Koda is a young German Shepherd mix with a BIG personality! He was wandering the streets of Palestine when he finally approached a man at a gas station for help. The man brought him home, and Koda promptly slept for 8 hours straight! Now that he’s safe in foster, he’s making up for lost time with plenty of puppy energy! He loves fetch, tug-of-war, wrestling and zoomies and keeps his foster family entertained. Koda is also learning that food doesn’t have to be something he worries about. He can be protective of his food, so he’ll need continued training and a family willing to help him learn good mealtime manners. He’s looking for a patient, active family who will give him plenty of love, exercise and guidance. Koda is in foster and ready to find his forever home! Story
Lucky was adopted 6 months ago he’s one years old. He is a big cuddle bug and loves playing. He walks on a leash like a pro, fully house trained, and will do anything for a treat. Kennel trained, that’s where he sleeps. He needs owners that are able to give him lots of exercise and plenty of snuggles. He thinks he’s a lap dog, doesn’t know his size and will want to sit in your lap. He lives in a house with cats, another smaller dog and kids. We will miss his sweet face and gentle personality. Unfortunately we are moving and they don’t allow big dogs.

Cash came to the rescue when the shelter sent him to have his fractured leg amputated at our vet clinic. He had been shot, and we have no idea of the other abuse he had suffered, but he is initially afraid of new men (fine once he learns they mean him no harm). While he is not an aggressive boy, he acts as if he could tear into someone, which can be off-putting. He is fine with women, loving, outgoing, and cuddly, especially with his foster mom. We are helping him work onhis fear, which can/will be resolved with patience and TLC.Cash lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone, large and small. He is playful and happy, can be as gentle or rough as needed, depending on who he is playing with. He walks fine on a leash and is good at going for rides when he gets a chance.He is crate trained and asks to go out if needed between potty breaks. He generally has good house manners, except when he counter-surfs for food when the opportunity presents itself.Cash is fully vetted, current with vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Skye is approximately eight months old and 50 lbs. as of 9/1/26. She was picked up as a stray by a kind citizen who was unable to locate her owner. Now we're helping them find Skye a new loving family to adopt her. She's house and crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and will be spayed very soon. Skye does well with other dogs and is very playful and energetic. She's likely too much energy for very small children. She would benefit from active owner who has time to give her plenty of exercise.  Skye's adoption fee is $275 and you can apply to meet/adopt her here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted.
