You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator-Sandra WardellMeet Farrah 2 year old, 73 lb female Belgian Malinois Farrah is the kind of dog who is looking for her female best friend, not just a home. She bonds deeply, loves fiercely, and once you’re hers, you’ll have a loyal shadow and a full-time cuddle companion for life. Farrah is an absolute cuddle bug who would happily spend her evenings curled up on the couch with you, making every night feel like a cozy love story. She does well in a kennel when needed, but her heart is definitely set on the “couch life.” Farrah has decent house manners and hasn’t shown any destructive behavior in her foster home. She also has fantastic recall, which is a great foundation for continued training. Like many young, enthusiastic dogs, Farrah is still learning her manners. When she gets excited, she may jump up or attach to your arm she doesn’t mean any harm, she just doesn’t know how to contain her excitement to see you and needs continued discipline. She enjoys playtime and can be rough-and-tumble with her dog friends, so she’d do best with dogs who can match her play style. The good news? Farrah does great with cats and even chickens! Her history with kids is currently unknown. Farrah tends to bond more quickly with women but has no issues with men. She’s looking for a home that can offer moderate daily exercise, continued guidance, and plenty of affection. In return, Farrah promises a lifetime of loyalty, the street cred of a Malinois without all the work, and plenty of snuggles! Farrah may still be learning the rules, but her heart is already perfect. All she needs now is someone to write the rest of her love story with her. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator: Chris Wood Rufus is a fabulous neutered male, Malinois mix (by DNA test, 54% Malinois on both sides; 20% boxer; also 1% Chihuahua!) who is in search of his forever home.  He was born July 2021, is microchipped, housetrained, and has a moderate level of obedience training (please see the video attached). He will need a family who is dog savvy and has an understanding of Malinois traits such as being protective, herding nips, prey drive, and high intelligence. While Rufus does display some of that boxer energy, his Malinois genes are present. When meeting new people, Rufus is cautious, but friendly once  he decides the person is okay and part of the "pack.”  Patience and an introduction routine help a lot. Rufus is loyal, intelligent, agile, well-behaved, and eager to please. He is a pleasure to have around,  healthy, and is up-to-date with shots. Four years ago, when he was about  11 months old, Rufus was adopted from a shelter in Oregon and went to live on a farm. Since then, his owners have moved to the city and travel frequently to see family. They have concluded that this is not the best situation for Rufus, long term. Therefore they are reluctantly seeking a new, stable home for this delightful dog. Rufus loves walks, chasing a ball, sniffing, and playing find-the-toy. He is amazing at finding hidden objects! Obedience skills include: heel, sit, down, stay, sit-stay, down stay. He is good on a leash. He likes to learn new games and tricks. His Malinois nature is exhibited in his love of mental engagement. Give him a job, and he'll do it! Rufus also exhibits his Malinois genes through athleticism. He is eager, but is not "wired." He is often left alone in the house for hours at a time with no destructive behavior or accidents.  He has made numerous 1,000 mile car trips between Georgia and Missouri and is mostly okay with car rides as long as he has a good place to lie down. Rufus adores his owners' double-digit-aged grandchild who is dog savvy and respectful of him. Rufus also plays well with other dogs at doggy daycare and when he is boarded.  If you are interested in adopting Rufus, please reach out to Scott at 503-367-4228. ***This is a courtesy post to support Rufus’s transition. Rufus is not an ABMR rescue dog.***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.  March 16, 2026, 11:50 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator: Carol Aulick COURTESY POST Rainy is a deeply loyal, sensitive 2-year-old Belgian Malinois who bonds intensely with her person. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly affectionate and devoted. She's the kind of dog who wants to be by your side and involved in whatever you’re doing.    She can be timid when first meeting new people, but with patience and calm energy, she blossoms into a loving and attentive companion. She is open to women but needs more time to be comfortable with men.    Rainy enjoys structure and does best with consistency and leadership. She is neutral around unfamiliar dogs in public settings and currently lives successfully with 2 male dogs. She does not do well sharing space with another adult female dog in the home. She has not been tested with cats. She is also very gentle with 3 and 5 year old children.    She loves to play and run but she's also a cuddle bug. She has off leash obedience training and knows sit, down, stay (though she tests this one), off, here (come), and drop it. She can recall up to an acre. She can also spin and go center between your legs. She loves to give hugs and has the command "Can I have a hug?" Where she stands on her hind legs and wraps her arms around you and puts her head in your chest. If you ask "what's in your mouth" she will bring it to you, if you say "can I have it?" She will drop it in your hand. She is very intelligent and picks up commands and ques quick. She is more treat than toy motivated but she does love to play as well.    Rainy is also crate trained, house broken and rides well in the car. Her favorite toys are spiky balls and sticks and playing fetch. She is a truly incredible dog that needs love and patience to see her come out of her shell.    Located in Mississippi- If you're interested in this one of a kind girl please contact Lissa at lissak112@gmail.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.  March 15, 2026, 12:47 pm

