This gentle and beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog mix, approximately 6–7 years old, has endured neglect and hardship, yet he radiates warmth and kindness. Cooper’s journey to a better life began when he was rescued by Tara’s House from an outdoor kennel just prior to Christmas 2024 where he had spent nearly all of his life. Cooper is a gentle soul who is just happy to be with you. He gets along beautifully with everyone and everything; dogs, cats, critters, and older kids who have been taught to respect dogs. All he asks for is a cozy spot to rest his head, a gentle hand to reassure him, and the time to slowly ease into an active routine. However, if you have the time for a bum scratch…he will happily accept! Completely housebroken, this boy is a gem who also puts himself to bed at night in his crate. He will greet you in the morning with the cutest happy tippy-tap dance and a wagging tail. He is a calm, sweet-natured old soul who would make an easy transition into a home with a fenced-in yard (and a home with carpet or carpet runners would be especially appreciated by him, as he finds hard floors a little scary!) We got a call from a friend of the rescue. She was on her way home from work when she found a litter of puppies that had been dumped on her road. She called us and we immediately headed that way to round them up. By the time we got there it was dark. We managed to round up 6 of them but the next day a neighbor found one more. We searched all day to see if there were any more but we couldn't find anyone left. The day after they all arrived, they began to get sick one by one. We quickly started medication and fluids and within a couple of days they were all healed and happy! As of November 1st, our vet estimated them to be approximately 3 months. We believe the daddy is a Great Pyrenees as there was an intact male living on the same street where they were found. It looks like mama could be a hound dog, just a guess! Either way, they are adorable! They will be getting spayed and neutered shortly and will be available for transport just in time for Christmas! WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND TRANSPORT ALL PETS TO YOUR AREA! ADOPTION FEE $650
