Story
MACDUFF MacDuff’s Must Haves: - MacDuff loves his people and is a gentle giant. True to his lineage, he is happiest when everyone is in the same room under his watchful eye. - One MacDuff is a lot of love! He has no desire to share his home and family with any other pets. - MacDuff would enjoy having a backyard to romp around - somewhere he can stretch his legs, sniff around and explore at his own pace. - Sometimes, doods take a longer journey to adoption. MacDuff has spent time with our training partner before heading to a foster home. As a result, the big guy has honed his skills and is ready to be a great companion. - Adopters MUST live in the DFW-area and be willing to work with MacDuff’s foster and trainer through a slow adoption process. Several meetings will be required before the adoption can be finalized. - MacDuff’s “let’s not” includes fireworks, thunderstorms and vet visits. Therefore, he is currently on an anti-anxiety prescription regimen. A stable, bonded home should lessen the need for the medication over time. - MacDuff’s family will be patient, loving and continue with medication and training. Personality: - MacDuff is a gentle soul who loves heavily and with all of his heart. He rewards patience with total devotion. - Have errands to run? No worries, MacDuff is totally trustworthy left loose in the house while you're gone. - In addition to being smart, he is food motivated and wants to please very badly. This dood is ready to learn new skills! - Big Mac is learning to be brave—he recently watched the neighbors saw down a tree. That was so noisy! The yak chew reward was worth it! - He’s a fabulous companion—part weighted blanket, part trusted confidant, part enthusiastic bestie. 100% good boy! - Did you say “ball”? Yes, please! Are You The One for MacDuff? MacDuff’s adoption fee is $650 . He is HW-negative, current on vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like MacDuff a second chance. If you would like to fill out an application and you are within the DFW area, please click on one of the Adoption Application buttons on this page https://www.doodledandyrescue.org/all-adoptable-doodles/macduff and select MACDUFF from the drop-down menu.

Story
Meet Honeydew! Honeydew is a 7-week-old Great Pyrenees/Doberman mix who is full of personality and charm. She is one of fourteen precious puppies who entered a high-euthanasia shelter with their mama. When their mom developed mastitis, Honeydew and most of her siblings had to be bottle-fed — and she has grown into a happy, thriving little girl. Honeydew is active, playful, and full of joyful puppy energy. She loves to run, romp, and play with her siblings, and she’s always ready for the next adventure. Whether it’s chasing toys, exploring the yard, or bouncing around with her littermates, Honeydew is all about fun. But don’t let her playful side fool you — she’s also incredibly affectionate. Honeydew loves attention and happily soaks up pets, cuddles, and time with her people once she’s gotten her wiggles out. Because she’s still so young, Honeydew is at the perfect age to grow and adapt beautifully in just about any home. With proper introductions and continued socialization, she should do well with dogs, cats, kids, or as a solo pup getting all the love. Honeydew is 7 weeks old and is currently available for Foster-to-Adopt (FTA). What does Foster-to-Adopt mean?It means you bring Honeydew home as a foster while she finishes up any remaining vetting through our rescue (such as vaccines and spay when age-appropriate). Once her vetting is completed, the adoption is finalized. It’s a great way to ensure a smooth transition while we complete her medical care. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate puppy who will happily keep up with adventures and then snuggle up afterward, Honeydew might be your perfect match. ##2650451##

Story
Meet Coconut! Coconut is one of fourteen precious Great Pyrenees/Doberman mix puppies who entered a high-euthanasia shelter with their mama. When their mom developed mastitis, Coconut and most of her siblings had to be bottle-fed — and this little girl has grown into a thriving, personality-packed sweetheart! Coconut is equal parts feisty and sweet. She has a confident, spunky side and isn’t afraid to make herself known — especially if she thinks it’s time for attention or snacks! She’s a bit vocal and expressive, which just adds to her charm and big personality. She absolutely loves attention and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. And food? Let’s just say she’s very motivated. Treats and mealtime are serious business in Coconut’s world — which will make training fun and rewarding! Despite her sassy streak, Coconut is incredibly loving and bonds closely with her people. She enjoys playing with her siblings, being in the middle of the action, and then settling down for cuddles once she’s gotten her energy out. Because she’s still young, Coconut is at a wonderful age to grow and adapt in just about any home. With proper introductions and continued socialization, she should do well with dogs, cats, kids, or as a solo pup who gets to be the star of the show. Coconut is 7 weeks old and available for foster-to-adopt.  What does Foster-to-Adopt mean?It means you bring Coconut home as a foster while she finishes up any remaining vetting (such as vaccines or spay, if age-appropriate). Once her vetting is completed through our rescue, the adoption gets finalized. It’s a great way to ensure a smooth transition while we complete her medical care! If you’re looking for a bold, funny, food-loving little firecracker who will keep you laughing and loving, Coconut might just be your girl. ##2650453##