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🌟 Meet Nash — Your Co-Pilot for Life’s Next Adventure 🌟🐾 Male • 4 Months Old • Shepherd Blend • ~15 lbs (for now!) If you’ve been searching for a handsome, happy, life-loving puppy who wakes up every morning ready to take on the world… Nash would like to submit his application. At just 4 months old and around 15 pounds, Nash is currently in the very important stage of puppyhood known as “Everything Is Amazing and I Must Investigate It Immediately.” Leaf blowing across the yard? Investigation required. Toy on the floor? Time for a wrestling match. Another dog nearby? Instant best friend. Nash is a sweet, playful, active pup who absolutely loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playmate for backyard zoomies, wrestling matches, and the occasional “who can run faster” competition. He’s also wonderful with people and brings that classic happy puppy energy wherever he goes. Of course, like most pups his age, Nash does come equipped with tiny puppy shark teeth and sharp little nails — mainly used for enthusiastic kisses, toy battles, and the occasional investigation of shoelaces. Cats are currently unknown, but since Nash is still so young, with proper introductions he should adapt just fine. One thing is certain: Nash is a full-time bringer of puppy joy and laughter. Life with him will include plenty of silly moments, wiggly greetings, surprise zoomies, and all the goofy puppy shenanigans that make raising a dog so much fun. And when he grows up? Nash is expected to be that perfect medium size — big enough for adventures but still compact enough to fit perfectly into everyday life. That means he’s ready to sign up for things like: • Hiking and weekend adventures • Neighborhood walks • Camping trips • Backyard playtime • Co-piloting all errand runs (he takes this job very seriously) • Couch snuggles after a long day of fun If you’re looking for a pup who will bring laughter, adventure, and a whole lot of love into your life, Nash is ready to jump into the passenger seat and start the journey. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Nash bring the puppy fun, the zoomies, and the lifelong friendship home. 🐶💛

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator: Valerie Sharp Max, a large handsome, young, sweet, gentle and affectionate Malinois is looking for his forever home. Max came into rescue after finding himself  at the Hartford CT pound. Max is up to date on all his vet care, healthy and friendly with other dogs. He is being fostered in Vermont.  Here is what is foster has to say about Max:  Although he came with visible bruises and also invisible ones he is not particularly wary of strangers and warms up quickly, especially when there is an ear rub involved. Quickly after I brought him home he sidled right up when I sat with him on the floor. He melts into your hands when being petted and he is a real snuggler. He rides very well in the car. As soon as the wheels are rolling he lies down and relaxes. After I picked him up at the shelter it did not take him long to go to sleep on his dog bed in the back of the car.  Because he can get mildly carsick, I learned to take the corners slowly, especially when going around town running errands. That does the trick. He met a lot of dogs so far, big and small, and he has not shown any reactivity. Once he is comfortable he tries to engage in play. I think he has not had a lot of practice and his main mode of initiating play is barking at the other dog. When he gets excited and barks at me I take him on short leash and walk on, that calms him down.I have not observed any food guarding. He sits close to other dogs when given treats without problems and keeps eating when other dogs walk by. I can also take his bowl away without protest. He is food motivated and that makes teaching him very easy. As long as the instructions are calm and gentle he stays engaged. When he feels rushed or when he’s not quite sure what’s going on he gets suspicious and stops trying. If I take it down a notch it usually does not take him long to reengage. For the most part he learned to walk nicely on the leash. Especially on the road he stays close to the leg. He’s not skittish when cars, trucks or snowmobiles are going by very closely. Going through the woods with all the smells and when my other dog is ahead he can be pulling on the leash but he is getting better when we are by ourselves.  He does sit nicely and his downs are improving. Outside he is doing well on recall. Getting out of the house or the car he waits until he gets the ok, and the same is true when he is being fed.   Occasionally he chews on things especially when he’s bored or frustrated and we are currently in the process of finding an appropriate chew and play toys.  Having said that, he has also been in the living room snoozing on his bed  when I was in the basement and did not chew on anything until I got back upstairs.I would say his exercise needs a moderate, he likes to go on walks and trots along cross country skiing but he’s not a crazy exerciser. When we come home after the walk he usually quickly settles calmly in the house Since he is on the leash it is difficult to say anything about his prey drive but judging by the way he runs after the frisbee there is certainly some.       In the last four weeks he adjusted nicely to the new circumstances and schedule. Early in the morning when I get up to make coffee and read for a while, he mostly stays on his bed and keeps sleeping. Then we go out for the walk and after breakfast he settles on his bed. I take him out for a short break at noon and then around three we go for the afternoon walk. After the short before-bedtime-potty-walk he sleeps through the night, usually on his bed in the bedroom but recently he has started to spend some nights in the living room. As far as crate training is concerned. In the beginning was very afraid to go into the crate therefore I am not pushing at all and let him take his own time to get used to it. We do not know any of his history before he was picked up by Animal Control but just seeing the progress that he has made over the last 4 weeks is a beautiful experience. He is young and therefore needs a lot of attention and training but he is worth every minute of your time.  If you would like to learn more about Max please email me at vsharp@malinoisrescue.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.  March 9, 2026, 8:02 pm
