We rescued pax from the Everett animal shelter when he was 6 months old, unknowing his breed. We did a DNA test and his results are as follows: 50% Belgian Malinois, 3% German Shepherd Dog, 26% German Shorthaired pointer, and 21% Labrador Retriever. He is a very kind and loving dog but he needs a job and plenty of exercise that we can’t provide him after having a child (whom he does great with.) Without a job, he naturally wants to chew, dig, and gets anxious and bored leading to difficult behavior. He does great with the other dogs in our house who we had before him, but I am unsure how he would do with a new dog or a new pet. We have tried training with a licensed dog trainer and training collars. He just needs more than we can provide and I believe he has the potential of being very well behaved in the right environment and under better circumstances. An experienced Belgian owner would be ideal, as they are extremely specific breeds that we had zero knowledge on prior. We are so sad

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Adoptable Junnie! He is a ~4.5-5 year-old, Malinois mix who is looking for his forever home! He came to us around 9 months old, and has been waiting for a foster or forever home with us for 4 years. He would love to find his forever family ❤️ Junnie is a happy and sweet boy who loves to play and be active! He will require an active family that has experience with working breeds. He would make a great outdoors (hiking/camping/running etc) partner. He loves to play with toys and loves fetch! Junnie has been working on his dog socialization skills during his time with us and has made massive strides in what used to be overexcited puppy mouthiness, pretty typical for a young Malinois mix! He has done great with other dogs in our care on walks, and during meets, and group socializing. We do now know how he will be with another dog in the home, so meeting any existing pets in the home is a must. He would also do great as an only dog soaking up all the affection and continuing dog socialization outside of the home. He will require a home with a fenced yard for running and playing, no apartments. Junnie bonds deeply to his person/people, and can take a bit to gain trust with new people. We are looking for a home with no kids or cats. Junnie is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.
