Drita was stray for several weeks before some very patient people were finally able to trap her and bring her to Animal Control. This poor girl is slowly coming out of flight mode and learning that people can be trustworthy and loving and safe. We'd love to find a patient home for her that can give her more than what we can provide for her here. She needs some time to decompress and warm up, but she will eventually make someone an awesome active and loyal companion. Whiskey is a handsome pup with a heart full of love and a face that'll steal yours in a second. He’s a pro at keeping his kennel clean and walks like a gentleman on the leash. Whiskey already knows “sit” and is eager to learn more—especially if toys are involved! Speaking of which, Whiskey LOVES toys—they're his absolute favorite. Looking for a smart, tidy, and toy-loving companion? Whiskey’s your guy! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. Tori came into our care with some skin issues and a little unsure about her change in environment. She quickly showed us what a wonderful and sweet dog she is. While healing from her skin issues in a foster home, she further demonstrated her outgoing and loving personality. Her foster family said she is a delight in their home and does well with all three of her foster siblings. Tori's favorite things include playing chase in the yard with the other dogs, going for runs with her foster mom and snuggling on the couch with anyone and everyone who lets her wiggle her way into their lap. No really, if you're sitting down, it is a race for her to get into your lap for all the cuddles you can give. Tori is a typical Belgian Malinois in many ways--smart, loyal, driven and adventurous. She thrives on activities with her people that enrich her life and her relationships with her family. For her to be the best companion, she needs a home that understands the mental and physical demands this breed requires to keep her happy and healthy. As a young dog, she is always learning new things and manners, including how to spend time alone and what boundaries are with other dogs. She is easy to train as a dog that is food motivated and interested in people pleasing. If you are ready to take on a spirited adventure buddy that will provide loyal companionship, Tori is your dog.

Astrid - almost 4 years old - is a beautiful, intelligent German Shepherd who embodies many classic traits of her breed: loyal, protective, and deeply bonded to her people. She`s looking for a calm, structured home where she can truly thrive as the only pet.She is incredibly affectionate with her foster family. Once she`s warmed up to you, she`ll seek out your attention, follow you around the house, and even crawl into your lap for cuddles on her own terms. She`s housebroken, kennel-trained, and knows several commands like sit, wait, kennel, and ok (release). She even comes when you whistle!In true shepherd fashion, Astrid is protective of her home and will alert bark at strangers. She requires slow, patient introductions to new people, but once she feels safe, her sweet, silly side shines through. She`s a great mix of playful and cuddly - she loves a good game of fetch and enjoys `talking` to let you know when she wants something.She walks well on a leash, but should be held close when passing other dogs.She does well with older, respectful children but is too stimulated by the fast movements of small kids, so a home without young children is best.
