Story
Bori is a super smart and athletic malinois/husky mix pup adopted from San Diego. She’s a sweetheart who loves to play frisbee and go on morning or afternoon runs. She needs a family with a big yard or with someone who is equally active in lifestyle to keep her stimulated. She gets along well with other dogs when off leash but not with small dogs or doodle mixes. She is a high anxiety dog so she needs someone who has experience specific to anxious dogs or shepherds.

Story
Hola! My name is Jalie - short for Jalapeño because I am a spicy young lass... My foster parents rescued me after i was abandoned at ~8 weeks of age. I am so lucky because my foster family is taking great care of me and training me to be a great dog for an active family. I get to ride in the golf cart, the car, the boat and run around with the neighborhood dogs. I am very playful, super smart and growing like a weed. My foster mom says that I am mostly Belgian Malinois so that means I am very smart and active. I need a family who will be sure to give me a job - I'd love to learn agility or even search and rescue. You know my nose is super sensitive and I sniff out everything. At my young age of ~14 weeks, I am already sleeping in my crate all night! I sit and down for treats and I am very good at sitting and waiting for my food. I am growing fast and will be a tall and lean girl with strong legs for hiking or running. One of my favorite things to do is jump on my foster dad when he isn't looking because I am practicing my leaping.Since I have been living with my foster family I do great with other dogs if introduced correctly - because I just want to play with all of them. I have met young children and I get very happy, but I haven't been around them much and haven't had a chance to interact with any cats, but at my young age I am adaptable. If you are looking for an intelligent, beautiful active dog - I just may be your girl. PS - I love my squeaky toys and enjoy hugs and kisses. To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.

*** MUST HAVE POWER BREED EXPERIENCE*** *** MUST HAVE FENCED YARD ***   NAME: GERARD WAY LITTER: GERARD is part of the "MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE" litter  AGE/GENDER: JUVENILE (born 8/05/2022), Male BREED: BELGIAN SHEPHERD MALINOIS TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous, headstrong, protective, territorial WEIGHT: 50ish lbs and growing HOUSE TRAINING: He's working on it still and doing great, but he can get a little excited.  CRATE TRAINING: Good, he is crate trained. OTHER DOGS: Good. He will need continued socialization, like all puppies! He is a dominant-type personality. CATS: No cats as he has a strong prey drive. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older - he is a maligator after all ADOPTION DONATION: $600 HEALTH: GERARD is doing well, but he came to us as a puppy who could not walk and was hospitalized for pyothorax as a young puppy. He has stunted growth and may not have the endurance of a typical healthy Malinois. Prior to adoption, puppies will be altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. HISTORY: Gerard Way came from a backyard breeder. He was unable to walk when he originally came to us. We worked with him and got him stronger and able to walk only to have tragedy strike as he succumbed to a lung infection. After emergent care and surgery, where it was touch and go, our miracle Malinois defied the odds.  NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: GERARD WAY is a puppy so he's playful and has a lot of puppy energy! He is super cute and fun, but a lot of work. His forever family should be committed to lots of training - obedience, housetraining, and socialization. This will ensure that GERARD grows into a confident, well behaved adult! Puppies' personalities are dependent on their environment, and the structure and training they are given, in addition to socialization. Their personalities continue to grow and be shaped by their new adoptive families. Puppy daycare and socialization classes or puppy kindergarten are highly recommended for their personal development. He will more than reward you for all your hard work with lots of love, loyalty, and laughs.   Gerard is a Malinois, which is a working breed of dog. These dogs need to be worked, mentally. They need a job. They are not a dog for a first-time dog owner. You cannot compare Malinois to a German Shepherd. Gerard requires an adopter with power breed experience. Someone who has worked with and trained power breed dogs. He would appreciate another dog playmate in the home. Gerard, while sometimes naughty since he is still very much a puppy, loves to train and will need an adopter who has training experience and someone who enjoys training and working with their dog. Gerard is a typical Maligator and is very mouthy, which is why he needs a home with older children. He is not a protection dog, as he is highly socialized to people due to his lengthy hospitalization and frequent vet care.   All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.   Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!   For more information, please visit www.motleyzoo.org.   Thank you for considering adopting a dog in need!   Woof,   The Motley Zoo CrewMay 28, 2023, 8:22 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Sansa is an estimated 8-month-old spayed female Malinois mix who is so itty bitty at just 28 lbs -- she has to be mixed with something smaller! She was taken in as a stray by Los Angeles Animal Services and transferred to our friends at Paws for Life K9 where she was assessed to be super friendly, sweet and social with all dogs and people. She's a young and smart girl who will blossom in foster care; we will share more as we get to know her.  Foster Update: Sansa is such a sweet, fun and trainable dog. After a rough start with crate/potty training she is doing great now! She is affectionate and playful, energetic and friendly. She does great with the resident dog and is learning basic obedience, walking on a leash, etc. She will be a great addition to an active person or family who wants a young, friendly, athletic and intelligent companion.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application&#226&#128&#139 Animal History: This dog was transferred from Paws for Life K9 Rescue in Los Angeles after being taken in as a stray to Los Angeles Animal Services. She will be arriving to DGS on May 3 and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care. May 28, 2023, 3:54 pm

Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. ALL our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Mallory - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Mallory is a beautiful 3-year-old Belgian Malinois blend who weighs approximately 70 pounds. Maybe since Mallory is a little older (and/or because of what she is mixed with) she is calmer than most Mals. She is a little leery when she meets new people, but once you pass her test, she will melt your heart with her sweetness. She strives to please. She loves to cuddle, play and even to be brushed. She needs to be in a home where she is very much a part of the family because she wants to be near her favorite person. She doesn't realize her size, as she loves to cuddle in bed if there is room. :)` Malinois' are not for everybody but in the right home they can make for a pawsome family member. A Belgian Malinois is an enthusiastic and quick dog with a natural tendency to always be in motion. This breed is demanding and needs an experienced owner. The Belgian Malinois is a very smart and obedient dog. They can have strong protective and territorial instincts. This breed needs extensive socialization from an early age, and firm, but not harsh, training. Belgians are instinctively protective so they should be trained and socialized very well from an early age. Unless you are specifically working in a protection sport, you do not need to give your Belgian any protection training, as it will come naturally to them. Belgians make excellent pets for the right homes, as they thrive on loving companionship. They instinctively display herding behavior such as chasing and circling, moving effortlessly for hours. Mallory needs a family that will keep her engaged with their activities, adventures and their everyday living routines. If she sounds like the perfect companion for you, please fill out her adoption application to make her a member of your family!!

Story
Meet Rocket, a 1 1/2-2 year old male Belgian Malinois/GSD mix who lives up to his name! He is a high energy working breed, and is looking for a loving and experienced forever home. In the right home he will thrive and be a wonderful companion! Rocket is as smart as a whip and quick to respond to corrections. So long as he gets enough exercise and stimulation, he can be left alone in a secure yard or indoors without getting into anything. Rocket has a lot of energy that he needs help channeling in the right ways, as typical working breeds do. Rocket has been taught to run with a bike and would love to run along side his owner while they go for a bike ride! He's still learning the right/left/stop commands but is making good progress with them. He would make a great hiking or running partner as well! He will require a GSD or Malinois experienced home, that knows how to train, exercise and work with the breed. Rocket sleeps soundly through the night. He'll play fetch with a ball and loves to play really intense tug of war. He's already picked up a bit of scent training, with truffle oil being the targeted scent. He's most comfortable inside by far and prefers to play and hang out indoors, but he has made a lot of progress with his confidence outside, and will play in the yard for a while now before asking to go back inside. Rocket is potty trained, microchipped, UTD on shots and neutered. Rocket can be reactive around other dogs and needs to the only dog in the home. With training and structure, over time his reactivity could improve. Due to his energy and breed, he needs a home with kids over 16 or adult only. No cats. You can apply for Rocket on our website. His adoption fee is $350.

What my friends at Seattle Humane say about me: · I enjoy being active and playing! Fetch is my favorite game and, of course, tennis balls are my favorite toy!· I'm a good girl in a quiet space with my people. I'll hang out with you or find games on my own!· According to my foster parent, I am a "goofy sweetheart!" · I enjoy food puzzles and exercising my brain!· I know some cool tricks! I'm getting pretty good at "sit," "shake," and "down." I'm starting to learn "spin." What else can you teach me?

Story
George is an adorable 4 month old puppy (currently weighs 18lbs). We have George listed as special needs due to his extreme shyness with unknown people and new situations. George does GREAT with other dogs, he not only loves them but gains confidence when around them, because of this we believe that George needs to be placed into a home with a resident dog(s). Though it takes a little bit of time George will certainly warm up to his people, he currently adores his foster mom, zoomies around the house and his foster doggie siblings. George is painfully shy when he leaves his home though will come around quickly if another dog is involved in the destination. George is crate trained though is struggling with being house broke unless taken out on a regular basis. George will be neutered before adoptionThis dog currently resides in Bandera, Tx. , We transport dogs to Washington State usually 2-3 times a month. Please understand that there is additional vetting, health certificates and costs involved with transporting a dog from Texas to Washington and our adoption fee is $500.00 which covers everything from the spay/neuter to the actual transport cost. *All of our dogs have tested Heart-worm negative and are on a monthly heart worm prevention protocol
