******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you area not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Sarge is a neutered 2 year old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix currently being fostered in Denver, CO. Sarge is an outgoing, playful, and affectionate boy with a big personality and an even bigger love for fun. He is smart, curious, and full of energy, and he thrives when he has opportunities to play, explore, and be active with his people. Sarge loves other dogs and is always eager to make friends. He will happily nudge a dog to invite them to play and enjoys running and tug of war, especially with dogs his size or larger. While he gets excited and may pull toward dogs on leash, he is not aggressive and does well with slow, proper introductions. He is great at picking up on cues and will back off when another dog is done playing. Sarge has a moderate to high energy level and would do best in an active home. He would love daily walks, hikes, playtime, and mental stimulation. A fenced yard would be a big bonus, but he could also thrive with a family committed to keeping him exercised. He would do well with or without another dog in the home. On leash, Sarge could use some continued training. He is strong and tends to pull, but he responds well to guidance and does great with a gentle leader. He is fully house trained and crate trained, sleeping in his crate overnight and when his people are out. He can also be trusted with free roam, as he is not destructive. Sarge is a total lovebug with people. He is very cuddly, affectionate, and happy to greet new friends, though he may jump a bit when excited. He loves toys and proudly hoards them, lining them up one by one like treasured possessions. One of his cutest habits is doing a full somersault onto his dog bed after running inside. Sarge would be an amazing match for an active person or family looking for an adventure buddy. Older kids or dog savvy children would be best since he can be jumpy when excited. With continued leash training, plenty of toys, and lots of outdoor time, Sarge will be a loyal, joyful companion. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him? Story
Jade is the kind of dog who makes you realize just how much heart can fit into one very wiggly, very beautiful pup. She’s a young Belgian Malinois / German Shepherd mix, and she carries all the brilliance, drive, and devotion that comes with those working-breed roots wrapped up in one incredibly affectionate girl. At her core, Jade is a happy, social, people-loving dog who thrives on connection. She adores being close to her humans, leans in for affection, and will happily soak up every bit of attention you’re willing to give. Once she’s comfortable, her sweet, playful side really shines—she enjoys cuddles just as much as she enjoys a good game of fetch, and she has that endearing “all in” enthusiasm for everything she does. Watch how cute she is in her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/oSRaJttKOh4?si=DRQVrTWWotdlkd_c Jade is currently fostered in a lively home with six other dogs and two cats, and she fits right into the pack. She absolutely loves other animals and draws a lot of her confidence from being around them. In fact, she would do best in a home with another friendly, playful dog who can help guide her, keep her company, and be her playmate. She truly lights up when she has a canine friend nearby—it helps her feel grounded and happy. With cats, Jade is respectful and gentle. She’s curious and interested in interacting, so she would do best with a dog-savvy cat who can confidently set boundaries. When they do, she listens and adjusts well. She just really wants to be part of the group and share space and energy with everyone around her. Because of her breed mix, Jade is very intelligent and very driven. She’s a “doer” who thrives when she has structure, enrichment, and things to think about. Puzzle toys, training sessions, games of fetch, and daily physical activity are all things that make her feel fulfilled and balanced. Without outlets for her energy and brain, she can become frustrated, so she’s looking for a home that understands and appreciates a working dog’s needs. Jade would do best in a home with a yard where she can safely stretch her legs, run, play, and burn off some of that natural energy throughout the day. While walks and outings are wonderful, having a secure outdoor space will really help set her up for success and give her the freedom she needs to thrive. On leash, Jade is still polishing her manners. She gets very excited about seeing other dogs and may bark or pull in her eagerness to say hello and play. This isn’t from a place of reactivity or aggression—she’s simply overflowing with enthusiasm and social energy. With consistent, positive training and someone who enjoys working with dogs, she will absolutely continue to improve. In new environments, Jade can feel a bit unsure at first. She may be anxious while she settles in and looks to other animals for reassurance. Once she adjusts, her confidence grows, and her true personality—playful, loving, and loyal—comes forward beautifully. She just needs a little patience at the beginning to show