Story
House trained: Mostly, with an occasional accident Energy level: Medium Noise level: Quiet My foster guardian says: My favorite thing about Ozzy is the hilarious way he stretches! Hes a total yogi! Likes: Hiking, riding in the car, snuggles Hi there, Im Ozzy! My foster family describes me as a lovebug, and a real gem. Im a very sweet, gentle boy who loves his people, and takes life as it comes. Ive had some tough times in life, and all that has made me a little shy and unsure of new people. I take a little time to warm up, and I can be a nervous guy with certain things. I dont love loud, scary noises or stairs, or strangers. I think its crazy that some dogs are thrilled to have random people petting them. Not me! I like to stay close to the people I know are safe, at least until I feel more comfortable. Im a very well-behaved guy, and I do a great job in my crate, at daycare, and hanging out at home. I already know sit, 'down', and 'come', and Im good on leash too. I like to take my time on walks, stopping to smell the roses, and maybe even taste one too. I love going for hikes with my foster family, and spending time outside. Its not a must, but I'd love it if my forever family had a yard! I love being with my people, and getting all the pets from them. My foster mom says that one of the cutest things I do is stopping in front of her on walks to get pets and attention. Even when Im out having a blast, I still want to make sure she knows I love her! I live with doggy foster siblings, and we get along great. I love to play with them, and hang out together as a pack. I think it would be awesome to have another dog in my forever family too! Rumor has it that Im also good with cats. I basically just ignore them, which turns out to be their ideal! I cant wait to meet my forever family, and start sharing all my love with them! If youre looking for a super handsome, loyal, loving pup to add to your pack, look no further! Apply to adopt me today! Story
House trained: Yes Energy level: High Noise level: Quiet My foster guardian says: My favorite thing about Betty Boop is what a sweet, happy pup she is! Likes: playing with other dogs, playing fetch, going for walks Hi, Im Betty Boop! Or just Boop, which youve got to admit is a pretty adorable nickname. Almost as cute as me! Im a sweet, silly, playful, happy girl who loves being with my people and puppy friends! My foster family joke that I have FOMO, because I want to be a part of absolutely everything that is happening around the house! If people (or pups) that I love are doing something, thats where I want to be too! I just moved to D.C., so Im still learning that the big city isnt so scary. New things (like loud noises and storm drains) make me a little nervous, but Im gaining confidence every day! My foster family says that once I warm up, I couldnt be a friendlier, sweeter girl! They also think that as I settle into this new life of mine, Ill come out of my shell more and more and be a little less nervous about new things. Im a smart girly, and eager to please. Im good in my crate, and I already know a few tricks, like sit, and come, and Im working on down too. Im also good on leash, so long as nothing I see on my walk startles me. Im practicing walking past scary stuff calmly, and getting better at it every day. I love to play with other dogs, and would love having a doggy sibling in my forever family. Living with another pup who loves to play as much as I do would be so fun! I currently live with two doggy foster siblings who dont really share my passion for wrestling, which is something Im learning to accept. I mean, I dont understand why someone wouldnt want to play 24/7, but I accept it! If youre looking for a funny, smart, cutie pie of a pup who will be your shadow (well, at least until it's time to go play), and give you all the love in the world, Im your Betty! Boop that red button, and apply to adopt me today! Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!

Story
Tessa is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Are you looking for a gorgeous shepherd working breed dog? Look no further than Tessa! Tessa originally lived with a family in a townhouse in Alexandria. Unfortunately, due to their limited space and inability to provide her with adequate exercise during her early years, she developed significant pent-up energy and struggled with reactivity, particularly toward other dogs. Tessa has been through a formal training program with one of our trusted trainers, and is now looking for an adopter who can take over her management tools, exercise routines, and structured training. Tessa deserves a family that she will be able to share a lifetime of happiness with. With the help of her training, she has been successful in playing with other dogs after proper, slow introductions. However, we would recommend that she be the only dog in the home. Tessa is bright, beautiful, and oh-so fun to work with. If you're interested in meeting Tessa, or learning more about her, please don't hesitate to reach out! ATTRIBUTES: Tessa would do well as the only dog in the home. Tessa does well with other dogs outside of the home. —------------- Laila’s Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. To learn more about Odin, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Odin will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Odin is a big, goofy puppy with a heart of gold. He loves people, enjoys meeting other dogs, and is happiest when he’s playing with toys—especially balls—or soaking up attention from his humans. After a fun-filled day, he settles nicely and turns into a sweet snuggle bug, often climbing up on the couch to be close and ask for affection (sometimes with an enthusiastic “hug”). Like many young dogs, Odin is still learning his manners and doesn’t always realize how big he is. He plays with lots of enthusiasm and would benefit from continued routine and socialization, but he’s treat-motivated, gentle-hearted, and eager to learn. He’s also doing well with potty training and will let you know when he needs to go outside. Odin would thrive in a home ready for an energetic, loving puppy who needs patience, structure, and plenty of opportunities to burn off energy. In return, he’ll give you endless affection, loyalty, and laughs. This handsome goober truly deserves a home that will help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.

Story
Meet Cliff Cliff is a sweet and affectionate boy who loves nothing more than leaping into your lap for snuggles and love. He's playful and full of joy, especially when there's water involved - he enjoys splashing in the pool or running through the sprinkler on a sunny day! Cliff and his brother have the best time playing hide-and-seek behind the couch and chasing each other in happy circles. Cliff was born in a foster home to his mom Susie. Cliff and his siblings are 4.5 months old, born on June 24th. Cliff would make a wonderful companion for an active family who can match his playful spirit and give him plenty of love. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup to fill your home with joy, Cliff is ready to make a splash into your heart!
