Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Lady Carpenter On August 3rd, I received a heartbreaking call from a young woman who had been referred to me by our vet’s office. She had just lost her mom to cancer, and sadly, no one in the family was able to keep her beloved Lady. After 15 years with the only family she had ever known, this precious senior girl was suddenly facing homelessness and the possibility of being sent to a shelter. My heart broke for her. I knew we had to help. I desperately needed an emergency foster, and by the grace of God, a beautiful foster family stepped up and opened their hearts and home to Lady. ❤️ Lady Carpenter is a 15-year-old Bichon/Poodle mix who is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She recently had a dental and a couple of fatty tumors removed, and she has healed beautifully. For a senior girl, she is doing remarkably well, and her bloodwork is all within normal range. Lady is sight and hearing impaired, but don't let that fool you—this little lady gets around remarkably well! She has adapted beautifully and knows how to enjoy the simple things in life. She absolutely loves her home cooked meals, sunbathing and watching the birds, and she is happiest when she can simply relax and take in the world around her. ☀️ Lady is also a perfect angel in the car and would love nothing more than to go everywhere her person goes. She doesn't do well in a crate, but she doesn't need one. She picks her own cozy spot and sleeps beautifully throughout the night. Lady is potty trained, but because she is a senior, she needs to be taken outside about every 2–3 hours to relieve herself. She is looking for a quiet, patient home without young children and preferably no other dogs—or another very friendly, gentle dog who will respect her space. This sweet girl has already lost the person she loved and the only home she knew for 15 years. She doesn't understand why her world suddenly changed. Now, all Lady needs is someone to promise her that she is home again. Someone who will spoil her, cherish her, be patient with her special needs, and let her live out her golden years feeling safe, loved, and pampered. ❤️ I truly believe there is an angel out there for Lady. ✨ If you would like to give Lady the forever home she deserves, please complete our adoption application at www.tlck9rescue.org. Please share Lady's story. Her forever family may be just one share away. ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 26, 2026, 8:25 pm

Story
Hello New Friends! My name is Marvelous Murphy, and I’m a darling one-year-old, white-and-cream Bichon mix who is rather delightful! I have a soft white coat, beautiful brown eyes, weigh 11 pounds and have a lot of love to give. According to my foster family, I’m curious, affectionate, observant, trainable and goofy. (I think that “goofy” is a compliment, don’t you?) Mom says I’m a sweet and affectionate guy who really enjoys people. I’m very friendly with adults as well as strangers, and love getting attention and affection. Most of all I enjoy my foster family’s four-year-old daughter. I like to be near her, want to play with her, and have been known to give her plenty of kisses. I’m sometimes a bit too enthusiastic (I’m still a puppy you know!) but I’m learning my manners, after all!) Dad says one of my most fetching features is my adorable right ear. You see, it stands up just a teeny bit all by itself. Dad calls it the Murphy antenna! Whenever I look at him or Mom (or something catches my attention) I cock my head then my ear goes up! I’m doing well with my potty training, enjoy going for walks, playing in the yard, rarely bark and get along nicely with my foster doggie brother. We haven’t exactly become wrestling champions yet—and I haven’t shown a lot of interest in playing with him—but we’re comfortable sharing our home. We even sleep on the same bed and eat our meals near each other. I think that makes us roommates with excellent manners! While I’m good with other dogs, and having a canine companion might be nice for me, having a child to love and adore would make my heart beat fastest! I’m a friendly, sociable little guy with a sweet disposition and lots of potential. I’m learning my basic commands. Sit, stay and come are all on my curriculum. (I’m a work in progress, but a willing student!) After exercise and exploration, I’m perfectly happy to settle down and enjoy affection. My Ideal Home: *Someone home most of the time *A family with a child or children please * Another FurKid would be fine Experience level: *Had dogs as an adult *Recent/current dog experience What I really want is a family who will love and enjoy me, continue teaching me good manners, and appreciate my sweet personality. I have all the makings of a wonderful companion, and I’m especially sociable with both adults and children. So if you’re looking for an affectionate, observant, trainable and occasionally goofy little guy who loves people, enjoys walks and yard time, gets along with other dogs, and is ready to discover all the wonderful things that come with being a FurKid, I think we should meet! (My right ear will probably give me away when I see you as it has a mind of its own.) Cuddles and snuggles, Magnificent and Marvelous Murphy