how amazing she really is. Jade is also believed to be a wonderful candidate for a family environment, including homes with children, as she has such a gentle, affectionate, and social nature. Of course more testing can always be done to ensure the perfect match for everyone involved. She is not the kind of dog who fits into a low-key, “walk around the block and chill” lifestyle. She’s a companion for someone who wants a partner—someone who enjoys training, activity, adventure, and building a strong bond with their dog. In the right home, she’s going to be incredibly devoted. She bonds deeply, learns quickly, and wants nothing more than to be included in life. She is stunning, affectionate, eager, and full of potential. With structure, exercise, companionship, and love, Jade will absolutely blossom into the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog who feels like she was meant to be by your side. Adopt her now! Story
Meet Poppy the blooming beauty who is ready to plant some serious joy in your life! If you’re looking for a partner in crime for every trail and trek, this vibrant girl is ready to grow right alongside you. Poppy is a total firecracker with a heart of gold and a personality that sparkles! She is the definition of "life of the party," greeting every single person she meets like a long lost best friend. Don't let her athletic prowess fool you Poppy is a "Gentle Giant" through and through. Whether she’s giving out enthusiastic hugs or showing off her lightning fast learning skills, Poppy brings an infectious, super fun energy to every room she enters. She’s the kind of dog who makes every day feel like a sunny afternoon in the park. Believe us her moves are something you don’t want to miss, See her zoomies in action! https://youtu.be/Yzc8F6Ou5MA What makes Poppy truly special is her incredible bond with her humans; she is a total velcro dog who just wants to be where the action is! While she has the drive of an adventurer, she is also a world class lounger who loves to hang out on the couch after a day of play. She loves her "private mini room!" Poppy is crate trained and views her space as a cozy sanctuary to relax. She’s been living and playing with smaller dogs (around 17 lbs) and has shown she’s a social butterfly who loves to lick her foster siblings' faces every morning to say "hello." She’s a smart cookie who picks up on house rules in a heartbeat! Poppy knows exactly how to scale down her play to be gentle with small dogs, and she’s a master of the "play bow" to make sure everyone knows she’s a friend, not a foe. She is a dream on a walk and a proud member of the loose leash club. No pulling here just a girl who loves to stroll and take in the sights. No accidents here! She is a pro at keeping her space clean and follows a household routine perfectly. Incredibly smart, perfectly gentle, and always ready for the next ride. She is a loving explorer at heart, always ready to navigate a new hiking trail or scout out the best local coffee shop patio with you by her side. We suspect Poppy is a Belgian Malinois mix, which means she’s got the brains and the beauty! Weighing in at a sleek 45 pounds, she is that perfect medium size big enough to keep up on a run, but compact enough to easily hop in the car for a weekend getaway. Of course, with any rescue, her breed is a bit of a mystery, but her intelligence and stunning coat are 100% pure bred Good Girl. When it comes to other dogs, Poppy is a social superstar! She loves a good game of chase and is a play bow professional. She isn't just a pretty face (though that coat and those perked up ears speak for themselves!). She’s a vocal girl, but not for no reason she just loves to chat and invite her friends to join the party. Great with friends, but is just as happy to be your one and only! She would be happiest in a home with a medium energy dog who can keep up with her fun loving wrestling matches but also knows when it’s time to take a collective nap. Whether she’s sharing her favorite toys, wrestling on the couch, or inviting a buddy to play with one of her signature "are you ready to play" chirps, she is a polite and playful companion who would make an amazing addition to a multi dog household. Poppy thinks she’s the star of the show, so she’s looking for a feline free home! She’d much rather spend her time focusing on her human friends or playing "tag" with her canine buddies than worrying about what a kitty is up to. To keep everyone happy and wagging, she’s sticking to a cat free lifestyle where she can be her best, bouncy self. The ideal home for Poppy is one that matches her zest for life! Because she’s a brilliant working breed mix, she’d love an active adopter who enjoys training or outdoor adventures. She would adore a house with a yard to zoom in, but she could also be a rockstar apartment dog for a active person who treats the city as their playground. Something cute about her? She’s a talker with her paws she’ll invite you to play with the most adorable little dances! In Short: Poppy is Perfection! She is a brilliant, affectionate, and adventurous soul who is just waiting for the right person to lead the way. She’s also a bit of a home decorator when she’s feeling playful on