Story
Max is a great dog I wouldn’t ever thought this be an option for us, to re-home him. He is 4years on December 25th 2025. I’ve never had an issue with him he is a very loving and affectionate. always rubbing on my legs wants to be pet, kissed. always follows you, has proven to be very protective only when we take night walk. He gets alerted to by passers but never attacks only watches. Day time he’s the most loving happy and goofy. I am very impressed of his ability to outsmart us sometimes. We are moving homes and just can’t afford a bigger place or landlords don’t want big dogs in their homes. It’s been impossible to find something. we also work a lot, both hubby and I. He loves going out for walks but is an inside dog. Loves cuddles, hugs and cute talking. Another great thing about him is if you have him outside good space area for more than 3hrs a day he will always go poop in the same spot for ever and as far away possible. He has his space here but we are moving.😫😭

Story
About Capone Belgian Shepherd Malinois Capone is believed to be approximately 3 years old. Capone came into the shelter after being abandoned in a dog park. He had several medical issues that needed attention. His coat was in awful condition, and his tail had no hair. Capone received the love and attention he deserved and needed, and has since made a full recovery. Capone is intelligent and figures things out quickly. He knows some basic obedience, but will need to start training with his new family immediately. Capone has some unique quirks that will require attention. He will need an owner who will be a strong leader for him. He will need to have firm boundaries established by someone who can be strict but also very loving. Potential adopters are strongly advised to do their research on the breed and/or have previously owned a Malinois. They are a very active breed that will require a great deal of exercise, training, and mental stimulation. Capone is looking for a person who will love him as much as he would love them. Capone has so much love to offer and absolutely loves attention. He is a real goofy guy once you get to know him. Capone would rather be petted, loved and talked to than play! He is all about getting attention and will go great lengths to get it. Capone is the definition of unconditional love. Capone is in need of a home with no cats or small dogs. He seems to be selective as to how he reacts to other dogs. He will also need a secure yard with a 6-foot fence. Capone is required to have an in-home visit prior to being adopted. This great pup weighs 77 lb. Considerations In need of a 6-foot fenced-in yard

Story
I was pulled from El Campo Animal Control, along with my puppies, because I had delivered a litter of six pups in the shelter. SPOT had been contacted by the finder, who lives in Eagle Lake area, and gave her resources to help rehome the momma and older puppy. The finder lied to ECAC in order to get them into the shelter, where it was discovered she was VERY pregnant. Email help@wcspot.org for adoption information.

Story
**About Mini:** Thank you for your interest in adopting Mini. Please know that Mini is an international rescue through Taiwan. When your application is approved, you will need to pick her up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, IAH, YVR, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process for many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Mini's Rescue Story Personality: Mini is absolutely the most perfect FMD (Formosan Mountain Dog) we have ever encountered. No word describes her better than "perfect." Mini was once tied up with a heavy chain outside a house. The house was empty—no one lived there. The owner had simply tied Mini and another dog there, often leaving them without food or water. Since both dogs were chained and unable to forage, they could only bark for help. It was these barks that a member of our rescue organization heard while passing by. The rescuer tried to find the owner but quickly realized the house was abandoned. Neighbors said the owner only came by occasionally. Because the dogs were chained on private property right by the door, the rescuers couldn't take them immediately, so they committed to bringing them food every day. One day, the rescuer saw Mini wandering outside alone. Unsure why she had been abandoned, Mini was just moving aimlessly, sniffing for food, and even approaching people for attention. When she saw the rescuer from a distance, Mini recognized her. She quickly ran over and immediately lay on the ground, rolling onto her belly to show affection. Knowing Mini had been deliberately abandoned, the rescuer took her home immediately. What makes Mini so incredible is how incredibly smart and friendly she is. She immediately learned to use pee pads indoors and was accurate every time. Her calm, non-confrontational, and incredibly optimistic personality means she gets along wonderfully with people (including children), cats, and other dogs! Mini's rescuer summarizes her by saying: "Goofy, great natured, and very easy to care for." This perfect personality makes her an ideal match for both first-time and experienced families. Mini spent her early life chained up and hungry. Now, she is ready to find her forever home—a home that can give her the warmth and love she has always deserved. Story
Hi, I’m Easton! I’m a gentle soul who enjoys being around both people and other dogs. I like attention and companionship — I just need a little time to feel safe and comfortable. Once I do, my sweet personality really starts to shine. I walk nicely on a leash and I’m potty trained, so I already have some great manners. I do best with someone who is patient and willing to let me move at my own pace, giving me the reassurance I need as I build confidence. If you’re looking for a kind, dog-friendly companion who just needs a calm, understanding home to help him feel secure, I’d love the chance to meet you. I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo! Our first meeting/interview for adoption occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Apply to adopt me at https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/BRAZ/27759-long-distance-adopt-app. If you have questions, please email jami@spcabc.org.
