If you are interested in adopting this dog, please download and complete an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Apollo Creed (CRE0923SOPMD)Estimated Breed:  Belgian Shepherd MixApproximate Age: 10 monthsApproximate Weight:  30 lbs Currently Living at:  FosterAdoption Fee:  $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Apollo Creed is hoping that 2024 will be a new beginning for him in his forever home. Just like Apollo Creed he is charismatic, intelligent and handsome. Even though he is in a foster home with lots of dogs of all sizes and ages and does fine, he would prefer to be the only dog in the home as he is very affectionate and likes to get all of the attention. Small kids make him a bit nervous so no kids under 12 for this handsome ham. He will need and active home with an adopter that is familiar with his breed, no apartments/condos pls. Apollo Creed is extremely intelligent, loves structure and is very food motivated. He also knows how to use a doggy door and he rides really well in the car. Please remember that young dogs require a lot of time, love, patience, and socialization to become the best canine citizens they can be. Could yours be the home of Apollo Creed's dreams? Submit an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org.Sponsor Me! Story
We do not promote any of our dogs as house trained or allergy friendly. Griffey is approximately 2 years old, 50lbs, all black Belgian Shepherd/Malinois/Beagle mix according to his brother's DNA. He's fully vetted and fixed, very athletic, loyal, and once he knows you, very affectionate. He's incredibly smart and does well following commands, making him a great candidate for obedience training. He is excellent with other dogs, walks very well on leash; cats unknown. He hasn’t been around children younger than 15 and given his uncertainty around new things, fast moving and unpredictable children may not be best suited for him. Griffey is protective of his household and its parameters and will need proper, consistent and committed training to overcome his stranger danger. When considering a dog like Griffey, his potential adopters need to visit with him a few times so Griffey gets acquainted with them. He's absolutely amazing and we can't say enough good things about him, that doesn't change the fact that he's a "project" dog. He will take time to trust his new owner so don't expect a lab with a happy wagging tail at first meet and greet. In case we didn't emphasize this enough, he is AMAZING with the right guardian. Think you can handle the cuteness and the chaos? Ready to commit to training this amazing pup, then head on to our online application by pasting this link into your browser: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd

Story
Budley is a very handsome male, 2 yr old (DOB:10/27/21) Belgian Shepherd Dog(Malinois) mix. Budley was adopted as a young pup and lived inside a home with a cat for his friend and a teenage boy who adored him. Sadly, he lost his home during a divorce and was 1 hr away from being dumped after multiple attempts to find a shelter for him. A group effort of rescuers saved Budley and he is a fantastic dog! Budley sits on command and was already house, crate & leash trained. He has been vetted, microchipped is on heartworm prevention. He had to gain weight before he is neutered but that will happen very soon. This dog is so playful! He LOVES to play fetch, chasing after a toy but playing keep away when you try to get the toy back. He loves people and wants to play with other dogs. Although he is a XL dog, he would be a great family dog but may accidentally knock over small children. would prefer a family with kids 12 and up.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mocha is a 4 y o red and black spayed female German Shepherd. She is up to date on vaccines and weights about 100 lbs but needs to lose a few pounds. Mocha is very social and gives kisses upon greeting. She is a sweet girl but is an assertive dog. She will need a confident, but not a dominant handler. Mocha will benefit from continued training to include basic obedience, exposure, and socialization, will allow her to become a stable and confident dog who will be comfortable in any situation. Mocha has a high prey drive—no squirrel will be safe! She was not reactive to other dogs in the test neighborhood. Mocha rides well in the car and enjoys the water and swimming. Her perfect home would be one without cats, older children, and an only dog. We are looking for an experienced adopter who understands breed and temperament. An adopter who will commit to necessary training and truly wants to work to expand their knowledge and experience while working to shape behavior into a stable and confident German Shepherd. If you have experience with the breed, are looking to spend time working and training a beautiful dog who already has some wonderful qualities, we would love to answer any questions you might have about Mocha. Please visit http://bit.ly/Adoption-TRD for information about our adoption process. Inquiries for additional information can be sent toinfo@trainingresscues.org. Please be aware, meet and greets are only scheduled for approved adopters.       Please either check back for updates or email us for more information.  Please visit http://bit.ly/Adoption-TRD for information about our adoption process. ***Training Rescue Dogs is different from other rescues in the following ways: (1) training is required with one of our approved trainers under the adoption contract and (2) the rescue will match the adopter with the most appropriate dog for the respective family situation. The training requirement is with one of the Rescue’s approved trainers. The training contract is between the adopter and the trainer and is not included in the adoption fee and must be signed prior to or at the time of adoption. Each foster dog is evaluated by an experienced, professional behaviorist. The Rescue does this in order to understand the temperament of the dog and also to be able to match the dog with the best possible family. Meet and greets are only scheduled for approved adopters. All of our dogs are living in private foster homes so we attempt to minimize disruptions to our foster families by limiting meetings to those have completed the application process and been approved. Training Rescue Dogs does require follow-on training with an approved trainer for the dog and the new family. Training is important to establish leadership and a bond with the dog. A trainer will be identified by the rescue based on the needs of the individual dog.  The adoption fee for Training Rescue Dogs, Inc is $450.
