Story
Meet Liberty. Liberty is a 5 year old 65 lbs Bernese mountain dog/poodle mix that Logan’s rescued from a commercial breeding kennel.  She is a magnificent dog with a few areas needing work.  She has only had a couple of potty accidents so is almost housebroken.  She is almost crate trained but will need help going in.  We feed her in the crate(all our volunteers do that with their fosters). Liberty is full of energy and plays wonderfully with our lab.  She understands the commands NO and LEAVE IT but needs work on teaching her to sit with her doodle personality energy. Liberty is good with the cat in the foster’s home. Liberty is still very skittish as most puppy mill dogs have never been exposed to noises common in a home and neighborhood.  She even reacted to pulling a tissue from a box. But she is getting used to more things every day in her foster home. She will do best in a home with another friendly dog to help show her the ropes. She is currently in a foster home with a fenced in yard and does better with that as she is still learning what walking on a leash is all about. Liberty is a super sweet and loving dog that would love a forever home that is calm and patient to help her learn to enjoy house dog life. Liberty is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $400.00. Story
Meet Flora 🌸 Flora is a beautiful 4-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog with a gentle soul and a heart full of quiet hope. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives, ready to begin the next chapter of her life in a safe, loving home. Flora is very timid and shy, but beneath her soft, cautious nature is a dog who truly wants to blossom with patience, kindness, and consistency. She is currently underweight and has been shaved due to severe matting, so she has a long journey ahead as she regains her strength and her signature fluffy coat. A calm, understanding home will give her the time and space she needs to flourish. She does well with other dogs and cats, and would thrive in a home with respectful, older children who understand the importance of giving her space as she builds trust (12 and up please). Flora is known to jump fences, so for her safety she must be kept on a leash at all times and in a secure environment. Flora is currently being treated with an anxiety med and it should be continued in her new home under vet discretion. If you’re looking to open your heart to a sweet, sensitive girl who just needs someone to believe in her, Flora is ready to grow by your side. 💛 Before applying please take into account: Adopting a farm dog is life-changing, for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA

Story
Meet Bruno 🤍 Bruno is a 3-year-old mini Bernedoodle with a gentle soul and a heart that’s learning how to trust. He is very timid and shy, so his perfect forever family will be patient, understanding, and committed to giving him the time he needs to feel safe. Bruno will need to be leashed at all times when outdoors. Because of his scared nature, he may try to flee if he feels overwhelmed—but the good news is that he actually does very well walking on a leash and finds comfort in routine and consistency. He is potty trained, though some regression is normal as he adjusts to a new home. Bruno is also crate trained and sees his crate as a safe space where he can retreat when he needs comfort or quiet time. While Bruno startles easily, once he warms up to his people, his sweet personality shines. He loves to lay right beside you on the couch—all day if you let him—quietly soaking in the safety of being near someone he trusts. Bruno has spent time with other dogs, and his foster family believes he would truly benefit from having a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes and boost his confidence. Bruno may not be the dog who rushes into your arms on day one—but for the family willing to go slow and never give up on him, he will be a loyal, loving companion who proves that trust is worth the wait. 🐶✨ He is up to date on all veterinary care and is currently being fostered in Lancaster , PA. Potential adopters must be willing to travel there to meet him. Please note that we do not do same-day adoptions—we believe in thoughtful matches to set everyone up for success.
