Story
Meet Willa! 🐾 Willa is a 5-year-old, 25-pound Mini Bernedoodle with the sweetest personality you could ask for! Willa is looking for a special home with a family who has previous rescue experience, where she can truly thrive. She came to us from a commercial breeder and was previously adopted, but it simply wasn't the right fit for everyone. Now she's hoping to find her forever family. Willa doesn't ask for much, but she does have one important requirement: she must be allowed on the furniture! She is the definition of a couch potato and loves nothing more than curling up beside you, resting her head in your lap while you relax together. However, she loves going on walks! She does well on a leash and looks forward to her walks so she can sniff out the world she travels well in a car tooo She is an excellent house guest. Willa is house-trained, although we always say regression is common in new environments, ignores cats, gets along well with her Golden Retriever sister, and settles nicely in her crate (even if it isn't her favorite place). Her ideal home is a calm environment We do feel it would be best for children to be 12 and over so they can understand how to be respectful of Willa until she feels comfortable. Because Willa is quite the little escape artist, her future family will need to take extra precautions. She should always wear a GPS tracker or similar device, and her home should have secure barriers or a reliable system to prevent her from slipping out the door. A securely fenced yard is a requirement for this gal! Willa is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and more than ready to steal your heart—and your spot on the sofa! She's a calm, gentle, affectionate girl who simply wants a safe place to relax and be loved. Honestly, isn't that what we all want? Willa is currently being fostered in Strasburg, PA. Kennel License #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608

Story
Oreo has become our Starr🌟 This beautiful 3 y/o girl came to us from a commercial breeder and is said to be a minibernadoodle although we recognize the Australian Shepherd similarities 🤷🏻‍♀️ She is about 32 pounds. She began her rescue journey in a foster home where a young girl named her Oreo based on her gorgeous coloring. After about three months, her foster mom recognized that their household was too busy for this baby and she wasn’t progressing as well as she could. Oreo moved to her current foster home where she became our Starr 🌟 Starr has made great strides in the last two months. She walks beautifully on a leash and seems to need her human to lead the way. She enjoys the company of other playful, confident dogs; a confident resident dog/s is required in her forever home to continue to show Starr how to be a well-loved member of the family. Starr recently had a sleepover and met the resident cat; she liked her too. Starr loves stuffies, bones and food😋 It’s just humans where she needs the convincing 🙃 Starr needs a confident pack leader who is calm and steady. She startles at loud noises and quick movements, and so a quieter, less busy home is ideal. While Starr is always close by to her foster mom, and wants to be in the mix, she shies away from direct eye contact and is still learning that humans can be gentle. She is reluctant to be pet but she will allow it, and even seems to enjoy it. She is just apprehensive and needs to be reassured that she is safe. She has the most beautiful, expressive eyes and they will talk to you if you listen 😉💗 Starr is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. House-training is a work in progress and the safer Starr feels outside, the better she gets. Starr is looking for a quiet home with structure and routine and a family that will allow her to grow at her own pace with gentle encouragement. Starr has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is prescribed medication to alleviate her anxiety which should be continued in her forever home until a doctor says otherwise. She is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A meet and greet with all family members, including furry friends, and a home visit are part of the application process. Story
Meet Angie. Angie is a 5 year old female Bernese Mountain Dog who weighs 98 lbs. She came to us from a breeder. Angie is doing her best to figure out what it means to live in a house. Angie has not had any accidents in the house. She's skiddish with loud noises and quick movements. Angie paces in the house, going back and forth to see where the people are. Angie does well in a crate that she can see through. Crating Angie actually gives her time to rest. Angie met some neighbor kids and did well with them, but would prefer to have it quiet. A yard with a fence is a must because Angie doesn't like the leash and attempts to dart away when on a leash. Angie has seen cats through a fence and will stand there watching them. Angie has also briefly had cats walk past her with no barriers and she did not try to go after them. We did find a mass on Angie's leg when she came to the rescue. It was removed when she was spayed. The biopsy did show mast cell cancer and it was completely removed. We don't know at this point if it will re-occur or how long she had the lump but it is now completely removed. Angie will need a home that will spoil her no matter how long she may have. Angie is microchipped, up to date with her vaccines, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $250.00. Story
Meet Arielle -Arielle is a 5 ½ yr old Black/White Bernedoodle and weighs approximately 77 lbs. She is the height of a Bernese and her hair is more poodle than Bernese. She doesn’t shed and allergies have not been an issue in the foster home. She came from a farm in Lancaster and was a personal pet on the property. Arielle listens very well and knows commands. She is still shy but is coming out of her shell more and more each day. Arielle loves to be petted and comes when you call her. Arielle gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. Arielle is crate trained and has had no accidents in the house or crate. She even lets you know when she needs to go to the bathroom. She considers her crate her safe space and it’s highly recommended that she has a crate so she has her own space. Because of her active prey instinct Arielle should not go to a home that has chickens. Arielle also walks very well on a leash, but if she gets scared she is going to take off and if your not prepared she will pull you with her. Because of her size it would be recommended for Arielle to go to a home with older children. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and spayed. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you are interested in adopting Arielle, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Logan's Heroes Animal Rescue 9411 Kings Highway, East Greenville, PA 18041.Pennsylvania Kennel License #13036  ##2750130##

Story
Meet Fig! Fig is one of the two smallest puppies in the Grove Gang, a trio of Bernedoodles who came to rescue after their breeder surrendered seven dogs. Fig and her sister, Date, were the first two our rescue took in. When we learned that no other rescue had chosen their dad, Banyan, we knew we couldn’t leave him behind. So Banyan joined his girls, and the Grove Gang was safely together in rescue. Since her rescue, Fig has been soaking up every ounce of affection she can get. She has also been medically groomed and is already feeling so much better. It’s amazing what a little TLC, a clean-up, and plenty of love can do! Now this sweet girl is ready to start the next chapter of her life. Fig will be looking for her forever family through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows an approved family to bring their future puppy home right away while making sure the match is the perfect fit for everyone. After a two-week foster period, the adoption is finalized. Fig can arrive in PA on or after August 22. Could Fig be the sweet addition your family has been looking for?
