Story
Hello People, My name is Vivi and I’m a sweet and quite sassy little girl of five looking for a forever home. My foster Mom says I’m very loving and affectionate -- and as feminine as they come. I’m all of 12 pounds, am housebroken (and use the doggy door) and I love my crate. I even put myself to bed at night if I’m tired (but Mom lets me come in to the Big People’s Bed in the morning for a cuddle or two or three!) Dad says I’m a diamond in the rough. He and Mom are doing their best to teach me the proper way to behave in the world. I’m definitely making progress but will need to continue my ‘learning’ with someone who is a super smart and VERY savvy dog person. If that sounds like you, please read on! While I am long on (good) looks and cute as can be, I’m also pretty willful. I like to do what I like to do (which is why I need someone who is smarter than I am and will guide me into perfect behaviors.) I walk well on a leash and am learning to relax in the car. I do best on short drives and when I can listen to music. I do love to cuddle and am known for springing up into your lap to cuddle at the slightest provocation and wanting you to pet my head ( but only my head, please!). If you are lying on the sofa, I love to roll on top of you and make cute little "snorty" noises as I turn around. Unfortunately I’m not a pup that is good around children. If you have children or grandchildren that visit I’m not the one for you. Sorry! I’m an ‘adults-only’ kind of pup. Mom says before I became a FurKid I was adopted simply because I am cute. So I formed some bad habits that she is helping me to overcome. Since I’m smart, I’m definitely learning what to do and not do. I’m also a bit selective about making friends. I bark when people come to the door (Dad says I’m a great watchdog) but when I know someone, I’m much friendlier. I also guard my toys, which is why I’m best as the only pup in the house. My Ideal Home: *Someone home most of the time * NO other FurKids--as I like to be the center of attention * Adults only * NO children or grandchildren * Committed to training me Experience level: *Recent dog experience a must! *Rescue dog experience a plus! *Experience with behavioral training a real plus!!! Because I wasn’t successful in my ‘past life’ I’m hoping to make up for lost time – and am looking for adopters who will appreciate my femininity and my affectionate nature – and will continue to work on my training so I can become the best little girl that I can be. Mom says there is no doubt that I’m well worth the effort but you have to know my signals so that I can be successful. If I sound like the pup you are looking for please let us know. It will be a very special home to which I am adopted as I’m a very special kind of pup. If that sounds like you, please send an email explaining your experience and background to bfkapplicants@gmail.com If you sound like you represent a fit, we will be back in touch. Tail wags and cuddles, Vivacious, Intelligent and Very Independent Vivi

Story
Hello Everyone! My name is Bouncy Benji and I’m a three year old Bichon Havanese mix who is 16 pounds of happy energy and fun. My foster Mom says I’m a very special boy who is very smart (more on that in a minute) and am ridiculously cute. I love to walk (I actually prance), play with toys (I can entertain myself if you are busy), am smart, sweet and both observant and respectful of ‘the rules of the house’. Perhaps the most amazing thing about me, though, is my love of life – and resilience. Before I became a FurKid I lived outside with other dogs and very little human attention. There were a lot of us so we never got to sit on laps or go for walks or learn commands. We didn’t get belly rubs or rides in the car or get to be groomed and feel good. All of that changed a few weeks ago. Now I have this great foster home, a doggy foster sister to observe and learn from – and I get cuddles and snuggles from Mom. (I’ve learned how to ask for them too!) In no time at all, I have learned the joy of going for a walk. I now take walks of two miles or more every morning and trot like a pony with a big smile on my face. Mom says that I truly love being outdoors-- and not just on walks! (She doesn’t have a yard so if I had a yard to sun and run in why I think I’d be in heaven!) I don’t tug on my leash or bark at other dogs either! Mom says I’m also her secret diet! You see, she’s lost weight taking me on my walks! Those walks help me to enjoy my ‘down time’ at home where I can show how smart I am by mastering puzzles and playing games like ‘find the hidden toy --or treat! Each day I’m making up for lost time, learning new things and exploring the world around me. I’ve mastered lots of things very quickly. Mom says that shows I’m learning commands and would like to learn more. Oh, and after a lot of activity, I love to stretch out on the floor (Mom says it’s my Superman stretch.) I’ve also been known to take a nap in that position.) I’m housebroken and crate trained (I go to sleep quietly in my crate after my last walk and stay asleep until morning) and I definitely respond to love AND structure. Because I have a lot of puppy energy, Mom has some ‘tricks’ she uses to channel my excitement when we’re getting ready for a walk. (She promises to share them with you as they make me very happy!) My Ideal Home: *An active couple or person to love *Someone home most of the time *No other pup required – I can be an ‘only’ *Adults or a family with older children Experience level: *Have had dogs as an adult *Recent/current dog experience a plus *Rescue dog experience also a plus So if you are looking for a companion to share your life, keep you active, are patient and committed to helping me become the bestest little guy I can be, please complete our application and ask for me as I’m applying for the job! Snuggles, Cuddles and Happy Adventures. Bouncy, Blissful and Big-Hearted Benji

