Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Flash is a handsome 8 month-old Belgian Shepherd Malinois blend who weighs approximately 36 pounds. A Belgian Malinois is an enthusiastic and quick dog with a natural tendency to always be in motion.  This breed is demanding and needs an experienced owner. The Belgian Malinois is a very smart and obedient dog. They can have strong protective and territorial instincts. This breed needs extensive socialization from an early age, and firm, but not harsh, training. Belgians are instinctively protective so they should be trained and socialized very well from an early age. Unless you are specifically working in a protection sport, you do not need to give your Belgian any protection training, as it will come naturally to them. Belgians make excellent pets for the right homes, as they thrive on loving companionship. They instinctively display herding behavior such as chasing and circling, moving effortlessly for hours and nipping at people's heels. The dog is good for working and competitive obedience.  He will make a loyal companion.  Flash does NOT do well with cats and is better suited to live with larger dogs. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more). You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $250. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Story
Meet Bonnie! Bonnie is a sweet and loyal pup we got from someone rehoming her when she was just a puppy. She now a year old and has grown into the most loving companion anyone could ask for. We're looking for a forever home where Bonnie will be treated like family ;one that offers patience, affection, and plenty of playtime or snuggles (she loves both!). A calm, caring environment where she can thrive would be perfect. Due to my pregnancy and my husband working all day, we can't afford to continue her training and her energetic levels. Shes great with our dogs but still needs to be properly introduced to other dogs. If we had to describe Bonnie in a few words, we say she energetic, affectionate, curious, and well-mannered. She's truly a gem, and we hope to find her a home as special she is

These pups are in Windcrest, Texas too!
