While there, I was kenneled with another dog, and was calm and gentle. I love playing with other dogs, and I also tested great with cats! (We have videos!) Willa is an energetic dog (somewhere between 2-3 years-old) who likes being outside and having the space to run! She was abandoned last year by a homeless person so we don't know her history, but we've had her spayed, vaccinated, crate-trained, through some obedience training, and taught her to live with 2 older dogs. She's part Belgian Malinois, Australian Cattle Dog, Siberian Husky and a little bit Carolina Dog & German Shepherd. Even though she's a medium-sized dog, she likes playing with the big dogs. She's pretty smart, loves chasing bouncy balls, and is fairly good at leash walking (unless a squirrel crosses our path). She can be very sweet, likes having her tummy rubbed, and seems more comfortable with women. Willa has a high prey drive and some insecurities, so we think she'll do best with an experienced owner who knows how to train dogs. Because of her alertness, she could be trained as a guard dog.

Rico is a 4 year old, neutered male German Shepherd/Malinois mix. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and microchipped. Like your typical GSD mix, he is incredibly intelligent, loyal and loving once he knows you're his person. He is dog-friendly and cat-friendly. House-broken and crate-trained. He's a rockstar with his commands and loves to learn. Walks well on a leash. He can be reactive when in busier places and needs someone who is patient and can take things slow. He is a wonderful protector, and you will always feel safe with him around. Rico's ideal home is someone who understands the breed, can work his mind and body every day (training and/or walks), and someone who can continue building his confidence. He needs a home with a fenced yard. No young children. He'd thrive in a quiet home without a lot of people coming and going. He would be incredible in dog sports if that's something you're interested in. He is currently located in Portland, OR.