Story
Hi Everyone, My name is Gregarious Georgie and I’m a loving, cuddly and affectionate pup who is a bichon/maltese mix that is three years old and lots of fun! I have silky cream colored hair with apricot coloring around my eyes and mouth, expressive brown eyes and a perpetual smile. My foster Mom says I’m adorable and a joy to have around. Grandma says I’m attentive, loyal and very sweet. She also says that I’m doing my absolute best to be your bestest friend in the world. I’m the perfect companion, as I am happy to hang out with you when you watch TV, work at your desk, talk on the phone, cook a meal, go for a walk or enjoy the backyard. I simply want to share your world and let you know how much I appreciate you! Did I mention that I like other dogs --as well as little ones called kids and big ones called adults? Well, I do as I’m a happy dog who gets along with everyone. (Mom says to tell you I am a little shy at first with strangers but I warm up quickly!) Grandma says I’m a sporty little dog too. I love to play tennis (no rackets please, just balls) and I often toss the tennis ball to my Mom to encourage her to play. I also love to run track. I race all around the yard after my doggy foster sibling. We have a great time together! And because I’m a good sport, I often let her win! I also like to train so I’m happy to run around by myself too. I’m also housebroken (I go to the door to let you know it’s time to go out) and, like most other FurKids, I’m very social! I like to go on walks and rides (in the car, that is) love being touched and petted, enjoy receiving back rubs and tummy scratches and I smile all the time!!! After playing and having fun, I’m happy to cuddle with you and give you kisses so you feel loved too. And while I’m crate trained, I also like to sleep quietly on my own bed all night long. My Ideal Home: *An active person who is also home a lot and likes to walk, go for rides and cuddle *Another active, playful dog would be nice *I can also be an ‘only’ pup if I get to do playdates with other pups *Adults or a family would be perfect Experience level: *Have had dogs as an adult *Recent/current dog experience a plus Mom says I’m a little ball of sunshine who will light up your life – and that I’m a very special little guy who has been a delight to everyone to have in her home. So if you’re looking for a new little buddy to cuddle with, walk with, talk to, and hang out with, I’m applying for the job. Please ask for me so we can meet. Loves and licks, Gorgeous, Gentle and Good-Natured Georgie

Story
Hello World! My name is Joyful Joby and I’m 12 pounds of fun in a very cute body! I’m about three years old and as sweet as can be. I love riding in the car, going on walks and am excited at all new adventures. Although I’m a bit shy when I first meet strangers once I get to know them, I become attached very quickly and love with all my heart!  I’m definitely a lovebug and one who wants to find my special person or persons . My doggy foster siblings have been “showing me the ropes” and teaching me that the world’s a great place and people are both kind and loving. That has helped me a lot!  My Foster Mom says that playing with toys is my happy time (or is it my Super Power?) I love to play fetch (you should see me in action!), have mastered the art of making music with squeaky toys and love to run in the yard (chasing or being chased by my doggy foster brother and sisters.) I get along great with them but I'd really prefer to be the center of someone's universe. I can learn so much and would bask in the attention. Oh! And I do the bestest zoomies, too!  I’ve been learning commands, understanding how to walk on a leash (I’m fast!) and mastering housebreaking. Mom says I’m a people pleaser and I DO want to make her happy! Now in terms of those creatures called cats, I’m definitely way too interested in the ones I have seen on our walks. So not cats in my forever home please!   And since I haven’t been around many children Mom thinks I’d probably do best in a home with ‘bigger people.’ I’m also going to be most successful with savvy adopters who are able to be patient with me as we get to know one another.  My Ideal Home: *Someone home most of the time *No other pup in the home is required *Adults preferably * No cats or young children Experience level: *Have had dogs as an adult *Recent/current dog experience a plus  So if you are looking for a little lovebug who loves to cuddle, play with toys, go on adventures and be the best companion you could ask for, please complete an application and ask for me. Tail wags and doggy kisses,Joyful and Joyous Joby

