Story

Elsa just turned 3 years old. We've had her since she was a puppy. She is a very sweet dog who loves to please and learns well. She loves to give head hugs (she just gently leans into you with her head and melts) and she adores you with her big doe eyes. She also loves to play with other dogs and lives with cats. Elsa's only issue is what she was bred for. Protection. She protects what she feels is high value. She has displayed resource guarding and to the extent of causing injury to other pets in the house. Elsa is very trainable and so I feel she deserves the chance to be in a loving home that has no other pets or with someone who can handle and train her. She is currently in a household that has been forced to shift responsibility to an aging, early dementia parent and I fear that she will not get the care she needs to thrive and thus her behavior could get worse. Elsa is a fun dog with lots of goofy personality. She will make you laugh every day.
