My name is Asteroid, and I am a gorgeous 2 yo long haired black and brown GSD. I was found tied up to a fire hydrant in front of the Richmond, CA. Shelter and was taken to the Martinez Shelter where I ended up on death row. Luckily, Martina Animal Rescue saved me from the shelter at the 11th hour. I was in a foster home briefly, but it wasn't a good situation. They kept me outside all the time in a very small crate where I couldn't even move around. So, I was placed in a boarding kennel until I find my forever home. I have been there for more than a year. I really like the people there and I make the best of it, but it sure would be nice to have a home and family of my very own. They do tell me every day that I am a great dog and that they love me and this makes me feel so happy.❤️ I just found out that the Boarding Kennel I am in is closing at the end of this month. I don't know where I am going to go now and I am very worried and sad. I hope I don't end up back at the scary shelter. I am reserved and nervous when I meet new people (especially men). I think this is because my original human abandoned me. But, once I know you and trust you, I am a very loving and affectionate dog. My humans tell me I am smart, curious, love taking walks and am easy to train because I love their treats. I also really like meeting other dogs and playing with them. My friends tell me that I would make an excellent personal protective dog. Wouldn't it be nice to be happily greeted at the door every time you come home by your best friend and know that your home and belongings were safe and sound. My name is Papa Bear and I am a friendly and easy going 9 year old. I was rescued from the Shelter by Martina Animal Rescue and am currently in boarding while I wait for a foster or adopter. . The shelter said I am easy to handle. I like going for walks and love getting pets, affection and attention. 🥰 I came in with a female who was rescued. Both the shelter behaviorist and my rescue that came to meet me said I was a little stand-offish at first, but just give it 5 minutes and I’m all in! My name is Cookies, and I am an XXL 5 yo long haired Shepherd mix. My human friends call me a gentle giant because I weigh around 90 pounds but think I am a lap dog. I was surrendered to a kill shelter with my little dog friend and ended up on death row. My friend was adopted without me which made me so sad. Luckily, I was saved from the shelter and am currently in a boarding facility while I wait for a family of my very own. It feels like I have been waiting FOREVER. As you can see from my videos below, I am a sweet, affectionate, treat motivated dog. My pictures offering my rescuer my paw and giving him kisses are adorable. My rescue has been working with me in boarding, and they say I love to play with stuffed toys and squeaky balls. My name is Zipdaee and I am an 80 pound happy, fun and well behaved boy. My rescue thinks I am a Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix. I have a beautiful white coat with a golden tint. I love training, know some basic obedience and am very focused on my handler. I am friendly with people and at a recent adoption event I got to say hi and meet lots of people who were nice and gave me pets, including some older children (7+). I also don't mind getting brushed. It feels so good! I walk great on a leash and I’m down for just about anything—an easy walk around the neighborhood, playing lots of fetch, or just chilling with you while you catch up on your favorite Netflix series. I was in a short term foster home, but am currently in a boarding kennel that is going out of business. I really need a foster or adopter or I might have to go back to the shelter. I did not have any accidents in my foster home, and my foster family said I was good about staying out of trouble while they were away. I love squeaky toys – I think they’re literally the best thing ever! And, I enjoy car rides, especially when I get to stick my head out the window! Chance is also a very smart dog! He walks well on a leash and knows basic commands (sit, down, shake) and he waits upon command at a street or driveway for crossing. He enjoys playing fetch and even catches the ball in mid-air! With proper, supervised introductions, Chance would do fine in a home with a female dog friend around his age.
