Story
Meet Luna — A Big-Hearted German Shepherd Looking for Her Forever HomeLuna is a beautiful, fluffy German Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She may look a little intimidating when you first meet her through a fence — she’s a loyal girl who takes her job of protecting her space seriously. But once Luna knows you, her true self shines through: she’s a total sweetheart and a big baby who loves affection and companionship.Luna is looking for a home with someone who understands German Shepherds and will appreciate her loyal, devoted nature. She is dog selective and does best with the right canine match, especially male dogs. A slow, thoughtful introduction will be important to help her feel comfortable and set everyone up for success. Luna cannot live with cats.Behind her confident exterior is a loving girl who wants to be understood, cared for, and part of a family. With patience, structure, and someone willing to earn her trust, Luna will make a wonderful companion and a fiercely loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a gorgeous German Shepherd with a protective side and a soft, silly heart, Luna may be the girl for you. What her adoption fee covers:✅ Spay✅ Vaccines✅ Microchip✅ Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Luna? Please email: adoption@columbiahumane.org for an application.Adoption Fee: $350For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJuly 21, 2026, 6:37 am

Story
FENGEER is a mix of GSD, Chocolate Lab, Bloodhound, Husky, Boreal and Anatolian Shepherd and will probably be about 80# full grown. He's very handsome, wants someone to love on him and will make a great pet once he's had some training. Fengeer is the alpha dog with the pups that are left and may continue to think he's the boss so maybe would be best without other males. The puppies have had to be in an outside kennel and have not had as much socialization as the owner would like but she's had her hands full with these pups and family matters. Owner says he does need a fenced yard. He is up to date on most of his shots but will need his rabies vaccine and will need neutered. The cost of that will be included in his adoption fee, which will be $275 Please fill out an adoption application and we'll hook you up with the owner as soon as you are approved. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
-Bruno is a 4 year old male GSD, he is a gentle giant and a little air headed at times. He enjoys running and fetching but shows little initiative for it, only if his sister Alaska plays, then he will play fetch too. He is neutered but has sired a litter before, this does not seem to have impacted his physical well-being. -Bruno seems to be more easy going, I am sure if he could lounge on a couch all day he would. He is also fiercely loyal and attentive, always at your hip if you get up and move around. His manners can be built upon, meaning he will listen to commands only after being told two or three more times (we try to encourage say-it-once and reinforcement but it doesn’t always work), but he is still young so I believe he can still learn commands. He is also bilingual, he understands commands in Spanish and in English. -His reactivity is fairly low, only chasing squirrels in the yard when given the chance. Peep the blurry images of this guy!

Story
Miley is a people person, loves absolutely everyone, including kids. Miley was once professionally trained, but after living with my partners parents, they unraveled everything she knew except for basics. She's stubborn, but can be retrained with time and patience. She was once very good with other dogs as well, but sadly after shes had negative interactions with dogs in our apartment complex she has become a little reactive. She loves going on walks and does really well, even when coming across other dogs if at a distance. I have been working with her and she has gotten a lot better.