the couch, she loves to rearrange the pillows to get her setup just right. It’s just one of the many quirky ways she brings joy and laughter to her foster home every day. She’s got the brains of a scholar and the heart of a puppy, making her the ultimate companion for a life lived out loud. He is sweet, calm, and deeply people-oriented, enjoying companionship and closeness with those around him. He has the kind of soft, loving energy that makes everyone feel instantly comfortable. He also gets along beautifully with: Cats Dogs People Abuelito is described as extremely affectionate and very gentle, making him the kind of dog who simply wants love, connection, and a peaceful home where he can feel safe and included. As a Belgian Malinois / Carolina Dog mix, Abuelito may show traits such as intelligence, awareness, loyalty, and strong emotional bonds with his family. While Belgian Malinois mixes are often known for being active and intelligent, Abuelito appears to have a calmer, softer temperament that makes him especially endearing. Abuelito would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily companionship and affection Moderate exercise and walks Structure and consistency Inclusion as part of the family He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, loyal, and emotionally connected dog. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Abuelito will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Patience during adjustment periods Routine and companionship Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Abuelito will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping him live a healthy and happy life. Abuelito is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Meet Bo Breed: Belgian Malinois / Mastiff Mix Sex: Male DOB: August 3, 2022 Weight: 70 Pounds Health: Healthy and doing well Bo is a handsome, intelligent boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This energetic Malinois/Mastiff mix combines the loyalty and devotion of both breeds with a playful spirit that makes every day feel like an adventure. Sadly, Bo has become one of the rescue’s long-timers, patiently watching other dogs leave for their forever homes while he continues to wait for someone to notice him. He deserves the chance to finally leave the shelter behind and start the life he’s been hoping for. Personality Bo is affectionate, loyal, and full of joyful energy. He loves interacting with people and thrives on connection and companionship. His playful personality keeps life fun, whether he’s enjoying a walk, learning something new, or simply spending time close to his humans. Bo forms strong bonds and becomes deeply devoted to the people he trusts. His sweet nature and loving heart make him a wonderful companion who truly wants to be part of a family. Breed Info A Belgian Malinois and Mastiff mix combines intelligence, strength, and loyalty. Malinois are known for their sharp minds, trainability, and desire to work closely with their owners, while Mastiffs bring calm confidence and deep devotion to their families. Dogs with this mix tend to be incredibly loyal and thrive when given both mental stimulation and physical activity. With structure and engagement, they become deeply bonded companions who love being involved in daily life. Owner Responsibilities Bo already has a foundation of basic training, but like many intelligent dogs, he will benefit from continued training and mental enrichment. Regular exercise such as daily walks, play sessions, and activities that challenge his mind will help keep him happy and balanced. Positive reinforcement training will strengthen the bond between Bo and his adopter while helping him continue to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. ⚠️ Things to Consider Before adopting Bo, it’s important to think about your long-term lifestyle and stability. Are pets allowed where you live now and in the future? If you move, will Bo move with you? Do you have the time each day to provide exercise, engagement, and companionship? Are you financially prepared for routine veterinary care, food, and unexpected medical needs? Dogs like Bo deserve a home that is committed to them for life. Vet Care Even though Bo is healthy, adopters should establish care with their own veterinarian soon after adoption. This helps ensure preventative care continues properly and provides a trusted medical partner for Bo’s long-term health and well-being. Understanding the 3-3-3 Rule Like most rescue dogs, Bo will need time to adjust to his new home. The first 3 days he may feel unsure as he decompresses from the transition. The first 3 weeks he will begin learning your routine and feeling more secure. By 3 months, his confidence will grow and his full personality will shine. Patience and consistency during this adjustment period will help Bo thrive. Why Bo? Bo has waited patiently for someone to see the amazing dog he truly is. He is loyal, playful, intelligent, and full of love to give. Long-timer dogs like Bo often become the most devoted companions because they know what it means to finally be chosen. The family who gives Bo his forever home will gain a faithful friend who will stand by their side through every adventure.
