Story
Meet Liberty. Liberty is a 5 year old 65 lbs Bernese mountain dog/poodle mix that Logan’s rescued from a commercial breeding kennel.  She is a magnificent dog with a few areas needing work.  She has only had a couple of potty accidents so is almost housebroken.  She is almost crate trained but will need help going in.  We feed her in the crate(all our volunteers do that with their fosters). Liberty is full of energy and plays wonderfully with our lab.  She understands the commands NO and LEAVE IT but needs work on teaching her to sit with her doodle personality energy. Liberty is good with the cat in the foster’s home. Liberty is still very skittish as most puppy mill dogs have never been exposed to noises common in a home and neighborhood.  She even reacted to pulling a tissue from a box. But she is getting used to more things every day in her foster home. She will do best in a home with another friendly dog to help show her the ropes. She is currently in a foster home with a fenced in yard and does better with that as she is still learning what walking on a leash is all about. Liberty is a super sweet and loving dog that would love a forever home that is calm and patient to help her learn to enjoy house dog life. Liberty is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $400.00. If you are interested in adopting Liberty, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Harley’s story is one of loyalty, resilience, and quiet hope. An 18-month-old, 125-pound Great Pyrenees, he was lovingly raised in a home full of children, laughter, and structure. When his family faced a sudden divorce and had to move into a much smaller space without a yard, Harley lost the home he knew — not because he wasn’t loved, but because life changed faster than anyone expected. Despite the upheaval, Harley remains wonderfully grounded and joyful. He is a dog who finds happiness in simple things: being outside, watching over his home, playing fetch with his people, and romping happily with other dogs. He is friendly, calm, and deeply affectionate in a soft, unassuming way. Praise and gentle affection mean everything to him, and he takes great pride in being near his people, even tagging along for household chores like a fluffy, devoted assistant. Harley embodies everything people love about the Great Pyrenees — a massive heart wrapped in a calm, loving soul. He’s looking for a forever home where he can stretch out, settle in, and know that this time, it’s truly permanent. If you think you might be that home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 25, 2026, 10:05 pm

Story
&#226&#156&#168 Meet Iris – your future best friend! &#226&#156&#168 Iris is our sweet foster girl born around November 5th to an Amish breeder farm and we took over her care when she was 8 weeks old.  Often when puppies have not been sold at eight weeks, they will either euthanize them or offer them to a rescue to take.  We jumped at the trance to help three puppies that they no longer saw fit to keep.  They were not in tip top shape at all, but they are now. Iris arrived a little bit scared and shy, but she now is the happiest, most curious soul. She’s independent but loves being around her humans, always wanting to be part of the action.   here is what her adoring foster mom, Jennifer has to say about her  'Iris is so playful, a ton of fun and super cute.  She fits right into our household routine faster than we expected. Iris gets along wonderfully with all of our dogs and absolutely adores our 10-year-old son, making her a fantastic candidate for a family home. While she’s happy and well-behaved in her crate (she sleeps there overnight and does great when we leave the house). Iris definitely prefers lounging out in the house when you’re home—close to her people. She just wants to be where you are.   Iris would make an amazing family dog: loving, joyful, adaptable, and a total delight to have around. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion with a big heart, Iris might be your girl. &#226&#156&#168we expect her to reach 75 pounds as an adult.    Message us to learn more or to meet Iris!   Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at    Ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 30, 2026, 7:07 pm

Story
Baby Cakes is currently in a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. -Baby Cakes came in with five siblings after being abandoned in the woods in late February/early March 2025. All of her siblings have been adopted and are thriving in their new homes. -She is a special case that will need a loving, very patient home. She is very shy and needs to feel safe and loved. You can see her disposition in the YouTube video attached. -Just turned 1 year old (January 1st) -Approximately 50-55 pounds -DNA testing shows she is 74% Great Pyrenees/18% Miniature Australian Shepherd/8% Boxer -Does great with other dogs large and small, would probably help her come out of her shell more. Small, yappy dogs stress her out. -Would do well with one-on-one attention -Best environment would be a quiet home. If there are children in the home, they need to be over 14 years old or so. -Needs an elevated bed or soft bed to lay on -Would need a fenced yard since she would be a flight risk (at least in the beginning when she's learning to trust her new family). Watch her video: https://youtube.com/shorts/cRBr78S6TkM See the rescue video when her litter was found: https://www.facebook.com/61556973118844/videos/641365195044815 Baby Cakes is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPPx3, Bordetella), has been dewormed and a fecal test, and on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $600, this is including all vetting above and transport cost. Please fill out this application FIRST if you'd like to adopt Baby Cakes: https://form.jotform.com/243134969050053 After filling out the application, email luckypawsdoghouse@gmail.com or text/call 580-257-0622 if you'd like.
