Story
Hello! We are looking to rehome our sweet Lucy. She was taken in by us about 6 years ago when she was only 7 months old. She is extremely cuddly and loves to play. Enjoys playing outside and has lots of energy. She is truly the sweetest girl. More recently our family has grown and we no longer have the time or space to give her the life she deserves.

Story
Hi, my name is Jamaica! I am approximately two years old and weigh 45 pounds. I’m a smart, social, and affectionate girl who absolutely loves her people and is ready to find a forever family of my own. My journey hasn’t been easy. I was found wandering a neighborhood after losing my way, and I was hit by a car. Thankfully, some amazing humans believed I was worth saving. They scraped together every nickel they had to get me the surgery and care I needed. After surgery and rehab, I healed beautifully — and I am truly good as new! I’m an athletic, working-breed type of girl, and an active lifestyle isn’t optional for me — it’s a must! Couch potato life just isn’t in my DNA. I would thrive with an active family who enjoys walks, hikes, adventures, and maybe even agility training (I’d love that!). I’m house trained, crate trained, walk well on leash, and I’ve already had some basic obedience training, so I know how to be a good canine citizen. I am happy to learn and eager to please. I love being out and about, exploring the world with my people. I would do best in an adult-only home or one with older children, as I haven’t been around little kids before. I get along well with other dogs and would be happy to have some fur friends. I haven’t been around cats, so my people are saying no feline roommates please. I am spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped — ready to go and ready to love. If you’re an active family looking for a loyal, resilient, and adventure-loving companion, I just might be your girl. Have your people contact my people — I can’t wait to meet you.

Story
a. She is a 9-year-old, spayed, healthy white dog, about 35 pounds, with a deeply loving and loyal heart. I found her 9 years ago in a trash bin between Georgia and Azerbaijan, and since then I have tried to carry her into a better life across countries and different chapters of my own life. She later came to Turkey, and a few months ago, she came to the U.S. She has her passport, vaccination records, and documents. She is incredibly people-oriented and forms very deep bonds. She is the kind of dog who loves her person with her whole heart. She is clean, expressive, talkative, and full of personality. She enjoys walks, car rides, beach outings, and simply being close to the person she trusts. Her ideal person is someone calm, patient, and emotionally attuned, with the time and heart to build a real bond with her. She would do best as the only dog, in a calm home without small children or frequent guest traffic. With the right person, Kartoshka will be the most loyal and loving friend.

Story
Meet Mavis: A Sweet, Smart, and Loyal Companion Mavis is a sweet, resilient dog adopted from Adams County Pet Rescue in May 2024. She overcame a rough start through shelter training and thrives on affection. Our family has grown with young children, so we want her to find a quieter home where she can get the focused attention she deserves. Incredibly loyal, Mavis warms up quickly, loves walks, and enjoys the dog park. She is fully crate-trained, loves her kennel, and is impeccably well-behaved and non-destructive when left home alone. As a sensitive soul, high excitement can cause minor submissive urination. Busy family evenings have recently caused her stress, leading to occasional accidents—a sign she needs a serene, adult-centered environment. She also requires a securely fenced yard for her safety. If you have a gentle heart and a secure yard, Mavis is ready to fill your life with love.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Rancher! 🐾 Rancher is a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois mix with a big heart, endless enthusiasm, and plenty of love to give. At around 70 lbs, he’s a strong, athletic guy who would thrive with an active family or person ready for adventure. Whether it’s hikes, runs, playtime in the yard, or learning new tricks, Rancher is always up for the next activity. This handsome boy is full of energy and personality, but what really makes him special is how much he adores people. Rancher is incredibly friendly, loves human attention, and is happiest when he’s part of the action with his family. He’s also great with kids, making him a wonderful companion for an active household. Rancher gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine buddy to play with. After a fun-filled day, he’s more than happy to settle down and soak up affection from his favorite humans. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic best friend who’s equal parts adventure partner and family dog, Rancher might just be your perfect match. ❤️

Story
Animal Information: Zoey is a 6 year old, 60 pound German Shepherd mix in need of a new home. She was adopted from Kitsap Humane Society three years ago and has been waiting over a year to be rehomed. Her current owner is moving due to health reasons, and Zoey is now confined to a crate most of the day with only brief breaks. She has lived with a cat, but her limited time outside the crate makes it unclear how well she is fully integrated. Zoey is house trained, crate trained, and has basic obedience skills. She is dog friendly. She is social with people and seeks out attention. Zoey would do best with an adopter who has experience with large breeds or shepherd type dogs. Foster Profile:  This girl is so incredibly sweet! All owner surrenders break my heart a bit, but she’s just been such a delight already to have with us, and will make such a great companion for a lucky person or family. She’s got that sugar face already at 5 years old, but it's so clear she’s still got young dog energy. She likes to play fetch and run around, but has a chill mode too. She’s not underfoot, but she likes to know where you are and be near. Her personality reminds me a little of a classic lab meets GSD, a little goofy, sweet, and energetic, but also very smart, clever, and quick. She seems to love water as she has plopped herself in our very small, decorative pond quite a few times already! Zoey is crate and potty trained, and already knows sit, laydown, and kennel up. We’re working on leash training as she is a strong girl who can really pull, but she is responding well to a training collar. We think she would be fine as an only dog, as she really loves her people. However, given how she has been following around our resident dog, Theo, and booping him on the butt to get him to play, we think she would also be so happy to have a pal who wants to play with her! She recently spent the weekend with our 8 and 11 year old neice and nephew and was a huge fan! Though not excessively vocal, typical for her breed, Zoey does have a fairly loud protective bark. We think she will do best with a bit of space and ideally a fenced yard. We are not considering apartments for Zoey at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to our rescue when her owner had a chance of living arrangement. She is arriving to foster care as soon as we secure a foster home and will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.September 4, 2026, 4:05 pm
