Hello from Miss Zelda!Zelda is an absolute love and does great with the other similarly sized dogs in her foster home. It is clear she has had at least one litter of puppies, but she is now spayed and ready to find her perfect home. She is also fantastic with the two children in the home aged 6 and 13, although her foster has definitely been working on her manners with her in terms of eating food that doesn’t belong to her. Zelda loves the other dogs but is very much driven by human attention and affection. She is extremely food motivated but does not seem to have any toy drive.This beautiful girl would do best in a home with children over age 5 and no small animals including small dogs or cats. She has a definite prey drive.  A home where she will receive lots of love and attention, along with continued training and socialization, is a must for this girl. Adoption fees: Adult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm and microchip each dog as well as spay or neuter. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. He tried to keep out of sight from people, even when the volunteers were doling out food for him. Apparently, he was deeply haunted by multiple attacks in his short three months’ life. After Allen was rescued, his physical revealed that he was severely anemic. Under the loving tender care of his foster family, Allen slowly gained his trust toward people around him and started to play with other dogs in the household. Still, he’s not too comfortable being held by people, but great improvement has shown as time goes by. Allen is now a lively, playful and happy pup when around familiar environment. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature, only a little shy around strangers, especially toward men. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He’ll be a great addition to family with dog! Very affectionate pup, up to date on shots. Very healthy. She is one of 3 puppies that were born on January 17 2024, will be a large - xlarge once full grown. Can do better with some more training. Requires a big space to run most likely a yard to her self tho will do fine with other dogs. I am looking for someone to make the time to properly continue training her & provide the right amount of exercise as she does need a lot of space to run . She is currently used to having a play mate as I have other puppies myself and do well with each other.

My name is Asteroid, and I am a gorgeous 2 yo long haired black and brown GSD. I was found tied up to a fire hydrant in front of the Richmond, CA. Shelter and was taken to the Martinez Shelter where I ended up on death row. Luckily, Martina Animal Rescue saved me from the shelter at the 11th hour. I was in a foster home briefly, but it wasn't a good situation. They kept me outside all the time in a very small crate where I couldn't even move around. So, I was placed in a boarding kennel until I find my forever home. I have been there for more than a year. I really like the people there and I make the best of it, but it sure would be nice to have a home and family of my very own. They do tell me every day that I am a great dog and that they love me and this makes me feel so happy.❤️ I just found out that the Boarding Kennel I am in is closing at the end of this month. I don't know where I am going to go now and I am very worried and sad. I hope I don't end up back at the scary shelter. I am reserved and nervous when I meet new people (especially men). I think this is because my original human abandoned me. But, once I know you and trust you, I am a very loving and affectionate dog. My humans tell me I am smart, curious, love taking walks and am easy to train because I love their treats. I also really like meeting other dogs and playing with them. My friends tell me that I would make an excellent personal protective dog. Wouldn't it be nice to be happily greeted at the door every time you come home by your best friend and know that your home and belongings were safe and sound. My name is Papa Bear and I am a friendly and easy going 9 year old. I was rescued from the Shelter by Martina Animal Rescue and am currently in boarding while I wait for a foster or adopter. . The shelter said I am easy to handle. I like going for walks and love getting pets, affection and attention. 🥰 I came in with a female who was rescued. I also ignored the other dogs I passed at the shelter, so would likely do okay with another larger dog with proper introductions. Since I'm an older gentleman, I'm very easy going, no "stay off my lawn" energy from me and none of those headaches a puppy causes! I adore being pet and brushed. Any pampering is fine by me! My name is Maya and I’m 2 years old. I am really cute! Check out my pics. I look like regular german shepherd, but I have short legs and I’m a little chubby. I was rescued from the shelter by Martina Animal Rescue and am now in boarding while I wait for a foster or adopter. Both the shelter behaviorist and my rescue that came to meet me said I was a little stand-offish at first, but just give it 5 minutes and I’m all in! Once I know you for a few minutes, I am totally engaged, love attention, affection and will come over to you for more pets and playfulness. I’m a smart girl too! I know some basic commands like “sit” and “down and I have also had no reaction to other dogs I met outside in the quad.