Story
Hello World! I’m Calm, Cute and Charming Casey, a handsome little white and taffy-colored boy who is about 4 years old and weighs 19 pounds. I’m a mellow, quiet, happy guy who just might become your new favorite little shadow. (Following you around is kind of my specialty. If you move, I move. It’s a system.) When you first meet me, I may be a little shy. I’m the kind of guy who likes to take my time, observe what’s going on and make sure everything is okay before I jump right in. New people can make me a little nervous, especially when we’re out walking, so I may hide behind my foster Dad until I feel safe. But please don’t take my shyness personally! I just need a little time to get comfortable in a new place and with new people. Once I have time to settle in you’ll see a sweet, happy boy who comes out of his shell. You see, I’m not one of those dogs who meets you for five seconds and immediately decides we are best friends forever. I like to do my research first. I observe. I think. I evaluate. (I’m basically conducting a very important background check.) Once I decide you’re trustworthy, though, you’ll have a little shadow who is VERY interested in everything you do. Dad says I follow him around the house and like to know where ‘my people’ are at all times. If you’re in the kitchen, I’m in the kitchen. If you’re in the living room, I’m in the living room. If you’re wondering where I am… well, you get the picture! I like having another dog around and get along well with my doggie foster brother. I happily follow him around the house. (I’ve decided that wherever he goes is where the fun happens. He may not know this, but I have officially appointed him my tour guide.) And speaking of fun, I have the CUTEST way of showing my excitement. When I’m happy or excited, my front legs start stomping in a fast, rhythmic little paw-tapping dance! Tap-tap-tap-tap-tap! It’s my very own happy dance, and apparently, it’s impossible to watch me without smiling. (I don’t make the rules. My paws do.) I’m also a big fan of the important things in life: head scratches, belly rubs and butt scratches. Yes, I have standards, and those are all on my list! Give me a good belly rub and I’ll immediately consider whether you might be my favorite person. Give me a head scratch? Even better. Butt scratch? Well, now we’re talking serious friendship. I’m playful with my foster Dad and enjoy walks and yard time, but overall I have a moderate activity level. I especially love going for walks and can happily stroll for about 45 minutes. And when the afternoon rolls around, you may find me relaxing under a tree and enjoying the sunshine. I call this “Afternoon Management.” It’s a very demanding position, but somebody has to do it. I’m also a very good boy in the house. I’m housebroken and know how to use the doggie door, which makes things nice and easy. I know “NO” and “LET’S GO,” and I’m working on learning “sit,” “stay” and “come.” Unlike my foster brother, I’m a pretty quiet guy and rarely bark. (He could take a lesson from me! Why waste energy barking when there are belly rubs to be had?) I’m also a good little traveler! I like riding in the car and prefer to sit in the front seat—preferably on someone’s lap, thank you very much. (I’m not sure why anyone would think I should sit anywhere else. I’m clearly a lap dog.) I don’t show separation anxiety when my foster Mom or Dad leave me for an hour or two. I simply sit by the door and quietly and patiently wait for them to come home. I’m very good at waiting. I’m definitely a sweet and gentle guy who just needs someone to understand that good things take a little time. Once I feel safe, though, I’ll become your devoted companion and happily follow you, keep you company and soak up all the love you can share. And I have a LOT to give in return! I think there’s something pretty special about a dog like me. While I may start out as a quiet little guy standing behind my foster Dad, checking out the room but given patience, kindness and a little time, and I’ll make my way into your heart. Then, before you know it, I’ll be following you everywhere, tapping my paws when I’m excited and reminding you that there is absolutely no such thing as too many belly rubs. My Ideal Home: *Someone