His name is Dex, and he is two years old. We got him from the humane society 1.5 years ago. He is the sweetest boy. He loves to cuddle and he’s easy to teach tricks. We are heart broken that we have to give him up. He has a behavior of chewing things up when left unattended. I have a 4 month old baby and Im about to start school and I no longer have the time to cage him every time I leave the house and give him enough exercise to keep him from getting pent up. My husband is in the military, so when he was home and could take him on long runs, the chewing wasn’t a problem, but I can’t do that for him alone. He needs lots of attention and lots of energy, but he gives lots of cuddles.

We found him in our neighborhood after he was dumped. After 3 days of him waiting in the same spot, my husband, decided to clean him up, and try to find his owners using Nextdoor. After 2 weeks we found his owners but they no longer wanted to claim him. So I found someone else to take him in but they asked got me to get him his shots and get him fixed. Which I did. Then the ones interested, no longer wanted him. They changed their mind. My husband and I already have 4 dogs, one being a hospice chihuahua that of on her last days. He is kennel trained and sleeps in there at night. He is great with other small dogs and kids! Very playful. Very vocal and would thrive in a house with a yard to burn off all that energy. He is house trained and uses a doggie door. We would keep him if we didnt already have 4 of our own. We simply cant do 5 dogs. We have a German/ retriever mix already and 2 big dogs isnt feasible right now. He is such a good dog!

This dog was rescued from the streets, he is in great health, needs an experienced person that knows how to work with him. He is very protective of the property and loves to play, very high energy. Need someone that can give him love, time and training because they love to follow instructions. Also he is very protective of the house and the people that lives in the house, and he can be aggressive towards guests that he doesn't know, so you need to know and understand that. Besides that he is very sweet and love to play. He is 3 years old and very smart.
