Story
Macy is an approximately 2 year old, 100 lbs. female Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. See results of her DNA test, which includes health information as well. She is house trained (at foster home), great on a leash, and does well in a crate. Macy enjoys long walks, romps in the yard, and snuggles. She will do best in a home with no other dogs and no small children. For Macy, you need a large yard, preferably fenced. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and heartworm negative. She needs adopters who will give her exercise and train her to be her best doggy self. If interested in adopting, email marysmutts05@gmail.com for a dog adoption application. The Adoption Fee is $400.00. We appreciate your interest in adopting from a rescue organization. We understand the desire to meet our "cuties" as soon as possible, but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit visitation to approved applicants only. Once your completed application is submitted by you and approved by MASR, we will be glad to schedule your visit. This dog has been examined by our vet, spayed or neutered (if not previously done), vaccinations updated, heartworm negative, and has been microchipped. Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' given by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. NO guarantees are implied. We do not guarantee housebreaking. Consistency and patience are key! Dogs benefit greatly from Obedience Training - and we encourage you to check out http://www.pupsdogobediencetraining.com/ . They offer a great discount for training of dogs coming from MAS Rescue! Please note that small breeds are not well designed for families with young children as everything about them is more delicate and will require careful handling. Please be sure you have the TIME to have a dog. Please be aware that it is the opinion of this rescue group, in conjunction with dog behaviorists, that a young puppy benefits greatly with proper socialization. We will only place puppies in homes where they have the opportunity to be with someone all day, travel to work, or have special arrangements, such as Puppy Day Care, Dog Walker, etc. Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your new furry friend; dogs could live 15 years or more!!

Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
I got Bailey from a breeder when she was 2 months old. Bailey was born on 4/13/2022. She's very loving, adaptable but needs a lot more time, love and attention that i can give her. Bailey has a few behavioral issues that i feel like can improve with more exercise , time , attention and love. A few of her behavioral issues consist of playful nipping and biting, barking , disobedience and sometimes destruction. I will include some items for bailey. Needs a new home ASAP

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Chili is 4yo, weighs 98lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped.  Chili knows 'sit', 'come', 'stay', and 'paw'; she loves car rides but dislikes vacuums; Chili is with her family inside the home during the day and sleeps in her crate at nighttime in home as well.  Chili's guardian adds:  "We love her so much and this was a very difficult decision for my family - she deserves the world.  She is very low maintenance with the exception of her fur - She is a heavy shedding breed, but with a few brushes a week, it keeps it down drastically!  It's Chili glitter:).  With daily brushing, it is barely noticeable.  Chili loves being outside within a fenced yard - she LOVES chasing birds and is convinced she can catch them, lol.  Sometimes she will just lay and soak up the sun for hours before coming back inside." Chili's guardian explains why he has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "We have had Chili since 8 weeks old, but due to recent health issues, as well as my grandmother I care for, I am looking for a family that has the time Chili deserves to continue loving her." Chili's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  Chili had ear infections during puppyhood and once in adulthood, which were resolved. Chili's guardian states the following regarding children:  Chili lives with children, currently ages 8 and 13, so her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "Friendly, excited at first then lays down.  Tolerates play and petting. Chili's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Chili has lived with a dog, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating... "When properly introduced, Chili is great!  I use the sit command as dogs pass and she is fine. I will say if the other dog barks or lunges FIRST Chili immediately responds and will bark, snap and lunge.  She does not have a lot of experience with new dogs as we did not have the opportunity to fully socialize her.  I do not suggest she be in a home with other dogs just because she has only been comfortable with the dogs she is used to within our extended family (that come over to visit).  I would prefer she be in a one-dog household only because I can't confidently vouch for how she would react living with an unfamiliar dog."      Chili's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Chili lives with cats, so her guardian recommends her living with cats, stating "Chili loves our cats (can't say they love her back, but they do tolerate her).  She sniffs and ignores them". Chili's guardian describes her as: Couch potato Barks alot Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Indoor dog House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Chili's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "Chili would do great with a single person, couple or family as the only resident dog.  She loves affection and interaction.  She truly thrives being a part of her home and it's daily activities." Story
Maisey is slowly but surely coming out of her shell in her wonderful foster home. She is crate trained, house trained, and doesn't mind the other dog in the home. She is working on leash training and can be quite timid with new people, but once she opens up, there's so much to love about this fluffy gal! She enjoys a good hard toy to chew on but will tear up anything stuffed. Her amazing fosters are teaching her how to just "be a dog" after spending so much of her early life living outside without much love!

Story
Mollie is working on crate and house training in her foster home down south. She likes to be the alpha dog if with other dogs, but would be fine as an only dog too. This girl isn't terribly high energy and will snuggle on the couch with you! She has spent most of her young life living outside, so will need a patient and experienced foster willing to work with her to become the best dog she can be inside!

Story
Sweet Snowy was adopted out last summer and is coming back to us in search of a better fit. She is VERY playful and smart. She knows basic commands and is crate and house trained. She loves to be petted and thinks she is a lap dog. She loves long walks and is learning to be better behaved on leash. Snowy is cat, dog and people friendly. We don't recommend small children because of her energy level and tendency to jump (part of the reason she's not a good fit in current home). She would LOVE another playful dog to help wear her out! Snowy has SO much potential; even the trainer said so!!
