Meet Maya – Playful, Affectionate, and Full of Personality! Maya is a sweet, friendly pup who has overcome a tough start and is thriving in her foster home—but she’s still searching for her forever family. She’s incredibly affectionate with humans and gets along with all types of dogs when properly introduced, as long as they aren’t dominant. She’s working with a trainer to develop her best manners and is learning to manage her excitement, especially when greeting people. Maya loves chew toys and is full of playful energy. While her foster is teaching her how to use a pool, she currently prefers a bucket—her quirky personality shines through in everything she does! 😅 Maya has recently shown a talent for climbing, even hopping onto an outdoor kitchen counter, which hints that she could be a fantastic candidate for agility classes. She’s best suited for a home with older kids who can handle her enthusiasm and playful hugs. She comes vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. We will cover transport to Austin, San Antonio, or Dallas, and can also arrange out-of-state transport or to Canadian adopters (adoption fee for out-of-state applies). Mia is looking for a calm, confident adopter who can offer her the routine and structure, which is where she thrives! She&#39ll do well in a dog-savvy home and gets along with other dogs when management is clear and calm. We recommend a home without young children; teens may be fine with guidance. Over the years, she&#39s completed several training programs--passing each with flying colors! . To support her in her next chapter, Happy Gentle Dogs will provide a complimentary Board & Train before adoption, along with a smooth, hands-on transfer and follow-up support to set everyone up for success. Mia has a solid foundation and a big heart. If you&#39re ready to meet her with patience and purpose, we&#39d love to hear from you. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. He may be small for his breed, but he&#39s bursting with energy and thrives on movement--whether it&#39s running, hiking, or playing with other dogs. Left behind in boarding by his previous owner, Hustle is still learning to trust. He can be shy at first, but with patience and love, his loyal nature shines through. He is fully vaccinated and looking for a dedicated person who can offer the time, training, and care he needs to feel safe and confident. If you&#39re ready to earn the trust of a truly devoted companion, Hustle is waiting to meet you. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment).