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Violet! Violet and her buddy Dash are sweet, calm, and affectionate dogs who are in need of loving new home (or homes) due to their current family's difficult circumstances. Sadly, due to financial hardship and a move to a rental that doesn't allow pets, their family must rehome Violet and Dash. These two have been cherished companions for 3 wonderful years and are now ready to bring joy to another loving household. Violet and Dash have been with their family for 3 years after being rescued from living on the streets. Violet is a spayed Bichon Frise mix estimated to be 11 years old. Dash is a neutered Miniature Poodle also estimated to be 11 years old. Both are in good health for their age, with normal signs of aging (slightly deteriorating teeth, but still eating kibble just fine). They have not needed any major medical procedures recently and do not require medications. House Training: Violet and Dash are potty-trained and have never had accidents indoors. They have a doggie door and are let out every 2 hours to use the yard. Behavior: Violet and Dash are docile, friendly, and very calm. Violet enjoys wandering the house and yard in between naps, while Dash loves to snuggle up on laps for some cuddle time. They are both friendly to strangers, though they will bark initially, but without any aggression or fear. Good with Children & Pets: Violet and Dash are great around children and other dogs. There is a 9-year-old child in their current home, and they are gentle and friendly with him. They are also indifferent toward cats and small animals. Exercise: Violet and Dash enjoy wandering around their yard, but they are not overly active and are best suited for a slower-paced, more relaxed family. If you're looking for two gentle, affectionate dogs who will bring love and joy to your home, Violet and Dash might be the perfect fit for you. They’re sweet, well-behaved, and would make the best companions for anyone looking for a calm and loving pair. If you’re interested in adopting Violet and Dash together or separately, please contact Sarah by calling/texting 626-804-9683 or emailing sbloch42489@gmail.com *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed these dogs medically or behaviorally.*

Story
Meet Bentley! Bentley and Cooper were entrusted to our care through the Final Wish Program as their mom was in hospice care after a battle with cancer. Her family shared how much she loved her dogs, and knowing that they would be safe and loved as Frosted Faces brought her peace. Bentley is 17 years old, weighs 22.5 lbs., and is very sweet. He enjoys going for walks and has plenty of pep in his step! He likes car rides, too, and even tries to hop in and out of the car. Bentley LOVES his little brother Cooper, and the feeling is mutual. We are looking for a special family who will adopt them together. Might that be you? Bentley and Cooper are currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn about these cuties in a home setting. Their Fling Mom shared this update: Bentley and Cooper are sweet and loving dogs who need to stay together. They are a true pair—Bentley looks for Cooper, and Cooper looks for Bentley. These two have been inseparable and deserve to find a forever home where they can continue their special bond. Bentley is the perfect companion for someone who loves a peaceful, low-maintenance dog. He enjoys lounging near you for naps and can easily climb up doggie stairs to be by your side. At 17, Bentley's vision is still sharp while his hearing is slightly diminished. He loves to graze throughout the day but eats well and has great leash manners during walks. He's very easygoing and a joy to be around. At 8 years old, Cooper is more energetic and loves to cuddle. He'll come right to you for snuggles, and his affectionate nature is sure to warm your heart. Unfortunately, Cooper has some dental issues, and he has a dental appointment scheduled for May 8th to address the problem. Despite his dental discomfort, Cooper still loves his meals, although it takes him longer to eat. We're giving him extra time and encouragement, and he'd benefit from some extra weight on his bones. Cooper also enjoys his walks and is generally well-behaved during baths. Both Bentley and Cooper are well-behaved in the car and get along perfectly with my two small dogs. They are incredibly easy to have around. Bentley and Cooper provide each other with comfort and companionship, and we want to ensure they stay together in their forever home. If you're looking for two adorable and loving dogs to join your family, Bentley and Cooper are the perfect match. Please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to meet them!
