This young German Shepherd mix has already written himself quite the comedy script. Picture this: a scrappy little wanderer roaming the streets of Palestine, TX, working up the courage to approach a stranger at a gas station. His sweet face looked up and he asked for help—and jackpot! The nice man popped him into his truck, and our pup promptly passed out for eight solid hours. That’s right, eight hours. He snoozed so hard you’d think he was auditioning for a mattress commercial. When he woke up, surprise! He was in a foster home with new friends, toys, and all the belly rubs he could dream of. Since then, he’s been making up for lost time with turbo-charged puppy energy: running, fetching, chewing, and barking like he’s got his own talk show. He’s especially fond of tug-of-war and wrestling—basically, if it’s rowdy, he’s in. Food is still a big deal for him (hey, when you’ve had to fight for scraps, you don’t just forget). He’s learning to share, but let’s be honest—food is delicious and worth fighting for! With a little training, though, he’ll be the perfect gentleman at mealtime. This is really hard for me, and I’m looking for the right home for Zeus. My current health issues are making it difficult to continue caring for him. My sweet dog, Zeus, is in need of a new home. He is a working line German Shepherd. His parents were both working and show line. Zeus is the typical hyperactive WL GSD and needs a strong, confident leader who will maintain a routine with him. He is highly intelligent and picks up on new tricks and training incredibly fast. Zeus has been professionally trained by Art of the Dog, and knows multiple commands like heel, sit, come, down, go get the ball, find it, leave it, get in (for the car), and bedtime. He is allergic to chicken and currently on Apoquel. He gets along great with cats and other dogs in the home. He does fantastic in group daycare, dog parks, and boarding. He does have some anxiety and takes Trazadone to help. He is good on leash with a confident leader, otherwise he will push your boundaries.

Roxie was a rescue dog who had been with me for about 6 years. When it was just the two of us she was great, no problems, but since moving in to a full household with 2 young children and another dog, she has become very anxious and insecure. I am working 2 jobs now and don't have the time to spend with her. She was abused before I got her and still is very skittish. She gets along with females better than males as far as people. She's nipped at some men but had never bitten anyone. She leaves the babies alone. She really needs a calm, caring small home where she can have the attention that I can't give to her anymore. She is constantly hiding in the bathtub or under the bed or anywhere she can fit. She is afraid of everything. She loves to run and will bark at other dogs, but she isn't sure how to play with them. She's a sweet girl who needs a lot of attention and patience.

Because of his easygoing nature, he could do well in either a house or an apartment setting as long as he gets regular walks and exercise.When he’s not out adventuring, Nemo enjoys soaking up the sunshine, staying close to his people, and handing out hugs.
