Meet Maya – Playful, Affectionate, and Full of Personality! Maya is a sweet, friendly pup who has overcome a tough start and is thriving in her foster home—but she’s still searching for her forever family. She’s incredibly affectionate with humans and gets along with all types of dogs when properly introduced, as long as they aren’t dominant. She’s working with a trainer to develop her best manners and is learning to manage her excitement, especially when greeting people. Maya loves chew toys and is full of playful energy. While her foster is teaching her how to use a pool, she currently prefers a bucket—her quirky personality shines through in everything she does! 😅 Maya has recently shown a talent for climbing, even hopping onto an outdoor kitchen counter, which hints that she could be a fantastic candidate for agility classes. She’s best suited for a home with older kids who can handle her enthusiasm and playful hugs. She comes vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. We will cover transport to Austin, San Antonio, or Dallas, and can also arrange out-of-state transport or to Canadian adopters (adoption fee for out-of-state applies). Hi, I’m Reno — your soon-to-be favorite weirdo. I’m a quirky, affectionate pup with a big heart and a slightly awkward charm that really grows on you (like one of those novelty plants, but furrier and way more fun to hang out with). I love the idea of long walks… I just haven’t totally figured out how to walk like a dog should yet. I’m still building confidence on the leash, especially outside the shelter — new sights and sounds can be a little overwhelming, but with time and encouragement, I know I’ll get there! I’m also working on my manners, like how to be polite indoors and settle into a home routine. With a proper introduction, I’d actually prefer to go home with a confident dog buddy — someone who can show me the ropes and help me feel more secure. My history with cats is a mystery, but I’m open to polite, supervised introductions.I’d be happiest in a home with older kids who understand I’m still learning and may need a little patience as I figure things out. I’ll also be heading home with a calming supplement to help me settle in smoothly. Most of all, I’d love a safe, quiet space to call my own — a cozy corner where I can relax, feel secure, and truly be myself. If you’re looking for a lovable oddball with a heart of gold and lots of potential, I might just be your perfect match. Let’s take it slow and see where this journey takes us together!I am 1 year old and currently 45lbs. I am a neutered male who is microchipped and fully vaccinated. My adoption fee has been sponsored by a very generous donor so I am FREE to go home!, which comes with a collar and a personalized tag! Feel free to visit at the animal shelter Monday through Friday 11am to 5pm and Saturdays 10am to 2pm.