who is patient and will give me time to feel comfortable *A home with another friendly doggie companion would be wonderful *Someone who likes walks and relaxing time together *Someone who will enjoy a quiet, mellow and calm little shadow *Someone who understands that I may need a little time to trust—but once I do, I’m ALL IN! Dad says I’m a special little guy because underneath my initial shyness is a happy, affectionate and playful boy who really wants to bond with his people. What I’m really looking for is someone I can trust, a doggie friend if possible, some nice walks, a sunny spot under a tree plus head scratches and belly rubs. Oh—and a lap in the front seat. Let’s not forget the important stuff. So if you’re looking for a mellow, quiet, sweet little companion who loves walks, doggie friends, belly rubs and being near his people, please complete an application and ask for me. Your professional paw-tapper and one very happy boy Tap-tap-tap! Calm, Cute and Charming Casey 💕

Story
Hi Everybody! My name is Rowdy, and before you ask...yes, I know what you're thinking. "With a name like Rowdy, this guy must be a wild child!" Well...only a little! (A puppy has a reputation to uphold, after all!) I'm a one-year-old bichon boy, weigh a perfect 12 pounds, and my foster family says I have a permanent smile on my face. Honestly, they're probably right. Life is just too much fun to look serious! If you like happy dogs, you're going to LOVE me. I wake up excited for every new day, every new adventure, every toy, every treat, every walk, and every person I meet. My tail has two speeds—wagging and wagging faster! One of my favorite tricks is standing up on my hind legs when treats appear. (I've found this dramatically improves my chances of getting one!) I also LOVE my toys and can usually convince one of my foster doggy siblings to play a spirited game of tug-of-war. Running around the yard with my doggy friends is one of my favorite ways to spend the day, and my foster Mom says I have a special gift for making new dogs feel comfortable. I'm a social butterfly wrapped in fluffy white fur! People? Oh yes...I love them, too! Whether we're playing, exploring, or just hanging out together, I'm happiest when I'm part of the action. Then, when the fun winds down, I transform into an expert cuddle bug. I'll snuggle right up next to you, sleep peacefully through the night, and remind you that I'm just as sweet as I am playful. I'm doing great with my house manners, too. I sleep quietly in my crate all night without accidents, let my foster Mom know when I need to go outside, answer to my name, and have really good recall. Next on my list is learning "sit." (I hear treats are involved, so I'm highly motivated!) Car rides? Those are fun! When I was rescued, I hopped in the car, enjoyed the cool air conditioning, watched the world go by, and acted like I'd been doing it forever. My foster Mom says I'm healthy, happy, affectionate, playful, and just plain lovable. I think she's right—but I'll let you decide when we meet! My Ideal Home: A family ready for a young, playful pup Another friendly dog because I absolutely love having canine buddies People who enjoy walks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles Experience Level: Have had dogs as an adult Recent or current dog experience is a plus Ready to continue teaching a smart young boy all the fun things dogs should know So, if your home could use a little more laughter, a few more games of tug, lots of cuddles, and one adorable little guy with a smile that never quits, I think we've found each other. I'm waiting to meet you...and I have a feeling we're going to have a whole lot of fun together! Tail wags, puppy kisses, and happy dances, Rascally, Radiant and Resilient Rowdy

Story
We are carefully looking for the right home for Bobo, our adorable 8-month-old purebred Bichon Frise. He is healthy, happy, affectionate, and loves people. He enjoys cuddling, playing, walks, and being part of the family. He’s smart, food-motivated, mostly house-trained, sleeps through the night, rarely barks (including around other dogs), and has learned basic commands and routines. He also does well riding in the car in his dog backpack. Bobo has a fun, playful personality and is a very loving little guy. Like any young dog, he still has plenty of puppy energy and is continuing to work on his manners and training. He is fully vaccinated and comes with his records and paperwork. Our work situation has changed, and we’re no longer able to give Bobo the time and attention he deserves. We’d love to find someone who genuinely loves companion dogs and is excited to welcome a puppy into their family. We can also provide his crate, bed, toys, food, waste bags, and other supplies.
