ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13448Adoption Fee Covered + Free Training!Great news! Rebekah's adoption fee has been fully covered by a generous supporter, and OPH is including six virtual training sessions with a certified trainer during the first 60 days to help set you both up for success!Name: RebekahGender: FemaleBreed: German Shepherd x Mixed BreedAge: 4 years oldWeight: 55 lbsCurrent Location: Alexandria, VAAbout Rebekah - Your Loyal, Loving Adventure Buddy!Rebekah is a 4-year-old, 55 lb sweetheart who is looking for her forever home! She’s a local celebrity, strutting her stuff on WMAR-2 News’ Pets on Set segment! and stole the show! Her most iconic features? Her bat ears and her absolute love for humans and kiddos! PersonalityIf you’re looking for a dog who adores her people, Rebekah is your girl! She is incredibly affectionate and she’s happiest when she’s by your side, soaking up pets and love. She’s also food-motivated and eager to please, making her a great candidate for continued training. She is fully house- and crate-trained - in fact, she sleeps soundly for 9 hours in her crate without making a peep (and will happily go in for a treat!).Energy LevelRebekah is a chameleon! During the weekdays, she loves chewing a bully-stick or sleeping while her foster mom works from home. At night, she will happily “Netflix and chill.” On weekends, she will happily join you on a trail walk or a “sniffari” around the neighborhood before settling in. Check out her recent foster-family adventures! Skills and TrainingShe walks well on a leash most of the time—just a little zig-zagging here and there! Like many pups, she’s very curious about squirrels and other critters on walks, but who isn’t?! She’s a car ride enthusiast and would love to be your road trip buddy! She knows “sit” and “crate” in her foster home. She can be a bit of a rascal - she’s a bit of a countersurfer (tall girl perks!) and likes to jump up for affection. With her intelligence and love for treat, she will continue to work on training in her foster home!CompanionshipRebekah can be a choosy with her dog friends, so she will need slow introductions in any new household. In a previous foster home, she lived with her bestie: a 60-lb male lab-mix. He found his forever home and she’s just waiting on hers! Love and AffectionThis sweetheart adores her people! She thrives on structure and routine. She is currently on prescription medications that help her live her best and happiest life – just like many humans! She will shower you with love and affection in her forever home. If you’re looking for an affectionate, fun-loving companion who will be your shadow and your best friend, Rebekah is waiting to meet you!Included Veterinary Care:✔ Visit to veterinarian for health certificate✔ Up to date on vaccinations✔ Spayed✔ Microchipped✔ Heartworm preventative✔ Flea & tick preventative✔ Worm/parasite treatments

Story
Tessa is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Are you looking for a gorgeous shepherd working breed dog? Look no further than Tessa! Tessa originally lived with a family in a townhouse in Alexandria. Unfortunately, due to their limited space and inability to provide her with adequate exercise during her early years, she developed significant pent-up energy and struggled with reactivity, particularly toward other dogs. Tessa has been through a formal training program with one of our trusted trainers, and is now looking for an adopter who can take over her management tools, exercise routines, and structured training. Tessa deserves a family that she will be able to share a lifetime of happiness with. With the help of her training, she has been successful in playing with other dogs after proper, slow introductions. However, we would recommend that she be the only dog in the home. Tessa is bright, beautiful, and oh-so fun to work with. If you're interested in meeting Tessa, or learning more about her, please don't hesitate to reach out! ATTRIBUTES: Tessa would do well as the only dog in the home. Tessa does well with other dogs outside of the home. —------------- Laila’s Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ • Rescue Story : Meet Jinyea👋 This laid-back sweetheart was found wandering alone on a street in South Korea when she was just three months old. Sadly, she ended up in a high-risk shelter and on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, the rescue team stepped in just in time, giving her a second chance at life. After spending over two years in a private shelter, Jinyea moved into her loving foster home in December 2024. Now, she’s ready to find her forever family! • Personality: Affectionate, Adaptable, Calm Jinyea is a total lovebug—gentle and sweet with everyone she meets. While she might need a little extra time to warm up to men, all she really wants are some good pets! She’s also one of the most easygoing pups you’ll meet, with a mid-to-low energy level. At home, she’s happiest resting and taking it easy. Her resilient nature means she adjusts quickly to new environments, so she’ll likely settle into her forever home without a hitch. • Affinity with -Cats: She's curious about cats when she sees them on walks. -Dogs: Well-mannered and submissive around other dogs. She gets along well with the resident dog in her foster home. -Adults/Kids: Good with adults. For men, she might need a little extra time to warm up. / Not much interested in kids during walks • Housetrained: She's fully housebroken and does her business both indoors (pee pads) and outdoors. • Walking Manner: This girl is a dream on a leash—she walks gently and matches your pace. • Shedding: 5-7 • Food Allergies: No • Car Rides: Good • Barker or Quiet: She's very quiet most of the time except when she hears suspicious sounds outside the door. • Separation Anxiety: She howls for a few minutes right after her most intimate person goes outside and rests calmly. This gets better as she learns the family routine. • Bathing/Brushing: She's a champ when it comes to baths and brushing! • Likes & Dislikes: She likes to play with a ball! She adores snuggling up with cozy blankets and cushions. / Not a fan of being left alone!

To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events* Hi, I'm Frank! I have been told that I am such a good boy! I love everybody! I'm housetrained, and I'll be fine while you are away at work. I know sit, down, paw, roll. My favorite thing in the world is playing with my toys. I'm an excellent squeaker extractor and can chew up tennis balls like there's no tomorrow. But don't worry, I know my stuff from yours, so your shoes are safe around me. What I really want is for you to throw a ball so I can catch it. That never gets old. A nice yard to play in would be perfect. I love walks and am great meeting other dogs. I sometimes get a bit excited, but it's just because I want to say hello. Another dog in the house would be fine. I have food allergies, so I'm on a special dog food and a daily allergy pill. Just toss the pill in my food, and I'll gobble it up. I'm so easy! I'm just a happy dog who's looking forward to meeting you!

At 69lbs, she’s full of energy and affection. Denise absolutely loves squeaky toys, tennis balls, and tug-of-war, making her the perfect playtime companion. She adores being around people and is always eager to join in on the fun—but she’s also content to wait quietly for your return. Denise has learned some basic commands like sit, shake, and down. Denise has a big heart for kids and loves to be around them. She's fully house-trained and crate-trained for road trips, where she does wonderfully in motels. Her ideal home is one without cats, as she’s not fond of them, but she gets along well with other dogs. She's looking for a loving family that will continue to help her learn and grow, offering her the happy life she truly deserves.
