play and even to be combed.  She needs to be in a home where she is very much a part of the family because she wants to be near her favorite person.  She doesn't realize her size, so loves to cuddle in bed if there is room.  :)` A Belgian Malinois is an enthusiastic and quick dog with a natural tendency to always be in motion. This breed is demanding and needs an experienced owner. The Belgian Malinois is a very smart and obedient dog. They can have strong protective and territorial instincts. This breed needs extensive socialization from an early age, and firm, but not harsh, training. Belgians are instinctively protective so they should be trained and socialized very well from an early age. Unless you are specifically working in a protection sport, you do not need to give your Belgian any protection training, as it will come naturally to them. Belgians make excellent pets for the right homes, as they thrive on loving companionship. They instinctively display herding behavior such as chasing and circling, moving effortlessly for hours.  Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $250. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories. Our adoption events are held each Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.  Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com. ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This dog followed me home on my daily walk last year and I tried to keep him but I am just too busy all the time. I work for an airline and travel a lot and this dog needs a lot of interaction, activity, and attention. Five days a week I walk him 1.5 to 2.5 miles a day and he definitely needs that or even more. He is extremely active, but also very sweet and snuggly. He would do great in a house with a lot of property or a farm. He loves to run and loves playing in the water when you’re watering. He likes to chew things also but if you give him tough toys he is very happy with those, and proper bones or antlers. Soft fluffy toys will be destroyed in 5 minutes, lol. This sweet boy needs a home with lots of activity. He is silly and will make you laugh. I just can’t give him all the attention he needs due to traveling a lot

Needs experienced adopter,
Story
We are regrettably rehoming our boy Odin. He will be 3 years old on April 15th. He has recently become very restless with our new work schedules and extra hours we have had to take on. He gets along with our other dog but is slow to warm to new people. He has traditionally not liked children. He is a very loving boy but he does need a lot of attention and work. If you have a lot of energy to give, he will be the best, most loyal companion.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Marley is 6 years old. He lives up to his breed, extremely energetic, loves to play, mischievous, and very smart. He is loving, good with other dogs and great with adults. Currently he lives with a cat also, who he does pretty well with. We have had him since he was a puppy. He is E collar trained, and does well on walks and listening. We love him, but we have a 2 year old and we have found out that Marley does not like children. We would love him to be able to be with a family who is active, kid free. We have had no major incidents but lots of growling and can’t seem to get him adjusted. We want him to have the best most active life. And ideally seeking a family who has experience with the breed.

Story
Jester is my 5 year old malinois who needs to go to a new loving home due to changes in my life that cannot support being there for him. He has lived with other dogs and gotten along with them, but does not do well in dog parks. He is very toy driven and will do anything for you to throw his ball. Jester loves anything adventurous and active. He does great on car rides and sleeps most of the time during road trips.

Story
We’ve had Tank his entire life, we got Tank from a friend that has his mom up in Lubbock. Tank has had extensive training. He knows: “wait” to sit, “leave it”, “heel”. Tank is 6 years old but acts like a puppy most of the time. He loves to play with water and sprinklers, making it a little fun to wash him.Tank is a little anxious but loves a good belly rub. He has ton of energy! Tank has started to jump over the backyard fence, high fences are needed!
