Story
Hello New Friends, My name is Beloved and Blissful Bohdi — and I’m a gentle, handsome bichon boy of five years, weighing 19 pounds who has soulful brown eyes and a nose my foster mom says is “designed specifically for kisses.” (I think she might be right). If you’re wondering what kind of pup I am, let me tell you my story. Recently I found myself starting a brand-new chapter as a FurKid. I lost my mom, my home and my doggy siblings and arrived at my foster home: polite, quiet boy who wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. I quickly learned that life inside a loving home is full of soft beds, kind hands, and tummy rubs (oh yes, the tummy rubs!). Within days I began to show my true self: a gentle soul who leans in for affection, rolls over for belly scratches, and melts into your hand when you pet the top of my head. I close my eyes and nearly drift off every time. My Foster says that’s “the cutest thing she’s ever seen.” I’m also a happy, lively pup when the great outdoors calls! I love going on walks, especially when we meet wildlife trotting across our path. Squirrels, birds, anything with feathers or fur — I perk right up and say, “Ooh! A friend!” At the park I run, jump, and play with the other dogs. I’m still learning that after you chase a toy, you’re supposed to actually bring it back. I’m working on that (I promise). As for other pups, I’m definitely the “easygoing little brother” type. I’ll curl up back-to-back with my foster siblings, share space like a gentleman, and happily join in when everyone crowds around for pets and treats. Sometimes I check what the others got for dinner, because… well… what if they received something even better? I’m still perfecting the art of “eat your dinner first, Bohdi,” but I’m enthusiastic about the lesson. I adore grown-ups, too, and I’m wonderful with children. On a recent walk, I met two young neighbors—ages four and eight—and politely let them pet me with no hesitation. I’m also a terrific car-ride companion: on my 45-minute trip to my foster home I alternated between looking out the window like a proper explorer and curling up for a restful snooze. I was “a perfect gentleman.” House manners? I do very well — especially with a doggie door. I’m great on the leash, too. I think I know how to heel, because I often glance back to check in with my Mom. Sitting is a work in progress. When you ask, I sometimes melt gently to the floor instead. It’s not that I’m being disobedient… it’s more like shyness mixed with charm. At night I hop up on the bed for snuggles, then quietly choose a dog bed of my own nearby. I’m calm and rarely bark (unless my foster siblings rally to protect the house) then, of course, I contribute one polite “woof!” to the cause. I’m an active boy who enjoys good walks (and time outdoors), but also wonderfully content with naps and companionship. I’m healthy, easygoing, affectionate, gentle, and ready to give my whole heart to the person or family who loves me. Whether you scoop me up in your arms, pull me close on the couch, or stroke the top of my head while I drift toward dreamland, I’ll show you every day just how grateful and loving a little dog can be. My Ideal Home Should Have: • A family or adult(s) who enjoy affection and togetherness • Another kind, playful dog in my home • Humans who appreciate a gentle, loving companion • Regular walks and time outside (I do love an adventure!) Experience Level: • Someone with dog experience • A home where kindness and routine are the norm If you’re looking for a loving, tenderhearted companion who wants nothing more than to be close, be cherished, and share life’s simple joys, I’m applying to be your new best friend. Please ask for me by name. Tail wags, snuggles, and love, Beloved, Blissful and Blessed Bohdi

Story
Meet Oliver Joe! 16-year-old Oliver Joe was entrusted to our care in after his mom passed away. He is a very sweet, happy boy who acts younger than his years. Oliver enjoys walks, car rides, and recently gave stand-up paddleboarding a try. (He did great!) If you are looking for a sweet, devoted companion who does well with cats and other dogs, Oliver might be the one for you! Since July, Oliver has been living in a Foster home, which has allowed to learn so much about what he is like in a home environment. His Foster Mom reports: "Oliver is the sweetest and most well-behaved pup we’ve ever met. He is 45% love, 45% affection, and 10% feline. I swear he purrs during every petting session especially in the morning, and again at bedtime, nestled on his cot beside our bed like a tiny, fluffy prince. Oliver will walk on a leash at most half a mile. He loves riding in the stroller and taking lots of naps in one of his three beds in the family room. (He’s not a fan of human furniture.) He adores car rides and accepts baths, nail trims, and eye cleaning with no complaints, no drama. Though Oliver is hard of hearing, he responds beautifully to hand claps and sign language — a testament to his gentle intelligence. He is very calm and easy to direct. Oliver does need the company of another pup when humans aren’t home, otherwise, he will bark. Oliver has had a calming influence on our dog at home and on walks. His presence helps ease his anxiety and makes each outing a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for all of us. Even our cat feels fine with Oliver! Oliver is an absolute gem. He surely deserves a forever home." To meet this very special boy, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
PLEASE COMPLETE OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION AT WWW.LOVEBUGSRESCUE.ORG IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION. Spud was rescued from the West Valley Animal Shelter after being surrendered by his suspected former owner. He arrived with a microchip, an unkempt and matted coat and long overgrown nails — but despite his rough condition, Spud greeted shelter staff with a wagging tail and a happy heart. Estimated to be around 10 years old and weighing 10 lbs, Spud has had his beauty makeover and is a spunky little gentleman who’s settling beautifully into his foster home. His cheerful spirit shines through, and he’s already won everyone over with his sweet, happy go lucky demeanor. He even enjoyed his very first pup cup the moment he left the shelter, slurping it down in minutes! Spud got an A+ on his bloodwork, his heart and lungs sound good and he’s got one tooth left in his mouth! He does have a sensitive trachea if too much pressure is applied in that area. Spud is pee pad trained and loves playing with his toys, especially with his ball. He happily keeps himself entertained and he loves going for adventures and walks too. Spud is now getting the care he’s long overdue and is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family who will treasure him. He’s the perfect mix of mellow senior charm and joyful personality. Spud's adoption fee is $400 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines/deworming/flea treatment current. Meet Stash - he is Affectionate, Couch, Friendly, Funny, Gentle, Loves, Loyal, Playful, Smart. Stash is an 8-year-old Shih Tzu looking for his forever loving home. He had a rough time before he came to ARRF as a foster; since then, he has blossomed into a healthy, happy pooch. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines. He weighs 12 lbs. Stash can be nippy until he realizes you are there just for him, and then he will love you and be a happy boy in his very own home. His little life hasn't been the happiest until now so he is loathe to share with others. Lots of love and belly rugs will go a long way with this cutie! Stash is crate trained and sleeps in his crate through the night. He loves to go for walks and does well on a leash. To meet Stash, please call or text Brande at (619) 636-1866. Stash is being fostered in the East County of San Diego.

Story
We acquired our beloved dog as a gift from my husband, who bought him from a friend. He is 9 years old and has been with us all his life. Unfortunately, our children have developed allergies, and their health keeps getting affected. Our dog is the best—he's incredibly friendly, great with kids, and loves to be pet. We're looking for a new home where he can continue to receive the love and attention he deserves.
