Meet Lainey— the sweet star of the “Western Singer Sisters” trio, rescued from a rural area east of Dallas and now ready to trade survival mode for the good life!
At just 5 months old and 28 pounds, Lainey is already proving she’s the full package: beauty, brains, and a little bit of Pyrenees-style opinionated charm. This Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix is expected to grow into a large breed dog with an even larger personality. She’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, and has quickly mastered the important puppy priorities: playing hard, eating enthusiastically, and napping like a professional.
Lainey absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion to continue teaching her the ropes. She’s happiest when she has room to stretch her legs, people around who adore her, and a comfy spot to crash after a busy day of puppy adventures.
Now, let’s talk Pyrenees. If you know, you know. These dogs are loyal, intelligent, hilarious, and wonderfully stubborn. They don’t just live with you… they supervise you. Because of her breed mix, Lainey is looking for experienced dog owners with a large securely fenced yard, another playful dog, and humans who are home more often than not. We recommend placing female pyrenees in homes where they will be the only princess, meaning only female, as they do tend to be a tad bossy with other adult female dogs.

ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care. All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!

Dogs (over 12 months) - $275
Qualifications for Adoption: No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.
Must be home more than not.
Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.
Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address.
Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household.
Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting.
Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet.
Must have a secure fence if in a house.
All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.
DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas.
