We are rehoming her due to human health issues in our household, and we will miss her dearly.Katy is:• House trained and well-behaved indoors• Healthy with no allergies or medical issues• Used to being bathed and loves to be brushed• Calm with cats and small dogs• Protective but warms up to new friends quicklyKaty loves walks of any length but can feel anxious around busy roads, trucks, buses, and thunderstorms. Relda is a Belgiun Shepherd/ Blue Healer mix.1 yo. Aug 16. Housebroken & enjoys her crate with door open or closed. She practices Sit, Stay, Wait, Down, Place, Free & Find. Accepts other animals when introduced properly. Very quick to learn new behaviors. Relda is learning manners such as not allowed on furniture, no counter surfing/begging, waiting at door or gate before I give the okay and doesn’t charge food dish. House mates are an 11 yo St. Bernard mix, a 5 yo Cat, a 25 yo parrot. They get along very well. Completed basic training course.Walks on a harness & responds very well. Relda would be great with an active family or single adventurer who can expand her athletic abilities, maybe Fly-ball or Agility? She loves to please anyone who will teach her confidence, go on hiking/camping adventures, walk around the neighborhood, dog parks and she will be happy wherever you are. I am 73, aging quicker than expected. Consider making Relda a new addition to your family.

Meet Brownie! 👑🐾 Brownie is a 1½-year-old, 42-pound Shepherd mix who is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and absolutely convinced the world revolves around her! ❤️ And honestly… she may have a point. 😉 Brownie’s story began when someone found her as a puppy in South Texas in horrible condition. She was covered in fleas and ticks, frightened, and in desperate need of help. Thankfully, her finders took her in and gave her a chance. But as Brownie grew, so did her puppy energy. Her family realized they weren’t prepared for the energy and needs of a young dog and considered taking her to the pound. Rather than allow this sweet girl to face an uncertain future, they chose to surrender her to a wonderful sanctuary where she would be safe. Brownie has now been at the sanctuary for seven months, and sadly, no one has chosen her yet. And it’s absolutely no fault of her own. 💔 Brownie is a wonderful girl who is ready for a family that will appreciate her big personality, give her plenty of love, and keep her busy with all the things she enjoys. 👑 Meet the Diva Brownie is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and definitely knows what she wants! She’s a smart young girl who just needs a family willing to continue helping her learn. Millie is a sweet female German Shepherd mix born about August, 2024. She’s a really good girl, and has many, many wonderful traits. She is fully house trained, and lets you know when she needs to go outside. She is crate trained, leash trained, and easy to groom. She is very gentle around food,  and is never assertive or aggressive about anything. Millie is friendly with larger dogs, unknown with small dogs and cats. She loves bones, but doesn’t understand toys—that will be a fun thing to teach her! Loves car rides. Millie is being treated for heartworm, and comes with the rest of the medicine to finish treatment. She’s perfectly happy and healthy and on her way to being heartworm free. Little Man is believed to be a Black Mouth Cur/German Shepherd mix born about January, 2025. He is very attached to his foster family. He prefers to sleep on their bed or on a dog bed right beside them. Black Mouth Curs are believed to be the inspiration behind “Old Yeller”. Little Man gets along with all other dogs, cats and is safe with children. He is leash trained and house trained, a very good dog. Interestingly, he was a stray in a neighborhood, but unlike some strays, was liked and cared for by people. They left out food and water for him, and he never did anything wrong—no digging, chewing, barking, or other disruptive behavior. Our rescue took him in to find him a home because we were concerned about him getting hit by a car on the busy road. Also, because this sweet boy needs a warm place to sleep in the winter, and people of his own to fully bond with. Little Man is neutered and has been brought up to date on all vaccines and health care.
