Story
Uma – ID 16642 – Kennel 54 Belgian Shepherd / Malinois mix – black and white – female – 2 years old – 55 lb Spayed – up to date on vaccines – heartworm negative – arrived Jan 30 Dog friendly – good with children Uma is a very sweet, gentle girl with a soft heart and kind eyes. She can be shy at first, but she knows it — and once she feels safe, her loving nature starts to shine. Uma has had pups before, and she’s ready to close that chapter for good. She’ll be spayed prior to adoption and is looking forward to a future where she can simply be someone’s cherished companion. Uma came to the shelter after an “escape artist” situation. She arrived with her brother, Bear. Bear was the clever one who figured out how to dig out, and Uma followed his lead. In the past, the owner usually reclaimed them… but this time no one came. Now Uma is hoping this is the moment everything changes — not another cycle of coming back, but a real new beginning and a true forever home. She does well with other dogs and is good with children. Uma would thrive with a patient adopter and a secure setup, plus time to settle in and build confidence. With consistency, reassurance, and love, Uma is the kind of dog who will bond deeply and be grateful every single day to finally belong. Story
Bear – ID 16643 – Kennel 55 Belgian shepherd / Malinois mix – tri-color – male – 2 years old – 60 lb Neutered – up to date on vaccines – heartworm negative – arrived Jan 30 Dog friendly – good with children Bear is a sweet, smart boy with a gentle spirit and a curious mind. He can be shy at first, but he knows it — and once he’s comfortable, Bear shows how affectionate and loyal he can be. He’s the kind of dog who watches closely, learns quickly, and wants to feel secure with the people around him. Bear arrived at the shelter with his sister, Uma. Bear is also the “brains” behind the escape operation — the one who would dig out, and Uma would follow. Historically, their owner usually reclaimed them… but not this time. And as sad as that is, it also means Bear finally has the chance to break that cycle and find what every dog deserves: stability, safety, and a true forever home that won’t let him slip away again. Bear is dog friendly and good with children. He’ll do best with a secure yard and an adopter who appreciates an intelligent dog and is happy to provide structure, guidance, and positive outlets. With kindness, consistency, and a home that understands him, Bear is ready to trade the uncertainty of his past for a life where he’s truly wanted — for good. Story
Major Mally is an all-around amazing boy! Smart is an understatement; he is very easy to train and likes to please! He knows heel (leash walking), a stop command, off, touch, sit, and down. Major is reported to be house-trained and to have previously lived with other dogs with no issue. He is playful and funny with children, but at 80 pounds, he can knock little ones over just because he's not aware of his size. Major would thrive with an active person/family. He is the perfect running/walking partner & playmate. He would excel at agility, dock diving, etc, as he is so smart & eager to please, but not hyper like a purebred Belgian Shepherd. The best of both worlds! Major is 3 years old & 80lbs. If you'd like to find out more about making this gorgeous pup a member of your family & to see whether (s)he would be a good fit in your home, please fill out our adoption form here: https://airtable.com/shrlL2pbqSGTRJiyc *If you live in rented accommodation, please familiarise yourself with the property management's pet policy.
