Courtesy Post. To apply for Red please visit Northwest Rescue Collective, www.northwestrescuecollective.com Adoption Fee $250 Red — a quiet soul looking for his person 🐾 Red is a sensitive boy who’s still trying to make sense of the world around him. Found wandering the streets, it’s clear life hasn’t always been easy—but he’s safe now, and starting the slow process of learning that people can be kind. Right now, Red is very shy, anxious, and unsure in new situations. He keeps to himself and needs time and space to feel safe—but underneath it all is a dog who just needs patience and someone willing to meet him where he’s at. 🐾 What we know about Red: Very shy, timid, and easily overwhelmed Anxious with new people and environments Not yet trained—will need structure and consistency Currently decompressing and learning to trust Dog, cat, and kid compatibility unknown 🏡 Ideal home: Red will do best in a calm, quiet home with a patient, experienced adopter—ideally someone familiar with working breeds like Belgian Malinois. He’ll need routine, gentle guidance, and a low-traffic environment where he can build confidence at his own pace. Red isn’t a plug-and-play dog. But for the right person, he has real potential. With time and understanding, he could become an incredibly loyal, deeply bonded companion. If you’re the kind of person who understands that trust takes time—and is willing to give it—Red is waiting. 🖤 Red is neutered, microchipped and has his DHPP and Rabies vaccines. Red is being fostered through Back Home Terrace Heights in Yakima, WA

Story
Animal Profile: Looking for a partner in crime? Meet Felon! He's a neutered male Belgian Malinois that is around 18 months old, 55 lbs, and is ready for a person to call his own. Despite his menacing name, this boy is a bundle of joy in a svelte package. Felon loves to go at full speed and would be a fantastic companion for someone looking to get into dog sports -- dock diving, barn hunt, IPO -- he wants a shot to shine! In typical Malinois form, he is highly intelligent, loyal, and athletic. He shows moderate food drive and high toy drive and is an exceptionally quick learner. He does have an off switch and is content to chill on place command with a stuffy toy, or in his crate. Felon is very friendly meeting new people and has lived with other dogs as well as cats, but will be best in a cat-free home. Felon has a strong grasp of basic obedience training including recall, place and loose leash walking. With this foundation he's ready to shine with a family dedicated to providing ongoing mental and physical stimulation, structure and leadership.  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Adopter Profile: Large breed dog experience required Working breed dog experience preferred Other dogs of similar size OK No small dogs or cats Secure fenced yard preferred Interest in training/dog sports  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, and microchip with lifetime registration. Felon's adoption will include a go-home training session to set his future family up for success. The adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non profit organization. Animal History: Felon was rescued from a chain in Baton Rouge Louisana by Trample Dog Rescue and taken in by The Good Dog, who relocated to Bellingham. He is currently being fostered by The Good Dog Way in Bellingham and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. Potential adopters will need to be available to meet Felon in Bellingham, WA.April 28, 2026, 2:59 pm

Story
**About Jamie:** Jamie is an international rescue all the way from Taiwan. While "international adoption" might sound like a major undertaking, we have years of experience streamlining this process to make it as smooth as possible. We’ll be right by your side to explain every step! The Journey Home Once your application is approved, the final step of Jamie’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking her up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include: West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX, YVR. East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH Meet Jamie: The Wiggle-Hip Wonder! Jamie is a gentle soul who truly blossoms once she knows she’s safe. While she might start off a little shy, her "second impression" is unforgettable—once she recognizes you, she transforms into a bundle of joy, greeting you with a wagging tail and her signature "hip wiggle" dance. 🏠 Home Life & Manners Home Alone: Jamie is a dream when left alone. she does not suffer from separation anxiety and is not destructive. The Kitchen Rule: Because Jamie is a big fan of food, she’s a bit of an "aspiring snack thief." It’s important to keep counters clear and store dog-unfriendly foods (like chocolate) securely out of reach. Sleeping Habits: She is very adaptable! She is happy on a sofa, a floor mat, or an elevated bed. In her current foster home, she is successfully crate-trained for naps and bedtime. While she might try to sneak onto the big bed for morning cuddles, she is very obedient and will hop down if asked. Potty Training: Jamie is a pro at going potty outdoors. She is currently a "blank slate" regarding indoor pee pads, so she’ll do best with a family that can maintain her outdoor routine. 🍖 Food & Training People-Friendly: Jamie has zero food guarding with humans—you can even take a treat right from her mouth. Dog-Friendly: She eats peacefully around other dogs as long as everyone has their own space and bowl. Treat Tip: Jamie gets very enthusiastic about snacks! Because she can be a little "impatient" when taking treats from fingers, we recommend feeding her from an open palm or giving her a gentle "easy" reminder. 🚶 Walks & Adventures On the Leash: Jamie loves her walks. She gets so excited that she might try to beat you out the door! We recommend putting your shoes on before grabbing the leash. Once she settles into her pace, she is a steady walker and isn't bothered by squirrels, birds, or cats. Car Rides: She is an excellent passenger—no carsickness here! Water Fun: Jamie is very cooperative during baths and is unfazed by the sound of a hair dryer. She may try to pull her paws away during nail trims, but with a slow, patient hand, she does just fine. 🐕 Social Butterfly (On Her Own Terms) With Dogs: Jamie gets along well with other pups but prefers a "polite hello" (sniffing) over an immediate "puppy tackle." If a dog is too high-energy right away, she’ll give a small bark to set a boundary and then simply walk away. With People: She is a friend to everyone—men, women, children, and seniors alike. First Introductions: To win Jamie over, start low and slow. Instead of a big, enthusiastic approach, crouch down and let her come to you. Start with head pats, and before you know it, she’ll be leaning against your legs for more. 💪 Bravery Note Jamie is remarkably brave when it comes to loud noises. While most dogs hide from fireworks or loud "pops" (like a bug zapper), Jamie doesn’t bat an eye. She is one cool, collected girl! Is Jamie the missing piece to your family? If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and wiggle-prone companion, Jamie is ready to meet you!

Story
Hi, I’m Easton! I’m a gentle soul who enjoys being around both people and other dogs. I like attention and companionship — I just need a little time to feel safe and comfortable. Once I do, my sweet personality really starts to shine. I walk nicely on a leash and I’m potty trained, so I already have some great manners. I do best with someone who is patient and willing to let me move at my own pace, giving me the reassurance I need as I build confidence. If you’re looking for a kind, dog-friendly companion who just needs a calm, understanding home to help him feel secure, I’d love the chance to meet you. I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo! Our first meeting/interview for adoption occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Apply to adopt me at https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/BRAZ/27759-long-distance-adopt-app. If you have questions, please email jami@spcabc.org.
