Story
This handsome boy is Anubis! He arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on 11/14, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. The volunteers have enjoyed getting to know Anubis, and describe him as friendly, easy going, and intelligent. Shepherds are working dogs and he'll benefit from an active family who will spend time keeping him physically and mentally stimulated. Anubis is approximately 5 years old, and weighs 59 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Anubis in kennel 84; his ID # is 15075. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Story
Meet Amber Leah – Loyal, Smart & Ready for Home Amber Leah is a 2–3-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and resilience. She’s 56 lbs, gaining strength every day, and showing her playful, loyal spirit. Amber is house-trained, crate-comfortable, and enjoys toys, bones, and staying close to her people. She already knows how to sit, stay, and shake, down, wait and she’s eager to keep learning. She loves quiet time on the couch just as much as playtime in the yard. She has Pancreatic Enzyme Insufficiency (PEI), a common GSD condition that simply requires an enzyme with each meal—an easy routine that helps her thrive. Amber would do best as the only pet, though with slow introductions she can live with another dog. She’s still practicing leash manners and learning to relax around other dogs. Her ideal home is probably a calmer suburban setting with a privacy fence, but with the right person and structure she can thrive anywhere. Amber Leah is spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find her forever family. If you’ve ever loved a German Shepherd, you know how deep that bond can be—Amber is ready to share it with you. Apply to adopt Amber Leah today.  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Meet Marley – A Loyal Heart Looking for a Confident Leader! Marley is a beautiful shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger desire to please the people she trusts. She’s house-trained, well-mannered in the home, and gets along with other dogs and older children. True to her breed, Marley is intelligent, observant, and eager to learn — she just needs the right person to help her shine. Marley can be a little unsure in new situations and is sensitive to loud noises, so she’ll do best in a calm, predictable environment with someone experienced with shepherds or confident handling large breeds. She thrives on structure, enrichment, and gentle leadership that helps her build trust and confidence. Marley loves her meals but can be a bit protective of her food, so a family that understands boundaries and positive training will help her feel secure. In return, she’ll reward you with loyalty, love, and the joy of watching her blossom into her best self. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will give her whole heart once she feels safe, Marley may just be the perfect match. Please note, we receive a large number of applications.
